Mere minutes after Charlie Kirk was shot, MSNBC and the left went on tirades against Kirk.
Scott Jennings is correct: “I’m not sure it’s safe to be an outspoken conservative walking around in America right now.”
Anyone shocked?
Shame on Matthew Dowd. It’s Kirk’s fault someone shot him:
MSNBC host: Talk to me about the environment in which a shooting like this happens?DOWD: Yeah, again, I emphasize what you just emphasize. We don’t know any details of this, that we don’t know if this was a supporter shooting their gun off in celebration or so. We have no idea about this. But following up with what was just said, he’s been one of the most divisive, especially divisive younger figures in this who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech or sort of aimed at certain groups.And I always go back to hateful thoughts, lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions. And I think that’s the environment we’re in that people just you can’t stop with these sort of awful thoughts you have, and then saying these awkward words and not expect awful actions to take place. And that’s the unfortunate environment we’re in.
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker blamed President Donald Trump and January 6th because of course:
My sympathy to Charlie Kirk’s family and to Charlie Kirk, who obviously, is, you know, become a target for somebody.I don’t know whether it’s political violence, because I don’t know who did it. I know they seem to have somebody in custody, but I will say that political violence, unfortunately, has been ratcheting up in this country. We saw the shootings, the killings in Minnesota. We’ve seen other political violence occur in other states, and I would just say it’s got to stop.And I think that think there are people who are fomenting it in this country. I think the President’s rhetoric often foments it. We’ve seen the January 6 rioters who clearly, you know, have tripped a new era of political violence.
Tur is scared for DEMOCRATS:
Steve, people are really upset, and they start lashing out online, and they start blaming others for what led up to this. I mean, we see it when Democrats are targeted. We see it when Republicans are targeted, and we’re seeing it with this. Anna Paulina Luna, who is a representative from Florida, has put this out on X she’s blaming the Democrats. She’s blaming the rhetoric the Democrats use it, use calling Republicans fascist. She’s saying you are the hate.If you’re in the FBI field office and you see this sort of stuff bubbling up online, how worried do you get about somebody taking up the cause of Charlie Kirk and lashing out on on somebody who’s seen as a Democrat, or somebody who is a Democrat?
BUT TRUMP:
This is at a time, of course, as you all know, David, especially about the motive from the President of United States to ensure that crime is at an all time low in the presence of reinforcing military officials at times to make sure that’s the case. Will there be an expanded move now in that aspect of it? And if that’s the case, will college campuses, which is traditionally been a bit of a island unto itself in terms of the ability of local law enforcement to come on. Will it be treated differently? The investigation begins simultaneously when the family begins to process what it would be like to explain to these young children that daddy is hurt, and will he be coming home tonight or ever?
Oh, she said more and it’s just as terrible:
Here, if this, in fact, is tied to his ideology, given the fact that he is quite the lightning rod in many communities and has been accessible, and yet controversial, you’ve got a very terrifying prospect for so many people who share his similar qualities in the sense of a public figure who is unabashed about their views, that alienates others. That could possibly be a target for somebody. It is horrific to think about this being a young father, a human being, generally being targeted in this way. But now the law enforcement community has to go into full effect, including prosecutors…Was there a particular verbal trigger that there was coordinated in some way that law enforcement could have been made aware of?Is there a clear and present and prospective danger, or are we dealing with somebody who wants to use this platform, having targeted this person to gain notoriety for a larger ideological end, and that would be under the umbrella of domestic terrorism?
