IDF Drone Footage Shows Hamas Faking Recovery of Hostage Body
“The video, filmed by an IDF drone that had been in the area, shows Hamas members placing Tzarfati’s remains in a freshly dug hole before covering the remains with dirt.”
A newly released Israeli drone footage shows Hamas terrorists staging the recovery of a hostage’s body. In a video captured by an IDF surveillance drone, Hamas terrorists are seen dumping the remains of a body in a freshly dug hole before covering it up with sand. They later return to the site with an excavator and a Red Cross team, pretending to have located the body.
The ‘body’ returned by Hamas does not belong to any of the remaining thirteen Israeli hostages. According to Israeli officials, they are merely body parts of Ofir Tzarfati, a 27-year-old engineering student, who was abducted from the Nova festival during the October 7 massacre. In December 2023, Israel recovered Tzarfati’s remains from Gaza in a covert military operation.
“The video shows Hamas operatives bringing a body bag from a building to a hole that was dug in the ground and covering it in dirt,” The Times of Israel reported on Tuesday. “The operatives are then seen digging up the body bag they had just hidden, using an excavator, before moving it and dumping it nearby.”
Hamas lies. They know where the remaining hostages are. Staged excavations are not only abusive – these violations endanger the ceasefire.

The incident once again shows how Hamas is trying to dupe Israel and the rest of the world into believing that it cannot find the bodies of the thirteen remaining hostages. The fact that Hamas brought the body from a separate location and staged the recovery confirms Israeli claims that it knows the location of all the bodies.
According to the ceasefire deal brokered by President Donald Trump, Hamas is obliged to return all hostages, dead or alive, within the first 72 hours. With the deal now in its third week, the terrorist group is still holding on to the hostages’ bodies as bargaining chips for further extortion.
💔 The family of Ofir Tzarfati confirmed that additional remains of their son were returned to Israel last night.
Ofir was abducted from the Nova music festival on his birthday and murdered in captivity. His body was recovered and buried in 2023.

Israel’s Ynetnews reported:
Newly released drone footage from Gaza City shows Hamas terrorists staging the return of the remains of slain Israeli hostage Ofir Tzarfati, Israeli officials said Tuesday. The video, recorded Monday afternoon, captures the terrorists placing a white bag containing what appeared to be Tzarfati’s remains in a pit, covering it with sand, and summoning Red Cross representatives within minutes.
According to the footage, at 4:07 p.m., based on the drone’s timestamp, several Hamas terrorists are seen taking a white bag from a building and placing it in a large pit that had already been dug at the site. They then pile sand over the bag and move away. Two minutes later, a tractor arrives, scoops up the sand and bag with its shovel, and positions it nearby.
At 4:13 p.m., representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross are brought to the location. The tractor lowers the sand and the bag to the ground, and the Hamas terrorists present it to the Red Cross team. After several minutes, the Red Cross personnel step back as the terrorists uncover the bag once again, filming the area and the scene around it.
Israeli officials described the event as a cynical display and a clear violation of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. Under the deal, Hamas is obligated to return all hostages — both living and slain — held in Gaza.
In recent days, Hamas has claimed it does not know the locations of all the hostages’ bodies or remains. However, Israeli officials said the newly released footage contradicts that claim, showing the group not only knew where Tzarfati’s remains were but also staged an orchestrated performance before handing them over.
Following Hamas’s fake recovery operation, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government is considering punitive measures, Israel Hayom newspaper reported:
Israeli officials racked their brains Tuesday over how to respond to Hamas’ latest violation after the terror organization returned the remains of hostage Ofir Tzarfati, who was not among the 13 fallen hostages still held in Gaza.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened an urgent meeting Tuesday afternoon after his testimony in court was cut short due to security developments.
Israel is examining a series of punishment measures against Hamas for repeated agreement violations. Some of the sanctions under consideration include moving the yellow line westward, meaning expanding Israeli-controlled territory; re-entering the Netzarim Corridor to restrict Palestinian movement; reducing aid convoys and limiting entry of goods; and continuing the closure of the Rafah crossing.
A first penalty step was already decided when Hamas operatives were banned from working with the Red Cross in Israeli-controlled areas. The move was approved earlier this week to locate fallen hostages.
Drone footage from Gaza reveals how Hamas staged for the Red Cross the “discovery” of the body of hostage Ofir Tzarfati, who was returned from Gaza in a military operation about two years ago.

