FBI Probes Hunting Stand Overlooking Trump’s Air Force One Exit in Palm Beach
A law enforcement source told Fox News that the stand appeared to have been in place “months ago.”
Federal authorities are investigating the discovery of a suspicious elevated hunting stand positioned with a direct line of sight to where President Donald Trump exits Air Force One at Palm Beach International Airport. A revelation raising new questions about ongoing threats to the president’s safety.
According to Fox News, the U.S. Secret Service uncovered the stand on Thursday while conducting routine sweeps ahead of Trump’s weekend return to Florida.
“Prior to the President’s return to West Palm Beach, USSS discovered what appeared to be an elevated hunting stand within sight line of the Air Force One landing zone,” said FBI Director Kash Patel. “No individuals were located at the scene. The FBI has since taken the investigatory lead, flying in resources to collect all evidence from the scene, and deploying our cell phone analytics capabilities.”
Officials have not yet linked the structure to any individual, but the timing and placement have drawn serious concern.
“There was no impact to any movements, and no individuals were present or involved at the location,” said Secret Service communications chief Anthony Guglielmi, emphasizing that the discovery occurred during “advance security preparations” before Trump’s arrival. “While we are not able to provide details about the specific items or their intent, this incident underscores the importance of our layered security measures.”
A law enforcement source told Fox News that the stand appeared to have been in place “months ago.” The FBI has assumed full control of the investigation and is working with local Palm Beach authorities to determine its origin and purpose.
NBC News, which confirmed the discovery and FBI probe, reported that “the U.S. Secret Service is working closely with the FBI and our law enforcement partners in Palm Beach County,” adding that the find was made through “technology and comprehensive physical sweeps” near the airport.
The incident comes on the heels of multiple recent assassination attempts against Trump, including the July 2024 shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania, and the Florida golf course sniper plot by Ryan Routh, who was convicted last month.
That history makes this new discovery especially alarming. A hunting stand with an unobstructed view of the Air Force One landing zone is no trivial coincidence. It signals a potentially escalating threat environment surrounding the president.
Given the pattern of attempted attacks, this is more than an oddity. It is an urgent matter demanding immediate and exhaustive investigation.

It was in place for months before they found it?
President Trump needs to hire private security.
Agreed
I grew up in WPB. I know the airport and its surrounding areas very well. There is no hunting anywhere around the airport. None. That stand is a snipers nest.
Agreed
Especially if the stand is oriented for fire in the direction of the airport. No hunter (at least no hunter with any sense) would shoot in that direction whether there’s hunting in the area or not.
I see what you mean. The airport is urbanized right up to the perimeter all the way around. There are few places that even have the trees in which an elevated hunting stand could be built. There is certainly no place in which to hunt.
Nor is there any large game in that area to hunt. Unless your intended target is human beings.
I suspect the stand was located on the army reserve facility and agree that this is very likely an assassination attempt. After the news broke, I looked at PBI on Google maps. First, nobody would hunt here because it is in the middle of the city. Second, no hunter would set up their stand to shoot into the airport. Third, Trump’s private plane is visible on Google maps and is close to the wooded area at the army facility south of the airport.
Is the surrounding property private or public land? I’ve been wondering.
The surrounding area is urban. The area to the south has a canal that belongs to the Water Management District. The wooded area looks to be the easement for the canal.
I wonder why it is called a ‘hunting stand’ IS that a distinct type of stand or is it any stand when it is used for hunting.
A hunting stand is for shooting down at deer and hogs. They never look up for danger. You can buy ones that unfold and come with straps to attach to a tree. In areas that do allow hunting you would spread “deer corn” below to get the animals used to find ing food there. Many states have outlawed the practice.
It’s distinct from items like a public address (PA) stand, used for supporting speakers for public events. A hunting stand has to be robust enough to support a human of significant size for an extended period of time. Most stands have seats, proving again that English is weird.
There is a slight chance that this could be used by a birdwatcher / nature photographer. They might use a hunting stand while taking photographs. Hopefully, that is the case.
They’re commercially available, and if you were in the market for one, that’s the phrase you would search for.
You can’t hunt anything there! A couple of years ago I went on an iguana hunting trip in the canals near there. At one point we passed under a bridge and the guide told us to put our rifles (air powered pellet guns) down. We were, briefly; in WPB and NO firearm discharge was allowed. So it’s only for hunting two legged prey. As for a bird watcher place? By a busy airport?? Not likely. Don’t know why the Secret Service didn’t just keep it under serious surveillance and not go public with the info. Unless they’re worried of NOT being able to stop the potential sniper.
I’d like to think that they alter the routine for loading and offloading AF1.
Why publicize this? Why not just watch it and catch whomever set it up?
Because the story may be just nonsense but run to keep the nation in The Crusis of the Week.
Yes. I am that cynical.
because we are governed by morons
Because they’re afraid someone will criticize them for not having done their jobs.
Any person who thinks that these vile, evil and subversive Dhimmi-crat/”socialist”/”progressive”/Islamofascist/Muslim supremacist, fifth columnist pukes are going to repent of their brazen and intrinsic terrorist/assassination ways, is naive.
The Dhimmi-crats know that they are losing the battle of ideas and policy, and, increasingly, are losing at the ballot box. Reversion to their intrinsic and innate terrorism and violence is their only path to power and relevance.
Wanna know if it’s a sniper’s nest? Dust it for prints. If you~don’t~ find any, it’s for a sniper. If you do, you can find out whose prints you have.
Ah! The fingerprints that did not bark in the night!
It was probably built for a photographer to get photos from. Seriously, a sniper isn’t going to just build a tree stand. Maybe local kids did.
And a sniper isn’t just going to use a clapped out Bubba the Gunsmith special with a cheap scope… and yet Charlie Kirk was killed with just such a rifle. The Secret Service has to worry about the dangerous amateurs as well as the professionals.
Pure BS spewed about the Kirk assassination weapon. It has NOTHING to do with the old German Mauser. Nothing! It is a modern, polymer framed, available in multiple MODERN calibers, bolt action hunting rifle. That’s why the killer’s was in 30-06. Add a decent optic and a 200 yard shot isn’t hard. Plus note that he missed. No way he was aiming for the throat. No sniper does that. Either the head if you’re good; or center of mass if you’re not. And a bullet “proof” (resistant is far more accurate) vest wouldn’t protect you from a 30-06 round at that range. Unless he was wearing a vest with added ballistic plates (like our combat soldiers wear), not likely given the pics of him. There is no evidence of that type of vest. The rifle:

Hey, they called it a hunting stand.
Not a snipers nest.
I thought the story was odd.
Maybe, it is just a hunting stand.
Or a kids treehouse.
