Sen. Marsha Blackburn Running for Tennessee Governor

“And whether it takes planes, trains, or starships, we’ll deport illegal aliens because respect for the law starts with enforcing it.”

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) launched her campaign for Tennessee governor a year before the Republican primary.

Blackburn aligned herself with President Donald Trump, who won all Tennessee counties except three, and promised to stick with conservative principles.

From the video:

Trump is back. America is blessed, and Tennessee better than ever. I’m Marsha Blackburn here in the Volunteer State, we always lead the way, and that’s why I am announcing my candidacy for governor.

Tennessee is the greatest place in the world to rear a family, make a life and a living and together, we can make our great state even better.

We’ll make Tennessee America’s number one job, creating energy, producing powerhouse, deliver a world class education for our children by empowering parents, not the deep state. And whether it takes planes, trains, or starships, we’ll deport illegal aliens because respect for the law starts with enforcing it.

This is Tennessee.

We’ll honor the Constitution, we’ll value life, and we’ll define our boys and girls the way God made them.

I love Tennessee. I believe in Tennesseans, and I’m ready to deliver the kind of conservative leadership that will ensure our state is America’s conservative leader for this generation and the next.

I’m Marsha Blackburn. I’m running for governor, and I would be honored to have your support.

Rep. John Rose is Blackburn’s only opponent. The Nashville Banner doubts more will jump into the race due to Rose and Blackburn’s “name recognition and spending power.

I wonder who Trump will endorse. He has endorsed Rose and Blackburn in the past.

It’s been a rumor for months that Blackburn would run for governor.

A poll from Tony Fabrizio, Trump’s longtime pollster, found that Blackburn had an 82% approval rate among GOP primary voters.

Interesting. I think Knox County mayor Glenn Jacobs may join and he’d be a superior candidate. Both good choices for TN.

I freaking love it here.

In the end it was a coin toss between Tennessee and Florida for us. At present Florida has the upper hand in economic opportunities, however FL is WAY more expensive, and they are packing a lot of cray cray. I think on its current trajectory, TN will give FL a run for its money in a decade. I wish Mississippi and Alabama would drop their state income taxes, and they’d be in the game too.

Growth to the tricities area in NE TN is starting to slow and that’s not a bad thing. It’s still growing, but not at the break neck pace as I’ve seen in the past 2 years since I’ve been here.

Politically this state is heaven. Blackburn and others are sooooo on our side, it’s unbelievable. Those of you stuck in blue state hell holes really need to get out of that abusive relationship and move.

I once shared the sentiment that leaving is surrender, but it was a Sodom and Gamora situation for us in western WA. God has sent all the demons to terrorize the wicked on the I-5 corridor. A childhood friend who is a pastor now near Everett said “That’s why I need to stay.”

This year alone I’ve heard two more families coming from our former area to NE TN. There’s a good reason for that.

Andy, I’d not have left were it not for the more or less constant allergy attacks that – for me – were getting worse by the year. But, were it not for that issue I’d have remained.

illegals the new gop rally cry replacing abortion

how about the gop start defunding the schools!!
how about the gop stop giving locals money to corporations

we know the dems are communists…its FINALLY been admitted to

Blackburn got a bunch of leftists fired from the TVA and stacked it with TN conservatives.

She’s also been pushing on getting them to break ground on that nuke plant here. When the illegals are gone, my power bill will still be too high. The leftists limited power production so NT TN is getting warnings to shut down during super hot and super cold days to avoid black outs. I know that happens elsewhere too, but she got Trump to do the firings.

Cheap power is one of the keys to America returning to greatness.

agree but the real power is in giving parents their powers back over their own children

or the lefty is correct…”these are our children”

and the tough road is just doing what is correct as I stated..stop being rinos with others money

if its possible to do wrong its also possible to do right

Maybe she wants to go home , but we need her in the senate , slim margin

Save the starships for deporting the California immigrants.

Senator Blackburn was, and is, well spoken. Her questioning of now Justice Jackson will be remembered for a very long time. https://www.politico.com/news/2022/03/22/blackburn-jackson-define-the-word-woman-00019543

as I was saying in my post to andy (above)

Blackburn responded. “I think it tells them that they’re second-class citizens.

parents want to have a Supreme Court justice who is committed to preserving parental autonomy and protecting our nation’s children.”
