Shooter Kills 2 Children, Injures 17 at Minneapolis Catholic School

Shooter Kills 2 Children, Injures 17 at Minneapolis Catholic School

Sources told FOX9 that the suspect is dead.

Minnesota authorities confirmed a shooting at the Annunciation Church and Catholic School in Minneapolis. The shooting occurred while the students celebrated school Mass at 8:15 AM this morning.

The suspect killed two children and injured 17 others:

“During the mass, the gunman approached on the outside, on the side of the building, and began firing a rifle through the church windows towards the children sitting in the pews at the mass. Shooting through the windows, he struck children and worshipers that were inside the building.”

A name of the suspect is floating around. I refuse to put anything coming out about the suspect until I have confirmation.

The shooter was armed with a rifle, shotgun and a pistol. Believed to be in his early 20s, the gunman took his own life in the rear of the church, O’Hara said. Two children, ages 8 and 10, were killed in the pews. Seventeen people were injured, 14 of them children. Two are in critical condition.

“This was a deliberate act of violence against innocent children and other people worshiping. The sheer cruelty and cowardice of firing into a church full of children is absolutely incomprehensible,” Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said.

O’Hara did not identify the shooter. He only said the shooter, a man in his early 20s, took his own life behind the church.

The male “does not have an extensive criminal history.” Authorities do not have his motive.

Personnel have been treating five children:

“Children’s Minnesota is aware of the recent tragic shooting in Minneapolis. Our teams are trained to respond in times of crisis, and are fully prepared to care for impacted children. Currently, five children are admitted to our hospital for care. We will not share more details to respect the privacy of our patients and families.”

Mayor Jacob Frey has received a ton of backlash for rejecting thoughts and prayers.

the garbage that would do this is making a political statement no matter who the pos turns out to be

Other sources said he was dressed all in black and it’s the week of the DNC Convention in Minneapolis where speaker after speaker demonized anyone not all in on abortion and tranny “rights”. Gee, I wonder if someone was making good on the rhetoric about the evil, Nazi right?

      TargaGTS in reply to diver64. | August 27, 2025 at 12:51 pm

Crazed tranny terrorist today, folks. The ‘female-identifying’ (male pretending to be female) shooter apparently posted a lengthy video manifesto to YouTube shortly before the attack began. While that video has already been removed, some in the X community have archived the vid and are sharing screen-caps. It’s been described as ‘blood curdling.’ I’m sure his name as well as the video will leak in the next few hours, or sooner.

Sources told FOX9 that the suspect is dead.

Other sources said there are 20 victims.

Any info on how many of those are wounded but alive?

Given the number of trans confused mental health suffering leftists we have had in recently history there’s a good chance this is yet another Democrat incited shooting.

Shooter killed himself. So, it’s unlikely – very unlikely – it’s some kind of Jihadist. Shooter was reportedly dressed in ‘all-black,’ which probably means ‘workplace violence’ is scratched off the list; people who go postal tend not to get into costume, although that NFL shooter last month did seem to cosplay to some degree. The shooter was also described as a ‘man,’ which makes ‘student’ seem far less likely considering it’s a K-8 school. That leaves disaffected youth/young man, maybe a former student or maybe someone who saw it as a target of low resistance. But, the chances that the assailant was someone who was previously known to be psychologically impaired/troubled by family, friends, colleagues or even school administrators/teachers very, very high. Societally, we just don’t know what to do with crazy young men. It’s literally killing us.

Certainly a usual suspect. Part of intersectionality of evil: whether musselman or trans-insane or blm/antifer or fascist or commie or satanic or an old-fashioned less ideological insane dude, local authorities will still say: ‘ we are baffled as to motive’

destroycommunism | August 27, 2025 at 11:28 am

any dem “sympathy” should be treated with the well founded knowledge of

taqiyya,

Existing federal law allows federal authorities to assert jurisdictional/investigative control over shootings at schools and/or churches even though that is seldom exercised. Bondi should do that in this instance because absent that happening, we’re never going to learn the ‘why’ here, particularly if it’s not helpful to Democrats. Look at the laughable transparency from the Covenant School shooting.

irishgladiator63 | August 27, 2025 at 12:08 pm

They shot up a church. During a school mass. The school is ancillary to the church, not the other way around.

