Report: 274 FBI Agents Sent to Capitol on January 6, Slam Agency’s Political Bias

Just the News dropped a bombshell!

A report revealed that the FBI sent 274 agents to Capitol Hill as plainclothes agents after the January 6th riot started.

Yeah, um, how often did former FBI Director Christopher Wray refuse to answer questions if the agency sent any agents to the Capitol either before or after the riot started?

It sounds like the FBI sent out the entire Washington office!

Plus, the report contained anonymous complaints about how the FBI responded to the riot, accusing the agency of political bias and pointing out how the agency sat back during the BLM riots:

Scores of FBI agents and personnel – many from the bureau’s premier Washington field office (WFO) – sent anonymous complaints to the after-action team detailing how agents were sent into an unsafe scenario without proper safety equipment or the ability to identify themselves readily as armed officers to other police agencies, the report obtained by Just the News shows.

The most persistent complaint was that the bureau during the James Comey and Chris Wray era had become infected with political biases and liberal ideology that treated the protesters from the summer 2020 Black Lives Matter riots far differently than those arrested in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 episode.

The agents, mainly from the Washington Field Office (WFO), sent anonymous complaints:

FBI Director Kash Patel’s team discovered the 50-page report and gave it to the House Judiciary Committee.

Here are some of the damning complaints. This part is long but worth the read:

The actions on January 6, 2021 were absolutely despicable and unacceptable in a civilized society. What is even more unacceptable was the hypocrisy displayed by the FBI and its leadership in their attempt to go after those involved in the Capitol Riots, while we as agents, watched cities burn across America during the summer of 2020. The conspiracy to commit crimes at the Capitol on January 6th, were also committed by bad actors during the summer riots of 2020 leading up to the election on November 3, 2020. Agents stood by on the ground in Washington, D.C. and observed stores being looted, burned, and ripped of anything of value. Even worse, officers were assaulted in the streets in broad daylight with cameras rolling, and yet our response then was nothing like the Capitol Riots response on and after January 6, 2021. I do not recall a single instance where the FBI, specifically FBI WFO, made any attempt to put the resources behind the summer riots of 2020, as they did during the Capitol Riots. I cannot recall a single tip line, BOLO poster, or Twitter post being blasted out by the FBI in an attempt to identify any bad actor during the summer riots in Washington, D.C. I was assigned many leads for people standing on the Capitol lawn, but I have yet to see one looking for a suspect bashing a Secret Service police officer in the head in front of the White House. Here are some of the headlines from national press related to the riots of 2020 in Washington, D.C.:

“Night of destruction across D.C. after protestors clash with police outside White House” (The Washington Post, June 1, 2020)

“Fires light up Washington DC on third night of George Floyd protests” (The Guardian, June 1, 2020)

“Protests Near White House Spiral Out of Control Again” (The New York Times, May 31, 2020)

WUSA (D.C. local news) June 11, 2020. WUSA 9 verified that 155 police officers from Metropolitan Police, U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Park Police, and other agencies in D.C. were injured during the riots that occurred in D.C. between May 29 to June 7

Investigate credible threats of election fraud so Americans don’t get upset in the first place.

(Look, I know you’re not going to take any [of] this feedback seriously. WFO is a hopelessly broken office that’s more concerned about wearing masks and recruiting preferred racial/sexual groups than catching actual bad guys. The front office is compromised of yes-men who’ve never opposed a single thought from the Good Idea Fairy. We had ADIC retire on a Friday at 4:30pm with nothing more than [an] email, and a Deputy Director suddenly retire in the midst of [the] largest manhunt in history of mankind. Yet we’re all supposed to pretend that everything is just fine. Emails from the Director with focus group language aren’t going to cut it anymore. It’s time for someone to admit that WFO has serious problems so that trust can begin to be repaired.)

——————————————————–

For starters how about equal reaction to equal riots – no matter what side of the political spectrum they are on. Actually they weren’t so equal; the summer riots were far worse than on 1/6. During the summer, where was the whole office response of dropping all its cases and spending weeks identifying and arresting Antifa and Black Lives matter terrorists that were looting and burning D.C. and cities across the US? Exactly. There wasn’t such a response. Believe me when I tell you this has NOT gone unnoticed by Agent personnel at WFO. Most do not want to rock the boat for fear of retribution, they want their promotion, or whatever their reason. I, however, am not afraid to respectfully dissent and tell you we do NOT want to work for an enforcement arm of the DNC/Democrat party/Deep state – or any political organization. It has become apparent to me in the past few years this is the case and now in the 2021 FBI, justice is in fact not blind. I hope you can step back and look at the optics of this from a line Agent’s perspective because I know you were all in our shoes before. I can not and will not work for an organization whose ethics and integrity are this maligned. My resignation letter is written, and I’m happy to personally turn in my creds, badge and gun to the ADIC, because this was the last straw for me.

The FBI should make clear to its personnel and the public that, despite its obvious political bias, it ultimately still takes its mission and priorities seriously. It should equally and aggressively investigate criminal activity regardless of the offenders’ perceived race, political affiliations, or motivations; and it should equally and aggressively protect all Americans regardless of perceived race, political affiliation, or motivations.

FBI leadership is not just accountable to its leadership – it is also accountable to its personnel and the American people. It should consider that, realizing it is only effective with a willing and loyal workforce. Given the FBI’s ongoing, politically-biased stance, WFO leadership should begin working with FBIHQ, the FBIAA, and Congress to identify viable exit options for FBI personnel who no longer feel it is legally and morally acceptable to support a federal law enforcement and intelligence agency motivated by political bias.

