Listening to Trump’s recent speech at the UN was a rare delight amid the stifling hypocrisy and bureaucracy that mark the activities of this not only useless but rather harmful international body. Trump criticized the green fascism and unsustainable economic policies, the ostrich-like attitude toward hostile anti-Western migration, as well as multiple other problems with the functioning and ideology of the UN. He further noted:
As everyone knows, I have also been deeply engaged in seeking a ceasefire in Gaza; we have to get that done, have to get it done. Unfortunately, Hamas has repeatedly rejected reasonable offers to make peace, and we can’t forget October 7th, can we? Now, as if to encourage continued conflict, some of this body is seeking to unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state. The rewards would be too great for Hamas terrorists for their atrocities.
The recent recognition of a Palestinian state by countries like France, the UK, Canada, and Australia is both absurd and dangerous. It is meaningless from a practical standpoint — do these countries expect to set up embassies in Gaza on top of terrorist tunnels or conduct any sort of meaningful diplomatic relations?
This recognition is the result of falling prey to the pernicious anti-Israel ideology, amalgamated with the woke insanity that plagues the elites of Western societies. It is also indicative of Western governments’ inability to face, expose, and resolve the problems of large-scale Muslim migration. Instead, they prefer to avoid riots and cater to the needs of hostile population groups that are bound to destroy democracy and tradition.
It is also a paradox that countries that were staunch anti-Nazi allies are presently quick to demonize Israel, while other countries in Europe, which were on the wrong side of history in World War II, like Germany, Italy, or some Eastern European states, refrain from recognizing a Palestinian state in today’s circumstances, be it out of historical shame or common sense.
It is well known that statehood was offered to Palestinian representatives several times and was always refused, since an overwhelming majority of those who define themselves as Palestinians are unfortunately controlled and brainwashed by terrorists, and the avowed purpose of their organizations is the elimination of the Jews and their homeland.
This is as evident now as it was over 50 years ago, when Golda Meir addressed this question in her legendary interview with Oriana Fallaci:
O.F.: Mrs. Meir, what if Israel let the Palestinian refugees come back here?
G.M.: Impossible. For twenty years they’ve been fed on hatred for us; they can’t come back among us. Their children weren’t born here, they were born in the camps, and the only thing they know is that they must kill Israelis, destroy Israel. We found arithmetic books in the Gaza schools that put problems like this: “You have five Israelis. You kill three of them. How many Israelis are left to be killed?” When you teach such things to children of seven or eight, there’s no more hope….
I’ve already explained that to the east and west of the Jordan you find the same people. I’ve already explained that once they were called Palestinians and later were called Jordanians. If they now want to call themselves Palestinians or Jordanians, I couldn’t care less. It’s none of my business. But it is my business that they don’t set up another Arab state between Israel and what is now called Jordan. In the stretch of land between the Mediterranean and the borders of Iraq, there’s room for only two countries: one Arab and one Jewish. The important thing is that a third Arab state doesn’t emerge between us and Jordan. We don’t want it. We can’t allow it. Because it would come to be used as a dagger against us.
It is immensely fortunate that Trump dodged the literal and proverbial bullet and that both the Israeli and the American governments are standing firm and taking energetic measures to disarm terrorism and preserve the West. As Trump further explained in his UN speech regarding the recent recognition of a Palestinian state:
This would be a reward for these horrible atrocities, including October 7th, even while they refuse to release the hostages or accept a ceasefire instead of giving to Hamas and giving so much because they’ve taken so much, they have taken so much, this could have been solved so long ago, but instead of giving in to Hamas ransom demands, those who want peace should be united with one message, release the hostages now. Just release the hostages now. Thank you.
