Latest Strikes on Suspected Drug Boats Kill 14 in Eastern Pacific
This is the second strike in the Eastern Pacific.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced the military struck four suspected drug boats in the Eastern Pacific on Monday.
One survived the attack.
Hegseth wrote on X:
Yesterday, at the direction of President Trump, the Department of War carried out three lethal kinetic strikes on four vessels operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations (DTO) trafficking narcotics in the Eastern Pacific.
The four vessels were known by our intelligence apparatus, transiting along known narco-trafficking routes, and carrying narcotics.
Eight male narco-terrorists were aboard the vessels during the first strike. Four male narco-terrorists were aboard the vessel during the second strike. Three male narco-terrorists were aboard the vessel during the third strike. A total of 14 narco-terrorists were killed during the three strikes, with one survivor. All strikes were in international waters with no U.S. forces harmed.
Regarding the survivor, USSOUTHCOM immediately initiated Search and Rescue (SAR) standard protocols; Mexican SAR authorities accepted the case and assumed responsibility for coordinating the rescue.
The Department has spent over TWO DECADES defending other homelands. Now, we’re defending our own. These narco-terrorists have killed more Americans than Al-Qaeda, and they will be treated the same. We will track them, we will network them, and then, we will hunt and kill them.

The military has struck many suspected drug boats since September, mainly in the Caribbean.
This is the second strike in the Eastern Pacific.
Last week, the military took out a boat operated by Tren de Aragua (TdA) in the Caribbean.

After watching the video it was perfectly clear to me that the ship attacked was actually the S.S. Minnow.
RIP, castaways! Your three hour tour is over!
(I always suspected that the Professor was the OG Walter White)
Just sit right and I’ll tell a tale ..a tale of a fateful trip….boom.
Said, Californie is the place y’oughta be…
So they loaded up their drug boat
And met their destiny
Killed, that is
Missile strikes, Coast Guard
I managed to survive yesterday’s attacks by following the law and not trafficking in illegal drugs.
Imagine that.
Yes, but did you make it on tv. Everyone deserves their 15 minutes of fame
Wow! The bales of drugs is so obvious in the one boat! Big white bundles lying on board obviously not fishermen. Rand Paul will be whining about the mules Civil rights soon along with Jefferies and Schumer.
But have they read To Kill A Mockingbird?!??!
Seriously though, this is long overdue. These drug runners are not random fishermen, the pictures make it LAUGHABLY obvious who they are and what they’re doing, and in basically all cases they sent the Coast Guard to tell them to stop and be boarded, and they tried to run, so they were blown up.
I think they read Clear and Present Danger instead…
Trump is giving the Democrats an opportunity to stand with new heroes, until, of course, the seafarers are blown to smithereens.
So far Democrats have managed to not be Democrats and side with terrorist drug runners. I suspect they are just biding their time hoping a mistake will be made.
I worry that an over-zealous anti-drug operation will eventually sink a likely-looking drug smuggling boat – that wasn’t.
Alternately, a cartel will follow the example of over-zealous woke uni students and manufacture an “incident” where an apparent “drug courier” boat wasn’t – but it had purposely been made to check all the “I’m a drug boat” boxes.
OTH I fully support no longer having a CG boat peacefully asking a suspected drug boat to heave to under Terms of Engagement which require the CG to endanger their crews and get THEIR boats shot up first.
We are no longer using LEO operational rules to combat narcoterrorist entities. Instead we are responding to a National Security threat with military force, tactics and a far less constrained RoE.
In Ramadi in 06/07 we imposed a nighttime curfew. It was enforced by shooting anyone out after dark. We didn’t ask what they were doing/where they were going. Instead we simply killed all those we found out after dark in violation of the curfew. They became a legitimate target by their own actions. Very similar approach here; vessels depart from certain ports, the type of vessel, hours of operation, certain routes of travel all add up to the end result of becoming a legitimate target and destruction of that target.
Yes, but back then men knew what men were and didn’t cosplay as girls.
We shot Men, Women, Old, Young, any and every person who violated the curfew… none of the distinctive labels mattered. What did matter was that they turned into nothing more than a target to be eliminated by violating the curfew.
Same for the 100 meter sometimes 50 meter ‘bubble’ for vehicles approaching a convoy. If they didn’t pull over to avoid us we opened fire. Didn’t matter about the occupant(s) age, sex, gender or their actual intentions. All that mattered was they didn’t pull over and stop and by that refusal turned themselves into targets. I vividly recall shooting up a station wagon full of kids with a .50 Cal b/c the idiot driving ignored our warning flares. Sucks to be them.
I have 3 nephews dead from fentanyl, all from the black sheep branch of the family. They had children.
All 3 were suffering from the sins of their parents, well sort of parents, if you know what I mean. Too may of American’s children are being ruined with piss poor parenting.
