It’s truly astonishing that so many of the people making these comments work in education.

FOX News reports:

Top university administrator calls Charlie Kirk assassination ‘fair’ due to stance on guns: ‘No prayers’

An assistant campus director at George Washington University took to social media shortly after the assassination of Charlie Kirk and said it is “fair” that Kirk was gunned down due to his support of gun ownership and the Second Amendment.

“If nothing else, it is fair, in a nation where children get massacred by gun violence on the regular, the people who advocate for continued gun ownership at the expense of those children are not immune from the consequences of their advocacy,” Anthony Pohorilak, Assistant Director of Academic Initiatives at George Washington University’s Mount Vernon Campus, posted on his personal Facebook after Kirk was killed.

“No thoughts no prayers,” the GWU employee added.

The Facebook post, exclusively obtained by Fox News Digital, received 37 likes and love reactions from Pohorilak’s friend group.

The George Washington University website lists Pohorilak, who uses the pronouns “He/Him” in his bio, as working for the Campus Living & Residential Education department.

“The George Washington University unequivocally condemns all forms of violence,” a university spokesperson told Fox News Digital in a statement.

“As a university with one of the most politically engaged campus communities in the country, we believe everyone is entitled to their beliefs, and no one should ever be subject to violence for expressing their views. This individual employee is not authorized to speak on behalf of GW, and his opinions do not reflect those of the university.”

I have yet to hear anyone afflicted with the “gun control” disability dial 9-1-1 and specify, “Now please be sure to send the kind of cops who are disarmed. If you can’t do that, we’d rather you not send anyone at all to stop the men who are holding my daughter at knifepoint, because in this household we don’t believe that guns ever solve anything.”

This sub-human jackass has every right to say what he said and GW shouldn’t fire him. As a GW law alum, I can tell you that the real problem is that GW goes out of its way to hire such jackasses. That is why I long ago ceased supporting GW.

Maybe. If he said it in his official capacity then he is subject to the code of conduct. I don’t know that he violated it with this (in fact I doubt he did), but he doesn’t have the right to say whatever he wants in that position.

Notice how the marxist left ignore the reality that gun control doesn’t work. It’s time that no gun zones go the way of the dodo bird and make it mandatory that schools be protected by trained, sane armed teachers.

I fear sane let alone trained teachers are in short supply judging from the comments we are seeing on social media. Perhaps Samuel Johnson’s observation, “When a man knows he is to be hanged in a fortnight, it concentrates his mind wonderfully.” is the key to reducing senseless homicide.

“If nothing else, it is fair, in a nation where thousands are victimized by illegal aliens violence on the regular, the people who advocate for continued illegal migration and against deporting illegals at the expense of those crime victims are not immune from the consequences of their advocacy,” – BA GW 1968

I doubt the good dean is prepared to apply the same logic to the advocates of mass migration as he is to gun advocates. Guns don’t kill people any more than automobiles are responsible for 40K road deaths a year. It is the person pulling the trigger or in the drivers seat who is responsible not the tool. As the British are finally realizing their problem is not knives but villainous criminality. Even if we could prevent crime with an endless series of ownership laws and licenses would it be worth it? I doubt you can get a majority of people to sacrifice their freedom for their safety…or at least not for long.

Lawrence Tribe is also spouting off again, as are many of the the Usual Academic Suspects. As a psychiatrist I have been increasingly curious about what makes very intelligent people say and do such incredibly stupid things. Best I can determine, such individuals all have cognitive lacunae that encompass discrete areas of emotional functioning, which effectively disable their higher cortical function in certain situations. Thus since logic and reasoning skills are absent, primitive instinctual drives can run amok, especially the more energetic ones such as fear, aggression, envy, and lust for power or dominance. With reality testing sidelined., truth becomes irrelevant, and gives way to whatever fanciful nonsense they can construct to service these imperatives. This process is usually obvious to others, but they remain oblivious or blatantly hostile to contrary feedback due to a neurological condition known as anosaognosia, which renders them unaware that they are unaware. So they don’t learn from mistakes, and just tend to gravitate towards others similarly afflicted for pseudovalidation. The end results of all this are pathetic and also quite dangerous at times, since eventual awareness that this isn’t turning out well for them can induce considerable rage.
