Turning Point Elects Erika Kirk as CEO, Chair of the Board

According to executives, this is what Charlie wanted.

Turning Point USA’s board has unanimously elected Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s widow, as the new CEO and Chair of the Board.

Charlie said he wanted Erika to take over if he passed away.

Erika vowed not to let Charlie’s movement die.

“You have no idea what you’ve just unleashed across this entire country, and this world,” Erika said two days after her husband’s assassination. “You have no idea the fire you’ve ignited within this wife. The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.”

Hell hath no fury, indeed.

I wish this poor woman and her two children peace but not before she absolutely obliterates anyone that directly or indirectly had a hand in her husband’s assassination.

And apparently there are a lot of people with blood on their hands.

Charlie is irreplaceable. AM talk radio audience demographic is mostly older males over 50. Younger people in high school and college dont listen because it sounds like parent figure scolding them. Charlie was more relatable to younger audience. There really is no other figure out there to replace him. TurningPoint can go into rotation with different speakers, but it won’t be same until some new person emerges.

Chair and CEO of the board doesn’t necessarily mean she’s the host or even going on tour. She probably will in the beginning at least part of the time, but she will have a big role behind the scenes for the most part.

Someone will emerge. Charlie was and is one of a kind, but we have plenty of good charismatic people and many are bold enough to do what he did.

I think this is the correct take, unfortunately. My kids tell me (all of whom attended TPUSA campus events where Kirk was the featured speaker), one of the unique qualities of Kirk (beyond being a gifted speaker who knew the material), is that as a straight, white, conservative man who was unapologetic about being a straight, white, conservative man he was something of a novelty to that demo. He offered a voice to people like him that see/hear so few voices of this nature on campus. Honestly, I’m not sure a mother of two is going to have the same appeal….to men. I suspect they understand that . But, we’ll see.

Charlie Kirk was in discussion with Bill Ackman about expanding to more people visiting college campuses, and his final meeting with Bill involved him trying out potential new speakers, teaching them not to use emotions and allowing Bill Ackman to see that further investments would be worth more than previous ones because he would now be investing in more than just Charlie Kirk.

It seems to have gone well because you could see that Bill and Charlie intended to meet again (see the text messages released in reaction to Candace Owens).

Just as it would have been had it been Charlie Kirk you will find Kirk with a team of other debaters going to college campuses.

Hire and train a competent group of young men and women who debate in the style Charlie did, with the purpose to educate and change minds rather than to just score points. Put 50 of them out there, and have them speak on campuses. From that group, we’d expect great work, and a few them to become future media stars and spokesmen.

Charlie is a one-of-kind human. No one will replace him. With effort, we can provide a forum and means for other talented individuals to emerge. In the process, we can provide a message to today’s students about other ways of looking at things.

Colleges today have ceased to provide the classic liberal arts education. Well, here is a way to bring them that experience.

I agree the point I was making is that is more or less exactly what Charlie was doing and his last pitch meeting was when he successfully pitched that to Bill Ackman

No doubt there will be some white males in that team.

Ackman didn’t reveal how many people Charlie brought so it could be larger than you think.

But I thought the right didn’t allow women to be powerful. Another leftist trope that should be squashed.

Chairman.

Mark Steyn guest hosting was better than Rush for several years.

Let’s agree that despite many degrees of separation… I think that the Left is very happy that Kirk wis gone as he was a major counter to them. Rush’s death was another. Steyn is battling major illnesses… heart attacks and blood transfusion dependency … exactly what to call it I don’t know but multi-organ…. I would attribute all to the vax as he took them to be close to his father.

I worry about my husband and son
My liberal off the top so. Had 3 shots, just wouldn’t listen to me and my husband decided his dr knew best

I love Mark Styne , but he is ill, with 3 heart attacks
His time has pasted because physically he could not do this, he barley makes it through his wonderful podcasts

And at this point, he has grey hair

may her sorrow and anger turn a generation ( or two) of young women into pro maga anti communist fighting machines

women that might not have been thinking like that but who once again see the power and the corruption that the left has brought to them and for them to see at young college age that they too are actually victims of the left

I know Ben Shapiro wants to step in Charlie’s shoes

But no

He’s smart but he’s not nice in his rhetoric
