After Attack on Troops, Israel Hits Hamas Terror Targets in Gaza
BBC: Hamas carried out “multiple attacks against Israeli forces beyond the yellow line.”
Israel struck terrorist targets in southern Gaza after Hamas terrorists attacked its troops located inside the agreed ceasefire line, violating the U.S.-brokered agreement. “The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out airstrikes in the Rafah area on Sunday morning in response to violations of the ceasefire by Hamas,” the Israeli TV channel i24NEWS reported.
In response to Hamas’s action, the Israeli military targeted terror tunnels used in the sneak attacks. “Earlier, an IED or anti-tank explosion struck near an IDF engineering vehicle in the same area,” the broadcaster added. “Reports from Gaza indicate the strikes targeted Hamas positions shortly after the terror group fired an anti-tank missile at IDF forces.”
Media reports suggest that Hamas attacked Israeli military positions in several locations. “A military official said Hamas had carried out “multiple attacks against Israeli forces beyond the yellow line,” which they say is the area Israeli troops have withdrawn to in accordance with phase one of the US-brokered deal,” BBC reported.
Ceasefire? Not so fast…
This morning there were reports that Hamas committed a very serious violation of the ceasefire agreement, involving Hamas opening fire at an IDF vehicle. Yesterday the US also warned Hamas over their violations through massacring Palestinian civilians… pic.twitter.com/M4h0jqJUzu

The IDF described Hamas’s attack on its troops as “a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement” and vowed to “respond firmly.”
On Sunday morning, “terrorists fired an anti-tank missile and gunfire toward IDF troops operating to dismantle terrorist infrastructure in the Rafah area, in southern Gaza, in accordance with the ceasefire agreement,” the military said in a statement.
“In response, the IDF has begun striking in the area to eliminate the threat and dismantle tunnel shafts and military structures used for terrorist activity,” the military disclosed.
Israel’s Ynetnews reported Jerusalem’s response to Hamas’s ceasefire violation:
Exchanges of fire broke out Sunday morning in southern Gaza after Palestinians reported gunfire directed at an IDF engineering vehicle near Rafah, just over a week after a ceasefire took effect and the IDF withdrew from about half of the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the IDF said that earlier Sunday, terrorists fired an anti-tank missile and gunfire toward troops operating in the Rafah area of southern Gaza to dismantle terrorist infrastructure, in accordance with the ceasefire agreement.
The army said it launched strikes in the area “to eliminate the threat and dismantle tunnel shafts and military structures used for terrorist activity.” The IDF added that “these terrorist actions constitute a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement, and the IDF will respond firmly.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Israel Katz and the military secretary left the weekly Cabinet meeting for an urgent security assessment. During the session, the government also approved renaming the ongoing campaign to War of Revival. (…)
Following the morning incident, Netanyahu convened an urgent situation assessment with senior defense officials, focusing on whether to resume limited airstrikes against Hamas targets and reduce humanitarian aid entering Gaza.

Later in the day, the IDF revealed the names of two soldiers who were killed in the Hamas attack. “Hours after announcing an attack on soldiers in southern Gaza that led to intense airstrikes in the Strip, the IDF says that two soldiers were killed and three were wounded in the attack by Palestinian terror operatives in Rafah this morning,” The Times of Israel reported. “The slain soldiers are named as Maj. Yaniv Kula, 26, and Staff Sgt. Itay Yavetz, 21.”

The Hamas terror attacks came hours after the U.S. State Department warned of an imminent Hamas attack in Gaza. On Saturday, the State Department cited “credible reports” that the terrorist group was planning to violate the ceasefire by carrying out further attacks on civilians in Gaza.
The “planned attack against Palestinian civilians would constitute a direct and grave violation of the ceasefire agreement and undermine the significant progress achieved through mediation efforts,” the State Department said in a statement.
“Should Hamas proceed with this attack, measures will be taken to protect the people of Gaza and preserve the integrity of the ceasefire,” the department warned.
Israel informed the Trump administration ahead of the retaliatory action against Hamas. According to Axios “Israel notified the Trump administration in advance of the strikes through the U.S. command center that oversees the ceasefire.”
“Trump’s envoy’s Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner held a call with Israeli minister Ron Dermer and other officials to coordinate and discuss next steps,” the news website reported, quoting a U.S. official. “The U.S. official said the U.S urged Israel to “respond proportionately but show restraint”.”
The United States has informed the guarantor nations of the Gaza peace agreement of credible reports indicating an imminent ceasefire violation by Hamas against the people of Gaza.
This planned attack against Palestinian civilians would constitute a direct and grave violation…

There’s no structure to proffer a surrender. Somebody always carries on no matter what anybody agrees to.
Similar to the problem with Islamic terror strikes against the West. There’s nobody in charge to give up. It just continues. The structural problem is that the only strategic end is immediately wiping out all of Islam without waiting for escalation.