Fox News: Hamas violates ceasefire, shoots at Israeli soldiers
Hamas violated the ceasefire on Tuesday by attacking Israeli troops stationed in Gaza, Fox News reported.
Israeli media reports confirmed a strong military response to the terrorist attack. “The IDF struck Hamas-used infrastructure in southern Gaza after members of the terror group fired at soldiers, the Prime Minister’s Office confirmed on Tuesday,” the Jerusalem Post reported. “Hamas fired an anti-tank missile and gunshots at IDF troops in Rafah, marking an additional ceasefire violation by the terrorist group.”
According to Fox News, Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered a military response to Hamas’s aggression:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered “immediate and powerful strikes” in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday after an Israeli military official told Fox News that Hamas violated the ceasefire.
The official said the terrorist group attacked Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers in Rafah.
“Following the security consultations, Prime Minister Netanyahu instructed the military echelon to carry out immediate and powerful strikes in the Gaza Strip,” Netanyahu’s office said Tuesday.

Hostages have been used as shiny objects by both sides since the beginning. They’re not important. What’s important is undying hostility to Jews with no structure capable of surrender.
Fortunately, you are not the importance czar.
Really? Point at the Israeli held innocent “hostages”. You usually make left of center and sometimes silly remarks but this might be the first remarks that are not only openly anti semetic but try the old equivalency game.
Hostages are the only reason to not obliterate these people and show them a real genocide (of the terrorists).
What a stupid comment.
How about this. How about both Israel and the United States acknowledge the fact that there will never be peace in the region as long as Hamas is allowed to continue to exist. (Sorry Donnie, your little peace plan isn’t working.) And then allow the Israeli military to take the actions that should have been taken a long time ago to ensure the safety of both Israel and Israeli citizens. Yes, I mean what I say. The only way there will be peace if one side or the other no longer exists. You would have thought at at least Netanyahu would have figured that one out by now and taken appropriate action to protect both Israel and Israeli citizens. But apparently not.
Netanyahu certainly had that all figured out long ago, but he has had to act according to real world circumstances. Rather than bombing Hamas out of existence on Day 1, he has been hampered by Israel’s relationships with other nations, both friend and adversary/foe. Israel was not fully free to act as it might have wished, and Hamas fully deserved.
Why do people feel the need to knock Trump about the ceasefire? Had he not tried to mediate a ceasefire and had supported the IDF’s destruction of Hamas, he’d be criticized for that too, and by some of the very same people who are criticizing him now.
Look at it this way – Hamas’ (predictable) failure to abide by the ceasefire provides justification for Israel to continue hammering it out of existence, and provides justification for continued US support to do exactly that. Was it a trap to shore up support for Israel?
Also, the ceasefire was useful for getting the living hostages back. Trump doesn’t get credit for that? It was part and parcel of the ceasefire for which you are now mocking him. What good did Biden do with respect to the hostages? None. The only flak he took was for his support of Israel, as grudgingly as it may have been provided by his administration.
It’s easy to criticize those who attempt great things and fail. Would you rather he not have tried?
Wrong button. Sorry. Should have been an upvote
Because negotiating with terrorists is ultimately futile and will get one nowhere in the long term. Trump should have known that. Netanyahu should have definitely known that simple truth. And if you don’t believe me then how many ceasefires have been imposed between Hamas and Israel. How many Peace Accords over the decades. How many Peace Agreements. All failed. Each and everyone one of them failed miserably to bring Hamas to heel. And now we can add Trump’s idiotic Peace Deal to the list. But at least he got a medal for being the Great Peacemaker, right? Wonder if he’ll be required to return it to Egypt now that the peace deal is predictably falling apart.
I wouldn’t have. Nor would a lot of the people that I know that have opinion on the matter. it’s time to put an end to the problem that is the Middle East. And the way to do that is to eliminate the problem party.
