Hunter Biden Won’t Apologize for Claims Linking Melania Trump to Epstein
Oh, Hunter. Mrs. Trump doesn’t back down. Better be careful. Daddy isn’t in charge anymore.
First Lady Melania Trump threatened to sue Hunter Biden for defamation after he claimed she met President Donald Trump through Jeffrey Epstein in an interview in early August during an interview with Channel 5’s Andrew Callaghan.
The first lady demanded $1 billion.
Hunter Biden states that Jeffrey Epstein introduced Melania to Trump — a lie so egregious that Melania’s lawyers just successfully secured a retraction from the Daily Beast for reporting such.

Mrs. Trump made the same threat against James Carville and The Daily Beast over the same claims.
Both apologized and retracted the comments.
Hunter Biden? “F*ck that.”
Mrs. Trump and Alejandro Brito, the attorney who serves as her litigation counsel, sent a letter to Hunter on August 6. From Fox News:
Brito demanded that Biden “immediately retract the false, defamatory, disparaging and inflammatory statements made about Mrs. Trump,” which were contained in the “Channel 5” video published to YouTube in early August.
“Failure to comply will leave Mrs. Trump with no choice but to pursue any and all legal rights and remedies available to her to recover the overwhelming financial and reputational harm that you have caused her to suffer,” Brito wrote.
Biden had also claimed in the earlier interview that “Jeffrey Epstein introduced Melania, and that’s how Melania and the first lady and the President met.”
“These false, disparaging, defamatory and inflammatory statements are extremely salacious and have been widely disseminated throughout various digital mediums,” Brito wrote. “Indeed, the video has since been re-published by various media outlets, journalists, and political commentators with millions of social media followers that have disseminated the false and defamatory statements therein to tens of millions of people worldwide.”
Brito added: “Consequently, you have caused Mrs. Trump to suffer overwhelming financial and reputational harm.”
Brito demanded, on behalf of the first lady, that Biden “immediately issue a full and fair retraction of the video and any and all other false, defamatory, disparaging, misleading and inflammatory statements about Mrs. Trump in as conspicuous a manner as they were originally published.”
He also demanded, on behalf of the first lady, that Biden “immediately issue an apology for the false, defamatory, disparaging, misleading and inflammatory statements about Mrs. Trump.”
Hunter based his comments on Trump’s biographer, Michael Wolff. But as The New York Post pointed out, you cannot trust what Wolff says about Trump.
But Hunter also dragged a 2019 New York Times article to back up his claims, which says:
But while Mr. Trump has dismissed the relationship, Mr. Epstein, since the election, has played it up, claiming to people that he was the one who introduced Mr. Trump to his third wife, Melania Trump, though neither of the Trumps has ever mentioned Mr. Epstein playing a role in their meeting. Mrs. Trump has said that her future husband simply asked for her phone number at a party at the Kit Kat Club during Fashion Week in 1998.

Callaghan sat down with Hunter again, allowing him to respond.

Hunter doesn’t stop. The dude doesn’t know when to shut up. He continued:
The fact of the matter is that, you know, I don’t think that these threats of a lawsuit are are add up to anything other than a design distraction, because it’s not about who introduced whom to who. I don’t know how that’s in any way rises to the level of defamation to begin with.
But the fact of the matter is that this is about hundreds, if not over 1000 minors, children who were raped by Jeffrey Epstein. And I don’t believe in guilt by association alone, but the connections have become there that are so glaringly obvious that I think they’re trying to use other things to distract.
I also think they’re bullies, and they think that a billion dollars is going to scare me, which is the fact of the matter is, is that if they’d like to go, I have to this to say to them, if they want to sit down for a deposition and clarify the nature of the relationship between Jeffrey Epstein, if the President and the First Lady want to do that, and all of the known associates around them at the time of whatever time that they met, I’m more than happy to provide them the platform to be able to do it.

Maybe B meant that Hunter got millions of dollars without any real talent or expertise.
It is interesting in that if it goes to court and Mrs. Trump wins, what will the result be? As less-than-exemplary as Hunter Biden is, he is still the scion of a member of the Leftist Nomenklatura. He, of course, can’t pay that kind of judgement on his own. And neither Joe Biden nor his sponsors want to be tied into this. So we can assume that Hunter Biden is going to go fugitive. An interesting public relations position for the Left to be in. Will there be vigilantes looking for him? Will the Left’s sponsors hide him or take other action? This could get entertaining and I wish her well.