Hamas has a command structure. But the Hamassholes can’t be reasoned with. Any sane prrson knows this. Finish them, or we’ll just be doing it again in a few years.
Given that their published mission, vision and values includes the eradication of the nation of Israel, it will take external pressure and internal grassroots efforts (by those lucky enough to avoid the street executions) to rid the world of the stain of Hamas. They have probably expedited their destruction, though, by violating the cease fire.
Tribal societies ALWAYS have this issue; it’s why we never could sign treaties with Native Americans here that lasted.
And why the English couldn’t sign treaties with the various Irish kings to stop Irish pirates from raiding England. The kings would agree, but what the English didn’t realize was that the kings had no power to enforce their commands. People obeyed their king out of respect — except when they didn’t. And the pirates weren’t taking orders from any king. So in the end England had no choice but to invade and take control.
Remember that St Patrick was originally an English boy who was kidnapped and enslaved by Irish pirates.
Gazans celebrated 911, and Oct 7. Both Islamic attacks on the west. Are we getting the idea yet?
terrorest gonna commit terror
in other breaking news water is
wet …
Aerial attacks are not going to cut the mustard, so to speak. Israel must resume ground attacks. I respect President Trump’s efforts to impose a cease-fire, but I wonder, did he really expect Hamas to honor its commitments?
I doubt it; Hamasholes are going to be Hamasholes. They only understand one word: extermination, and it will be them or the Israelis.
And, if Israel, then they will come for us. PRESIDENT Trump knows this, and maybe it will sink in to our domestic Hamasholes.
I doubt it though; the media/politician propaganda is unrelenting.
Exactly. I’m glad tjey got the last surviving hostages out however, what will the cost be in additional lives of Israeli soldiers when they have to go and finally wipe out the dingleberries?
Well the “ceasefire now” “protestors (cough paid professionals),” will rejoice for sure, now they can go back to having purpose and meaning in their lives by screaming about genocide, starvation and those subhuman zionists, ho are surely to blame for this egregious breach. A little flicker of hope for them that their favorite murderers are back killing the Jews again. Yup Hamas, always either killing jews or palestinians, but they are always killing someone. Now Mamdani can issue a quick statement about how Israel is to blame and all those new york voters can feel so self satisfied that they “aren’t funding genocide” by voting for him. Never mind the billions of US dollars wasted on the palestinians; that money was surely well spent, after all look at how great their lives are going.
They are like dogs chasing a car; once they get it, they don’t know what to do. They lose their purpose….and likely their sole means of financial support from Soros organizations.
Well how long did that take? I forget what my prediction was but it was a bit longer than what just occurred. I think I wrote something like 2 weeks when I actually wanted to write 48 hours, but this predicable violation should have come as no surprise,
This was why I didn’t read the agreement. It was dead on delivery,
At least they got the live hostages back,
Old Testament cure is the solution to the muslem problem in Gaza. If there are no muslems in Gaza then the terror attacks will not happen.
Didn’t take long for Hamas and the Arab terrorists to violate the peace agreement proving Trump and Netanyahu are truly the fools they were in thinking they could negotiate with Hamas and their Arab terrorist supporters. Netanyahu should now do what should have been done from the very beginning and take the steps and measures necessary to eliminate the threat against Israel and Israeli citizens permanently. But at least this time around the IDF doesn’t have to worry about any hostages. Of course, that now means retaking all the land that they foolishly abandoned and retreated from during the ill advised “peace agreement” but that’s just a price they will have to pay for Trump’s stupidity and Netanyahu’s foolishness.it won’t be fun. It won’t be bloodless. But there you go and here we are.
Hoping Trump and Netanyahu have learned their lessons. That you cannot negotiate with terrorists. Not now nor in the future. But I doubt it.
Netanyahu had little choice. He has to please his patron and he got the hostages back to shut up that side of the Israeli street, Trump on the other hand just wants to make deals one way or another, Hopefully he was not surprised by this and doesn’t overact by involving US troops and planes. I don’t think that we are at that point yet or even close to it,
Guess the truth hurts at least two people’s fee fees. And the truth is that Trump was a stupid fool to think he could negotiate any kind of peace with the Arab terrorists. And Netanyahu was just an even bigger fool for going along with Trump’s plan. A peace agreement (ceasefire?) that was doomed to failure from the very start. Yeah, Netanyahu got hostages back (Did he get them all back? Who knows. There was never a full accounting of the dead hostages.) and Trump’s ego was stroked and he even got a gaudy piece of costume jewelry out of it from Egypt (will he have to give it back now that his peace plan is beginning to fall apart?) but in the end what did it all accomplish. Apparently nothing as Hamas is right back to their usual shenanigans in their jihad against Israel and the Jews. Hopefully, this time around Netanyahu and Trump have learned their lessons. That you cannot negotiate with terrorists. But I doubt it. Highly doubt it as now comes the scramble to try and salvage whatever might be salvageable from the situation.
