Trump White House and Other Federal Agencies Join Bluesky, Urge Its Users to Help End Shutdown
“PATRIOTS! We must work together and appeal to their patriotic spirit and ask for a hand in stopping the Democrats’ government shutdown.”
One of the most effective ways of driving your political opposition crazy is to show that you are willing to take them on in their safe spaces and to sometimes play the game (and win) by their rules.
President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance clearly know how to do that, and so does the White House social media team, which on Friday debuted its Bluecry, I mean Bluesky account, with their first post to the perpetually outraged leftists who ran to Bluesky after the 2024 election being sort of a Trump’s “greatest hits” montage that included accomplishments, memes including the Schumer-Jeffries sombrero one, and pro-America messaging.
The text of the message read “What’s up, Bluesky? We thought you might’ve missed some of our greatest hits, so we put this together for you. Can’t wait to spend more quality time together! ❤️🇺🇸”
They posted the same video on other social media platforms to encourage followers to also follow them on Bluesky. A link to their account appears at the end of the video:
We realized everyone over at Bluesky probably wasn't seeing our content.
So we decided to fix that.
Here are some of our greatest hits all in one place. Enjoy ❤️🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/v6SdrMIWtW

Federal departments, including HHS, the USDOT, and DHS, also have accounts at Bluesky, with many of them (at least the ones I’ve seen) being created this week. A consistent theme among the accounts right now is to urge people to put pressure on Democrats to end the Schumer shutdown.
Making all of these accounts on Bluesky is actually really smart by the Trump administration. The insane leftists on there won’t be able to help themselves from constantly calling for violence and making death threats that can be used to expose them.

Vance started a Bluesky account back in June and was suspended 12 minutes from the time he put up his first message (the suspension was lifted a short time later), quipping, “Hello Bluesky, I’ve been told this app has become the place to go for common sense political discussion and analysis. So I’m thrilled to be here to engage with all of you.”
As of this writing, there is no Bluesky account for Trump, who posts all of his messages on his Truth Social site, and sometimes on X.
DHS shared their own announcement on X, inviting its followers to give their Bluesky account a look-see, and adding a video of Bluesky’s CEO, Jay Graber, saying she’d welcome Trump joining Bluesky because it was “for everyone”:
We hear we’re VERY POPULAR on Bluesky! (many people are saying)

Needless to say, there were a lot of these types of responses on Bluesky:
The responses on the White House Bluesky account pretty much all look like this. I think they’ve missed talking to Trump. pic.twitter.com/nWNRIXRuOr

Back in September, after news broke of the assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk, some Bluesky users began celebrating and posting death wishes and threats against Trump, Elon Musk, and popular conservative commentators like Ben Shapiro:
Posters called for Tesla tycoon Elon Musk, conservative podcasters Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh and Michael Knowles, as well as “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling to be “next” in the hours after Kirk, 31, was pronounced dead, according to screenshots shared by one user.
Some brazen accounts called for outright violence, including one who wrote, “I hope they shoot Ben Shapiro next,” while another compared the violence to a “game of whack a mole.”
URGENT. FYI.
After Charlie Kirk, on the sky app there are people asking for the next person to be targeted. These include JK Rowling, Matt Walsh, Trump, Ben Shapiro, Libs of TikTok, Elon Musk, and Andy Ngo.

It got so bad that Bluesky had to issue a reminder and warning:
“Glorifying violence or harm violates Bluesky’s Community Guidelines. We review reports and take action on content that celebrates harm against anyone. Violence has no place in healthy public discourse, and we’re committed to fostering healthy, open conversations,” the social media platform wrote in a post.
In June, it was reported that engagement had dropped sharply at Bluesky compared to the days after the election, when leftists were fleeing X:
A recent Pew Research Center analysis found that many news influencers have Bluesky accounts (I’m one of them) but that, like me, two-thirds post irregularly. By contrast, more than 80 percent still post to X on most days. Engagement on Bluesky appears to have peaked in mid-November. It’s now down about 50 percent, and the decline shows no sign of leveling out.
Aww. Bless their hearts.

Trump and his White House now on Bluesky.
Expect a warm welcome, with greetings filled with decency and thoughtful comment.

Maybe Musk can buy Bluesky for about what it’s worth, a half of a pack of menthols and an “I’m with HER!” bumper sticker.
One of my favorite Trump quotes is, “we like to troll. We do a little trolling, it’s called we do a little trolling.” He’s a master at trolling. He casts the bait and they always fall for it. They can’t help themselves.
Shame on Trump, for invading the Democrats’ “safe space.”
What does he think Bluesky is, a women’s locker room?
