Two Employees at Ball State U. Under Investigation for Charlie Kirk Assassination Posts

“Charlie Kirk’s death is a reflection of the violence, fear, and hatred he sowed.”

It’s just amazing that this is still happening so many days later. What is it going to take for it to stop?

The College Fix reports:

‘Karma paid a visit’: Two Ball State U. employees under investigation for Charlie Kirk assassination posts

Two Ball State University employees are under investigation for their online social media posts regarding the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

“The administration at Ball State is aware of social media posts by two university employees. Both posts were on the employees’ personal accounts, and the posts do not reflect the culture of our campus nor the enduring values of the university,” the university said in a statement on the controversy.

“The administration is gathering additional information about the posts in order to determine what discipline, if any, is appropriate and permissible under the First Amendment to the Constitution,” according to the statement, posted on X Sept. 12.

According to the Muncie Star Press, the two employees under investigation are Suzanne Swierc, Ball State’s director of health promotion and advocacy, and Felicia Gray, assistant lecturer of elementary education.

The two did not immediately respond to The College Fix’s request for comment Monday.

Screenshots of Swierc’s post show it stated:

Let me be clear: if you think Charlie Kirk was a wonderful person, we can’t be friends.

His death is a tragedy, and I can and do feel for his wife and children.

I believe in the Resurrection, and while it’s difficult, I can and do pray for his soul.

Charlie Kirk’s death is a reflection of the violence, fear, and hatred he sowed. It does not excuse his death, AND it’s a sad truth.

The shooting is a tragedy, and I can and do feel for a college campus experiencing an active shooter situation.

The deaths of Melissa and Mark Hortman, the children shot and killed in Minneapolis last month, and the children shot in Colorado today are all tragedies that also deserve your attention.

Charlie Kirk excused the deaths of children in the name of the second amendment.

Swierc can choose to be friends with whomever she wants to be friends, but in her position as director of health promotion and advocacy she needs to be neutral. If she cannot do that, she should no longer be in her position. The rest of the post indicates she didn’t like Charlie Kirk, but she doed not advocate violence, so I would give her a pass on it.

Felicia Gray, assistant lecturer of elementary education.

so she works with the public schools with the younger children to indoctrinate them

this is why its important to know the names of the criminals

b/c they will move and continue their agenda

“Charlie Kirk’s death is a reflection of the violence, fear, and hatred he sowed.”

Except he didn’t. He was murdered because of exactly these kinds of lies about him. And they’re still lying.

IMO they have a right to lie. What they shouldn’t have is the right to do is to incite violence, such as by smearing someone by calling him/her a Nazi, a fascist or a Hitler or any of his henchmen.

Charlie Kirk sowed fear in the hearts of those committing the evils he spoke out against — fear of divine retribution. Conscience,
They couldn’t silence the still, small voice, so they silenced Charlie.

I’m not sure what to make of Swierc’s post. Her thinking seems to be so confused and muddled I’m surprised she is involved in University administration

People looking to br outraged can see plenty of outrage fodder here.

Kirk did explicitly say that some deaths were the price of the Second Amendment.

The author of post got that right.

She also said that his death is a tragedy. And she opined that his remarks were hateful, although she didn’t quote any directly and provide proof.

She didn’t celebrate his death, call for more conservatives to die, and mentioned the murderd of other public figures as also being worthy of being remembered.

Additionally she posted on a personal account.

And she’s a state employee. The situation is different from a private employer. Conservatives constantly say that private employers are often able to discharge employees for behavior the employer believes hurt the business. This private employer argument suggests that government employees might have protections that private employees lack, right?

AWFLs gotta AWFL. It’s how they roll.