The jihad against Israel and the Jews will continue as planned. Nothing will disrupt the jihad.
“Trump was a stupid fool to think he could negotiate any kind of peace with the Arab terrorists.”
I like to think Trump was arranging a public “reset to zero” of the Gaza situation, to justify what we all know must occur.
“We stopped the fighting. We came to an agreement everybody signed onto. We returned all the prisoners. And once again, those Hamas ass*les attacked without provocation — which anybody except you idiot leftists could have predicted. We gave them the best chance ever. It was their last one.
Now, you Muslim warmongers… you European dandies… you UN Lords of Chaos… you will kindly STFU from this point forward while we do what is necessary to do here.”
That’s my hope, anyway.
Nothing will disrupt the Jihad
Oh, come now. Nobody thought the ceasefire would hold. Bringing Hamas to agree with a ceasefire that everyone knew they would violate restates (for those who refuse to hear, unfortunately) the political points that Israel is not conducting genocide against the Gazans and that Hamas is, in fact, the problem. The ceasefire was useful for that and for the return of the living hostages. Although Hamas was able to rest and refit, so was the IDF. Hamas should not be given another chance. Hamas must be defeated militarily and the Gazans moved elsewhere such that they no longer have a border with Israel.
Longest Middle East peace ever.
Nobel committee dodged a bullet.
Make note to self. Next time nuke Nobel committee.
So will Trump have to give that gaudy piece of costume jewelry back to Egypt now that his peace agreement has failed? Inquiring minds want to know.
Why? He made the effort, he got a peace deal and a ceasefire. There was never any guarantee the ceasefire would hold. Who didn’t know that Hamas would violate it? Do you think that Trump and Netanyahu didn’t know that when literally everyone reading these words did? You think the Egyptians don’t know the ways of terrorists?
I met my wife in college in the 70s and I helped her on a Thesis Paper she wrote on Islam in her Religious Class. She did a very good study on the Quran and Reliance of the Traveler, which are the books that Islam bases how they operate. Islam is a Theocracy, which is a Religion combined with Government and their goal is to take over all other governments.
Hamas is the terrorist/military wing of the Gaza Arabs. I knew this was going to happen as soon as they could get weapons and attack. Hamas will hide in tunnels and stay out of the fight as much as possible, Hamas will use the Gaza Arabs as human shields and play to the media. Until the whole Hamas and Gaza Arabs are eliminated there will be no peace.
My usual shorthand to explain this is, “Islam is a totalitarian political system masquerading as a religion.”
Hamas needs hostages to use as pawns in their game. They attacks are attempts to capture Israeli soldiers.
That’s an interesting point. Israel is now no longer constrained by having to take care to not harm living hostages. Or are some of the “dead” hostages not returned by Hamas actually still alive? If so, in order for them to work as shields, the Israeli government would have know that there are still living hostages.
There is mention that the violators are Hamas under the control of Iran, looking to blow up the ceasefire, but Israel will act proportionally.
Among other things:
“As a result of Israeli air strikes in Gaza, 11 people were killed and others were wounded, Hamas’s armed wing, the Izzadin al-Qassam Brigades, later claimed.
The Emirati news outlet Erem News reported that among those was Yahya al-Mabhouh, a field commander in the Qassam Brigades.”
https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/defense-news/article-870957
The far reach of Israel remains, to be used as needed, and naysayers of this grand attempt to bring positive change may prove be the fools in the end.
Two more fine soldiers sacrificed at the alter of this ceasefire agreement and what are the rewards?
Israel has to continue to honor the agreement, and they have to continue to feed Hamas and Gaza.
How very nice.
Who says?
Is anyone surprised?
The only way to get Hamas to commit to peace will be to kill every member of Hamas, and to do so in a way that it discourages all the other likeminded “Palestinians” from reforming Hamas or some other terrorist group.
Believing that the peace agreement announced a few days ago would be the end of the terrorism is foolishly naive.
The Arab Hamas terrorist thugs follow the dictates of Islamic “holy war” terrorism, not any supposed “agreement” or “treaty” with any party.
I assume that Israel is making plans to continue the fight to eradicate Hamas, because until it does, there will always be an ongoing threat from Gaza.
Now that all the hostages are back, its time to flood the whole tunnel network. There is no legitimate civilian use for those tunnels and (according to the above) they were used to attack the IDF.
Flush all the fighters out, then decide what to do with them.
There’s only one solution for getting this worldwide problem under control. Eliminate Islam in it’s entirety. This has absolutely nothing to do with race. White Muslims are just as big of a problem as yellow ones, brown ones and black ones are. If any man truly believes in a God, then that same man will do anything that he believes that God wants him to do.