I wish you all would pay more attention to our safety than what type of masks we wear. If you are going to deploy us to a riot situation, then give us the proper damned safety equipment – helmet, face shield, protective clothing – and training! This is the second time the whole office has been deployed to handle such a situation and nothing, NOTHING, was learned from the preious crisis over the summer. the only differences are new inept leaders who just want to put us out there for a photo OP for the media. It is a miracle no one was seriously hurt or worse. Are you really going to wait until something like Miami happens to one of us at WFO? That’s on your conscience if it does.

What will it take to break through to the indoctrinated that still believe there was an insurrection and all the other hoaxes?

I think you answered your own question. They are indoctrinated and not worth the effort. The trick is to identify those that have heard but aren’t indoctrinated and present them with real evidence like this. That’s why Charlie Kirk went to colleges because the young still have flexible minds if they haven’t been brainwashed too far into the cult.

Never happen, they’re not acting in good faith and they’re not worried about facts. They already know the truth and they don’t care

You can’t break through to a mind that won’t believe. The better idea is to lay out this destructive demonrat plot in easy to see / read for the middle of America, especially the independents.

…and DOJ will do what, specifically, about it?

Crossing my fingers that the guy(s) who built the gallows and was amazingly never caught by the FBI after 1/6 is an FBI agent.

That would just be delicious.

Maybe that was why he, like the pipe bomber, was never and will never be caught

The “gallows” was actually a two-thirds model or replica, not really a gallows. It was usually creatively photographed, using forced perspective to make it seem larger.

Personally, I think that construct was bait, constructed by several FBI officers with agency funds to attract people who wanted their pictures taken with it. After all, those would be the people most likely to cause trouble, and having their photos on file in the Sentinel system for later examination would assist any investigation. I just don’t think they realized how meme-worthy it was going to become, so once the officers returned in their pickup truck and tore it down, the whole thing got classified into a trash can and some employee wound up with a set of shelving in their garage.

Yeah…. but you miss all the sensational value if you point stuff like that out. Nothing changes the mind of a true believer.

It’s just like the NASCAR Noose in the black driver’s garage was actually just a garage door pull.

The FBI report concludes, and photographic evidence confirms, that the garage door pull rope fashioned like a noose had been positioned there since as early as last fall,” NASCAR said in its statement. “This was obviously well before the 43 team’s arrival and garage assignment.

I believe the term is “False Flag”

The FBI needs to be disbanded. I don’t think Kash Patel or anyone else could straighten them out.

As one of the agents complains, the FBI should return to be an investigatory body, and I believe it should have no enforcement capability. Anyone to be arrested on a federal warrant can be dealt with by federal marshals, after the marshals have reviewed the investigative record to determine if the investigation was legit. Otherwise the FBI can assist state and local authorities to investigate major crimes and to process complex crime scenes. That’s it. No arrest authority. It can’t be trusted and needs direct oversight even in an investigatory role.

“the only differences are new inept leaders who just want to put us out there for a photo OP for the media.”

    Hey, remember “Operation Showtime?”

Back then there was a lot of talk about disbanding the Keystone Kops at the BATF and reassigning their mission to the FBI to have it done with some professionalism for a change.

The one thing everybody missed is that it’s impossible to get to the upper floor when both escalators are set to “down.”

Ty Mr. Grizzly, my sentiments exactly. The BU has been sullied beyond redemption.

Wray’s testimony to Congress should be thoroughly examined to determine if he lied. Maybe he can be indicted like Comey.

What’s the new definition of “conspiracy theorist”?

A person intelligent enough to see through the 🐂💩 and draw logical conclusions from available information.

Knowing federal agents participated in J6 is one such conspiracy theory.

Knowing that Joe Biden was never a legitimate president is another.

“FBI sent 274 agents to Capitol Hill”
Just one more chevron for the sleeve of my “I need new conspiracy theories, all mine came true” tee shirt.

If the DOJ did not disclose this to each and every J6 defendant, as these were witnesses, than you have a criminal conspiracy to violate civil rights.

henrybowman in reply to ghost dog. | September 26, 2025 at 4:48 pm

Now all we need is an investigation into how the riot was deliberately triggered by Capitol Police firing tear gas and rubber bullets into a peaceful crowd for f-all reason.

I guess one might ask next, what exactly were these 274 agents doing there?

And, maybe it’s just me, but somehow I suspect the real number of all, shall we say, non-uniformed government actors present that day, is a bit larger than 274. I wonder if they all carpooled there together?

CommoChief in reply to Concise. | September 26, 2025 at 4:17 pm

Yeah that’s supposed to be the # of sworn FBI Agents but how many others were present at the behest of the FBI? How about other agencies? How many ‘contractors’?

That doesn’t change the fact there were some who went too far on J6 and definitely engaged in criminal acts but that was always a miniscule number out of a crowd of that size gathered in DC. Given the circumstances it was ‘mostly peaceful’ and not in the BLM riot manner.

Concise in reply to CommoChief. | September 26, 2025 at 8:46 pm

And of the approximately 2,000 who actually entered the Capitol, how many were government actors of whatever stripe? A significant number I’m sure. Just doing their job of course. The question is, what exactly was the “job”?.

Concise in reply to CommoChief. | September 26, 2025 at 9:14 pm

And of course, let’s not forget to add in the Antifa crowd and other leftist agitators crawling around. Peaceful protest, mostly or otherwise, is not in their vocabulary.

Who set up that Scaffold for hanging.
Who was the Scaffold Commander?

Kash and Dan will be on Fox News to talk a bunch of shit. What a disappointment they have been. I knew Bondi would suck out loud.