Yes, excellent point and it amplifies something I said just above. The Feds DO have a history of taking over the investigation of any acts of violence against churches. This was an attack literally against congregants of a church sitting in their pews during mass. It screams for federal participation.

School shootings are ratings winners, which is why we have school shootings. Nobody can resist covering it (Clay and Buck lead off with it and are still talking about it at 12:15). First noticed with Columbine.

The deranged wanting to do something “important” copy the news event, and the coverage copies all the previous news events, and here we are.

What does the news claim to know that you don’t know? It claims to know what is important.

joejoejoe in reply to rhhardin. | August 27, 2025 at 12:19 pm

Clearly not just a deranged ideological school shooting but a targeted attack on Christians and by extension an attack on belief in the Almighty.

rhhardin in reply to joejoejoe. | August 27, 2025 at 12:24 pm

Nevertheless the solution is stop covering it.

But it’s a ratings winner, and it’s a ratings winner because it’s entertainment.

The dopamine hit from being outraged, is why it’s entertainment.

Go along with it or not, as a matter of policy, but that’s what it is.

destroycommunism in reply to rhhardin. | August 27, 2025 at 12:39 pm

your call for self censorship should start with you leading the way

My point would be that it’s not important. It feeds into the clickbait industry, is all.

Clay and Buck are still covering it (12:45).

Be less of a sucker for news.

Google says that 3 children 14 and under die every day in traffic accidents. Surely that’s just as important, since the death toll is 2 at the moment, fewer than 3. And that would be coverage every day, taking up at least the first hour of Buck and Clay, which is where I’m enduring it now.

Everybody would tune out. On outrage, no entertainment.

I caught the end of Clay and Buck and they were still on it after three hours, and promising “more on this tomorrow.”

You don’t get ratings winners better than that.

henrybowman in reply to rhhardin. | August 27, 2025 at 1:48 pm

David Codrea rightly points out that one negative side effect of the “give them no coverage” strategy is that the history censors (the people who wipe out killers’ digital footprints) always win the race, and then EVERY incident becomes another suppressed Covenant.

      diver64 in reply to joejoejoe. | August 27, 2025 at 12:41 pm

I can’t remember when someone entered a mosque in the US and started a gunfight but there are numerous examples of churches and synagogues. Minneapolis has a very strong Muslim population as well as crazed leftist population. Might be a link in there somewhere but I’m not Sherlock Holmes

        henrybowman in reply to diver64. | August 27, 2025 at 1:44 pm

Maybe because Muslims aren’t stupid enough to make their mosques gun-free zones. I understand a fair number of them are actually armories.

rhhardin in reply to henrybowman. | August 27, 2025 at 4:14 pm

Clay and Buck wanted to talk about the value of concealed carry in school shootings but couldn’t quite see how it would apply here. They spent a half hour wanting to talk about it though.

Everybody’s got a hobby horse hook into this ratings winner to hook on to.

    diver64 in reply to rhhardin. | August 27, 2025 at 12:49 pm

You think that every news source should not cover mass shootings which is, you know, news? Even for you that is a stupid take.

      rhhardin in reply to diver64. | August 27, 2025 at 12:52 pm

News is a business. It organizes anxiety. Then it runs features to tell you how to live with the anxiety it generates, in the absence of a new anxiety for the day.

Then there is life. Life is completely different.

You can be a sucker for this (they sell your eyeballs to advertisers) or not.

      GWB in reply to diver64. | August 27, 2025 at 1:29 pm

It’s not entirely stupid, just oriented on the wrong end of the equation.
The only way to achieve the “infamy doesn’t equal fame” state is to change the hearts of the people who take in the news. They have to say, “Thank you for informing us. Now lay off until there’s something new that’s newsworthy.”

