Scholar Warns University Indoctrination is Driving Cultural Divide in America
“Any kind of inequality whatsoever is viewed as injustice, and it really ignites a firestorm under students to feel like they’ve got the ability to service in the cause of justice”
This is so true. Especially now that the Democrat Party has basically adopted the politics of the campus left.
FOX News reports:
How university indoctrination turned deadly, and why one scholar says it’s only getting worse
The killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and a deadly school shooting in Minneapolis are raising new concerns about ideology-fueled violence.
Dr. Corey Miller, president and CEO of Ratio Christi, a Christian apologetics and evangelism organization operating primarily on college and university campuses, told Fox News Digital, “What’s happening in the universities impacts what’s happening in the culture.”
“Politics is downstream from culture, culture is downstream from education,” he explained.
Kirk was assassinated during a Turning Point USA event on the campus of Utah Valley University in September. Weeks earlier in August, a gunman killed two children and left 18 others injured during a mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. Lawmakers and experts have argued over whether ideology played a role in the shootings.
Miller, a philosopher and author of “The Progressive Miseducation of America,” argues that America’s culture wars start in the classroom.
Miller argues that universities are breeding grounds for ideological intolerance, laying blame on Marxist ideas.
“There is a postmodern kind of cultural Marxism that is being taught at the universities that feed this hostility of what is an assassination culture. It is a lower view of human life,” he reasoned.
Miller told Fox News Digital the Marxist worldview taught at many universities turns people against one another by emphasizing social status and identity.
“Any kind of inequality whatsoever is viewed as injustice, and it really ignites a firestorm under students to feel like they’ve got the ability to service in the cause of justice,” Miller said.

Indoctrination driving a cultural divide was present in public schools in the 60s and 70s.
And now they’ve all come out of their 55+ communities to relive their youth and pretend like they’re doing something.
Those geezers are just addicts chasing the magical high they experienced at their first antiwar protest.
You mean those years where the Weather Underground and Students for a Democratic Society were rioting and planting bombs all over the country?
“Any kind of inequality whatsoever is viewed as injustice, and it really ignites a firestorm under students to feel like they’ve got the ability to service in the cause of justice,”
The “ugly” truth is that inequality is necessary for systems to function.
If an engine doesn’t contain more energy than its environment, it doesn’t function as an engine.
Economics is the study of efficient allocation of limited resources… because in the real world, resources are ALWAYS limited. And economics is not like law — a bunch of rules determined by men — but like physics — a bunch of rules determined by mathematics and the nature of the universe.
The basic engine of economics is not stockpile, but flow. This is why you can’t pay a CEO the same as a dock worker, why capital availability deserves compensation, why price “gouging” is a moral response to goods shortages (including during emergencies), and why price “controls” always result in totally equal access to… empty store shelves.
It is one of the three basic reasons why communist societies never work.
There’s a name for a system of perfect total equality — entropy, the final death of the universe.
These kids aren’t old enough to have figured all this out from their own experience. They’d understand it easily if they were taught, but nobody is teaching it to them. Why?
Oh yeah — because their teachers are all diehard socialists, having successfully weeded out and unhired anybody with competing, rational ideas.
Are you really suggesting that ALL professors are diehard socialists and that universities have “weeded out and un-hired” conservative, right-thinking professors? If so, you are wrong. I cannot begin to list all the many conservative professors that I know scattered throughout colleges and universities in our country. Many of these men and women stay to bring encouragement and offer support to otherwise beleaguered conservative students. I’ll mention two: one is my daughter, the other young man teaches at the university where Charlie Kirk was m*rd*r*d.
Sophie, that’s two out of how many hundreds of thousands? It’s a known fact that 70+% of university “instructors” (read: indoctrinators) are hard-core leftists. It’s also known that the vast majority – 90% or more – of political donations from university faculty go to leftist candidates.
