Docs Show DHS, FBI had Concerns About Tim Walz’s China Connections
“China is happy.”
Judicial Watch received memos from the Department of Homeland Security through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, showing the department and the FBI had concerns about Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s connections to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
The concerns grew after Vice President Kamala Harris chose him as her VP pick.
DHS and FBI had reason for concern:
- Walz took around 30 trips to China since 1993
- Welcomed CCP officials into his Nebraska classroom
- Reportedly praised China’s communist system
- Claimed China might have the “moral authority” after Israel attacked Iran

The day after Harris announced Walz as her VP, one person wrote, “China is happy.” They linked to a BBC article about how China reacted to the news.
Another wrote: “Wal[z]’s got the Vp. You all have no idea how this feeds into what prc [People’s Republic of China] has been doing here with him and local gov. It’s seriously a line of the intel. Target someone who is perceived they can get to DC.”
One person replied to the comment: “I think this conversation is FOIA-able…”

A top Communist official’s daughter detailed the secret fling she had with Walz while he taught in China.

I had heard last summer that Walz ‘retired’ because he had to…because he was losing his security clearance. I didn’t think much of it at the time. Now, I’m not so sure. It would explain why he was allowed to retire with activation orders pending.