When you attack the reporting of the news, it can only result in a propaganda machine that just reports kittens saved from trees and the quilting bee at the local VFW.

For the news end, it might help to not hire drama queens. But I don’t know how you do that, honestly.

henrybowman in reply to GWB. | August 27, 2025 at 4:01 pm

Usual formula is that you report the event, because it’s news, but you don’t report the name of the perpetrator, in order to deny him the notoriety he craves. It’s an attractive premise but comes with a few negatives. One is that it lets the cleanup squad erase his digital footprint and feed the public whatever narrative they choose. The other is that in more than half these cases, the perp kills himself or is killed by police, so any punishment doled out by the denial of notoriety is wasted.

rhhardin in reply to henrybowman. | August 27, 2025 at 4:10 pm

It’s not the notoriety they want, it’s the “importance,” importance being decided by being in the news.

Child traffic deaths are more important by death count, but have no news attraction unless it’s in a school bus. Then it’s in the news again.

          Entertainment value.

There were witnesses who also said that the shooting went on for a ‘surprising’ amount of time before police arrived.

Twice as many Americans are killed by someone using their bare hands than are killed by someone using a rifle. Five or six times as many are killed by someone using a knife. Then there are cars, base ball bats, golf clubs, and arsonists.

What evil. The cowardice of shooting children. Innocent and unaware of danger, cannot be overstated. The shooter was scum.

Let’s do what the left does.

So, pick your favorite group and blame it on them. The left is already saying it was a deranged white conservative.

Temu Obama already blathered about “weapons of war” without knowing nothing about what firearms were used.

    henrybowman in reply to AF_Chief_Master_Sgt. | August 27, 2025 at 1:53 pm

Well, we kind of already are. If I believe the comments here, the shooter was a trans (fake) female with long red hair and a long black (Muslim?) beard.
I think I’ll exercise the 48-hour rule before making any important conclusions.

Before anyone gets too far out over their skis I suggest invoking the Bongino Rule.

““I’m horrified by the shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis and closely monitoring the situation,” Schumer wrote on X . “I’m thankful for the first responders on the scene. Students and teachers should not be putting their lives on the line just by going back to school. We must do more to stop gun violence in America.””

If I remember correctly DJT sent the National Guard to D.C. and they have gone almost two weeks without a murder. A move that angered Schumer.

Sorry, I should have made that more clear. I talk about it in a different post. The shooter’s name is Robin Westman. He posted a video on his YouTube account (‘R Westman’, I believe) which was discovered after his name leaked. The entire channel has since been deleted by YouTube. Fortunately, that video (there may have been two, but I’ve only seen one) was archived by many including by producers from The Blaze as well as other right-of-center news outlets and bloggers. The photos you’re seeing in some of these posts are actually screen grabs from those two videos. The one I’ve seen is absolutely ghoulish.

The male “does not have an extensive criminal history.”

Evidently, he was a tr@nny, which is a far worse “history”.

All of the mass shooters over the past couple of years have been tr@nnies. It’s almost a surety, these days. And they have a particular thing about going after young children, which is the sickest of all.

Any official who suppresses this information has to be considered an accessory after the fact. It’s time that society confronts this dangerous lunacy.

The horror of this tragedy is beyond description. My wife and I both attended Catholic schools and met at a Catholic college. My kids all went to Catholic schools and we’ve attended dozens of Masses for the new school year. So, I’ve been seated in a pew just like those kids were this morning, both as a child and a parent. This story hits me particularly hard.

No way to tell if the shooter had any previous run ins with law enforcement due to the fact that the crime numbers in blue states and cities are usually tweaked or underreported.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair | August 27, 2025 at 2:10 pm

Fox finally got the name change document and acknowledged that it was a trans … and then didn’t say another word about it, as if it was just ancillary coincidental information …

It’s been absolutely fascinating to watch every cable news program, including Fox News, continue to refer to the assailant as a ‘him’ even though he clearly identified as a ‘woman,’ going so far as to change his legal name in 2020 from Robert to Robin.