If Hunter is really broke, then he’s judgment proof. Of course future income and assets could be attached. He will have to declare bankruptcy. O. J. was able to avoid paying a judgment by homesteading an expensive house in Florida, and his retirement income couldn’t be attached. We will see how this plays out.
In 2016 Melania sued the Daily Mail and Webster Tarpley, a Maryland blogger, for claiming she worked as an escort in the 1990s. The Daily Mail settled for $2.9 million, a retraction and an apology. One would think the Daily Mail would have run the story through their legal staff before publishing. In the UK, the plaintiff has the advantage with respect to the burden of proof unlike the US. Moreover accusing a women of being a harlot is a most serious form of defamation going way back in history. Tarplay was just ignorant of US defamation law. He claimed he only said there were rumors to that effect. Didn’t work as he had to pay an undisclosed amount. Evidently if one repeats gossip, you own it. But I’m no expert on defamation law. Melania has been a constant target because of her husband. Debanking insults etc. She was (and still is) a very beautiful woman. As such a lot of people would believe she was a sex worker by mere accusation absent any evidence. I think she has a good case against Hunter.
After listening to Hunter speak, the ancient adage still holds. “This is what your brain looks like and how you sound when you are on cocaine.”

This is a civil suit not a criminal one so his daddy’s pardon probably isn’t applicable.
Not only would this be a civil suit, so pardons wouldn’t even come into the picture (i..e. the offense is against the plaintiff, not against the USA, so only the plaintiff can pardon it, not the president); but even if this were a criminal case a pardon for past crimes wouldn’t help him. Daddy of course didn’t pardon him for future crimes, because how could he do that?
Despite my usual stance of vote for the Republican in the race I would not have voted if I thought for a second it was possible Trump would cover up sex crimes or engage in them.
I am sorry but if you have any doubts about that you had no business voting Trump. I am proud to say I voted for him each time. The way I know anyone on the right doing this is lying is again if you had any doubts about that basic question of really basic qualification you would not have voted for Trump.
It is far beyond time to end this Epstein nonsense, it really is.
The DOJ team that arrested Epstein and Maxwell was a team of Republicans and Democrats ranging from Trump’s AG who was fully briefed at all points about all evidence it involved to the DAUGHTER OF JAMES COMEY.
The case continued into the Biden Administration.
At no point was there any evidence of any form of conspiracy beyond Epstein and Maxwell. At no point was there any reason to think one existed.
In the second Trump Administration you now have the FBI headed by Patel and Bongino confirming there was nothing there, Epstein and Maxwell abused girls together not a single one of the conspiracy theories was correct.
This conclusion was confirmed by the AG Pam Bondi and PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.
If you are going to claim there is something to Epstein you have to sure as hell have good evidence because you are claiming Trump, Bongino, Patel, and Bondi are all involved.
I do not care if Melania knew Epstein. I am sure I have met plenty of people who aren’t the people I thought, and I am sure you met people who you had no idea about.
Even if true it is not Melania’s job to find criminals or crime it is the job of a police officer.
It is time for this to be finished.
It is Trump for victories or conspiracy theories for nonsense that will boomerang because conspiracy theories have no master. I know who I pick, if you don’t there is something wrong and it has nothing to do with Trump.
How is it defamatory to say that Epstein introduced them? In what way would it damage Mrs Trump’s reputation? Is it merely the alleged fact that she knew him?! Thousands of people knew him. That she was at a party also attended by him and by Mr Trump? Again, he was at hundreds of parties, with thousands of people. So even assuming it to be false, where’s the defamation?
Also, even if it were defamatory, if Wolff told the story in his book, and Epstein also told the story, then I don’t see how she can get past the Sullivan test. He can just say “those were my sources, and I was entitled to believe them”.
Anything that does not confirm a conspiracy theory means it must go farther and so now the conspiracy theories about Epstein include the Trumps.
It will include us in a few hours, it likely includes the professor here at LI due to his being Jewish.
It is time to stop tolerating conspiracy theories.
A conspiracy like Fauci funding illegal gain of function research in a Chinese lab has proof such as items from the budget and Chinese papers from the Wuhan lab thanking Fauci for funding their research (very conclusively a conspiracy).
A conspiracy theory like Epstein has no evidence, ignores all available evidence, argues with available evidence, and compensates by making everything bigger the more it is dispelled.
In this case the conspiracy theory makes everyone in it who isn’t a Democrat either morons or people with zero integrity.
How dare you vote for a man who you think would either commit or cover for pedos.

If a conspiracy theory with no evidence is enough to make you think it is even remotely possible Trump is a sex criminal how dare you support him.
I have completely gone off giving any conspiracy theorist the time of day, and no the Democrats misusing the term does not mean conspiracy theories have been proven.
