UPDATE – Hamas Gives “Yes, But” Response To Peace Deal, Trump Celebrates

President Donald Trump has given Hamas until Sunday evening to agree to his 20-point peace plan for Gaza or face “all hell”.

“If this last chance agreement is not reached, all hell, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas,” President Trump wrote on Truth Social on Friday. “There will be peace in the Middle East one way or the other,” he declared.

The Gaza-based terrorist group has to accept the deal by 6 p.m. Washington time on Sunday.

President Trump reminded Hamas terrorists in Gaza, and those who are hiding abroad, of their precarious situation. They were “surrounded and MILITARILY TRAPPED, just waiting for me to give the word, ‘GO,’ for their lives to be quickly extinguished. As for the rest, we know where and who you are, and you will be hunted down, and killed,” he wrote.

According to the president, there is only one way out for Hamas terrorists holding 48 remaining hostages — out of whom only 20 are believed to be alive — since October 7, 2023: “Release the hostages, all of them, including the bodies of those that are dead, now!”

NBC News reported:

President Donald Trump said he’s giving Hamas until 6 p.m. Sunday to accept the ceasefire proposal his administration offered this week to end the war in Gaza.“If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas,” Trump wrote Friday in a lengthy post on Truth Social.Trump said earlier this week that he would give Hamas three to four days to respond to the plan, which Israel has backed. Qatar, which had been helping faciliate peace efforts, said it was delivered to a Hamas delegation on Monday evening by Qatari and Egyptian officials. The president claimed 25,000 members of Hamas have been killed following the militant group’s Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack on Israel. He also suggested that he would “give the word” on whether to further decimate the group, though U.S. forces are not in Gaza.“Most of the rest are surrounded and MILITARILY TRAPPED, just waiting for me to give the word, ‘GO,’ for their lives to be quickly extinguished. As for the rest, we know where and who you are, and you will be hunted down, and killed. I am asking that all innocent Palestinians immediately leave this area of potentially great future death for safer parts of Gaza,” he said. But then he said that Hamas would be given “one last chance!”“THIS DEAL ALSO SPARES THE LIVES OF ALL REMAINING HAMAS FIGHTERS!” he wrote. “The details of the document are known to the WORLD, and it is a great one for ALL! We will have PEACE in the Middle East one way or the other. The violence and bloodshed will stop. RELEASES THE HOSTAGES, ALL OF THEM, INCLUDING THE BODIES OF THOSE THAT ARE DEAD, NOW!”

On Monday, visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to the 20-point Gaza peace plan at a White House meeting with President Trump. On Tuesday, the president gave Hamas “three or four days” to respond to his offer. “We’re just waiting for Hamas, and Hamas is either going to be doing it or not. And if it’s not, it’s going to be a very sad end,” he told reporters.

According to the plan, “Gaza will be a deradicalised terror-free zone that does not pose a threat to its neighbours.” Hamas terrorists will have to “decommission their weapons” and “will be given amnesty” or “safe passage” out of Gaza in return. They will also return “all hostages, alive and deceased,” who have been languishing in Gaza captivity for nearly two years.

With Hamas gone, Gaza “will be redeveloped for the benefit of the people of Gaza,” the document says.

The Trump peace plan has the support of all Muslim and Arab nations, including Qatar, which provides a haven for Hamas’s terrorist leadership abroad.

IDF foils Hamas raid on Gaza humanitarian zone

While Washington and Jerusalem are working together to bring about peace, Hamas tried to attack Gaza residents who had moved to safe zones as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a ground operation in Gaza City. On Wednesday, Hamas fired rockets at southern Israel.

“Today (Friday), an IAF aircraft, directed by IDF troops, IDF Intelligence Directorate, and the ISA, eliminated an armed Hamas terrorist cell of approximately 20 terrorists who attempted to carry out a raid against Gazan residents in the Humanitarian Area in the southern Gaza Strip,” the Israeli military disclosed in a press release.

The attacking Hamas terrorists even tried to use children as human shields. “After the strike, an aircraft identified several terrorists attempting to exploit Gazan children as human shields,” the IDF said. “The terrorists were eliminated a few minutes afterward, without harming the uninvolved civilians who were held by them.”

Hamas has been threatening and attacking civilians who are trying to leave Gaza City for safe zones designated by the Israeli military. “In recent weeks, the IDF has identified repeated attempts by the Hamas terrorist organization to prevent residents from moving south to the Humanitarian Area, while brutally exploiting the civilian population as human shields for terrorist activities,” the IDF added. “In spite of Hamas’ activities, so far over 870,000 residents have evacuated south from Gaza City.”

UPDATE (BY WAJ)

I hope I’m wrong, but it looks like Hamas managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. More on this tomorrow when we hear the Israeli reaction and perhaps learn more details.