Oh good, so the military action can start again from square one and the IDF has to take back all the land and territory that they had taken before they were required to give it up and retreat behind the Yellow Line. Yeah no, Trump truly believes he is the Great Peacemaker and had actually brokered a peace between Israel and Hamas. That was his only motivation. That and his desire to get the Nobel Peace prize though he only got some gaudy costume jewelry out of it from Egypt.
‘
Nope. Trump receives no credit for that as the deal was that both the living hostages and the dead hostages were to be turned over to the Israeli authorities. And as far as I know that never happened. They got the 20 living hostages returned which is a good thing but the 28 known dead hostages were never returned. And now apparently Hamas is faking the dead hostages for whatever sick sad reason they think they have to do so. no, Trump receives no credit as Hamas did not abide by the Peace Agreement and return both the living and the dead. That’s 48 hostages by the way.
Why was it up to Trump to try. As it apparently stands now Israel and the IDF are going to have to re-fight the very war they were on the verge of winning before they were required to retreat behind the Yellow Line and hand over everything back to Hamas so that they could regroup (with the 2,000 terrorists Israel turned over for the 20 living hostages), rearm and then recommence the terroristic violence against Israel and Israeli citizens. They’d have been much better off if Trump had just stayed the heck out of it and allowed them to do what they needed to do to ensure the safety of Israel and Israeli citizens. Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result is the very definition of insanity. And it was insane that Trump tried to broker a peace with Hamas and the Arab terrorists in light of every failure in the past.
But there you go and here we are. Right back to square one with Hamas.
You think they don’t know that? It’s a show for the normies. They expect their “leadership” to accomplish things, even the impossible.
No, not back at square one. The IDF no longer has to worry about killing live hostages. And it’s a safe bet that the IDF knows what those released terrorists had for breakfast this morning. They are probably on a list for elimination. Any smart terrorist in an Israeli prison, when offered the opportunity to be repatriated, would have declined the offer. The terrorists were much better off in Israeli custody than they are now, downrange from IDF weapons.
No, not by the same people.
Anyone who was not already supporting Israel will not be persuaded by its breach of this deal.
This is a broken record, playing the same tune over and over, entitled, “I know better than everyone.”
“According to the ceasefire deal brokered by President Donald Trump, Hamas is obliged to return all hostages, dead or alive, within the first 72 hours. With the deal now in its third week, the terrorist group is still holding on to the hostages’ bodies”
So why continue to pretend that this farce is still in force? Bring the hammer down and end this
Yeah what about that red line Trump? Trump? Trump? Look just get out of the way and let Israel bring down the hammer.
Nuke Gaza from space. It’s the only way to be sure.
And the Red Cross “officials” are probably part of the scam too.
Of course they are. Notice they only now got involved? They check on war criminals held by Israel but never made a noise about innocents taken by Hamas.
But now that it’s just a matter of retrieving corpses, they’re on the spot to make Hamas look like they’re cooperating.
This act by Hamas, its allies on the ground supported with propaganda in the legacy media and by other surrogates is IMO incredibly stupid and short sighted. Hamas doesn’t seem to have internalized the fact for a great many people in Israel, in the region, around the world and very importantly by those with the power to act….the old formulations and equations have irrevocably changed. They ain’t going back to the pre Oct 7 status quo.
Back in the day, Richard Landes deconstructed Pallywood, and in the segment there was a corpse that fell off a stretcher, but then got up and resumed his place. It was classic. See the youtube, starting at 5:25.

The Red Cross is just as complicit in Hamas’ crimes as UNRWA.
Trump tried to get a ceasefire and it’s better than anyone has done to date. We all knew Hamas would do everything it could to sabotage it so they could remain “victims” of those dirty jews in Israel and continue to get billions of international aid.
I’m still not convinced Hamas knows where all of the remaining hostages or their bodies are. They farmed them out to multiple factions and it’s likely that at least some of them were killed a year ago or more, the bodies buried and the people that did it then killed themselves.
Hamas are animals making the main part of this barely qualify as news.
That the Red Cross was openly and actively involved however should be the primary story.
