Fox News reported that the FBI has started an investigation into former FBI Director James Comey and former CIA Director John Brennan due to the Trump-Russia probe.
From Fox News:
CIA Director John Ratcliffe referred evidence of wrongdoing by Brennan to FBI Director Kash Patel for potential prosecution, DOJ sources told Fox News Digital.
The sources said that the referral was received and told Fox News Digital that a criminal investigation into Brennan was opened and is underway. DOJ sources declined to provide further details. It is unclear, at this point, if the investigation spans beyond his alleged false statements to Congress.
As for Comey, DOJ sources told Fox News Digital that an investigation into the former director is underway, but could not share details of what specifically is being probed.
The sources told Fox News that the investigation considers “the duo’s interactions as a ‘conspiracy,’ which could open up a wide range of potential prosecutorial options.”
Ratcliffe recently declassified a review:
The Brennan investigation comes after Ratcliffe last week declassified a “lessons learned” review of the creation of the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA). The 2017 ICA alleged Russia sought to influence the 2016 presidential election to help then-candidate Donald Trump. But the review found that the process of the ICA’s creation was rushed with “procedural anomalies,” and that officials diverted from intelligence standards.
It also determined that the “decision by agency heads to include the Steele Dossier in the ICA ran counter to fundamental tradecraft principles and ultimately undermined the credibility of a key judgment.”
The dossier — an anti-Trump document filled with unverified and wholly inaccurate claims that was commissioned by Fusion GPS and paid for by Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the DNC — has been widely discredited. Last week’s review marks the first time career CIA officials have acknowledged politicization of the process by which the ICA was written, particularly by Obama-era political appointees.
Records declassified as part of that review further revealed that Brennan did, in fact, push for the dossier to be included in the 2017 ICA.
Well, Brennan once told the Senate “that he did not believe the dossier should be included in that intelligence project.”
Yeah, we all know that was a BS statement.

I’m willing to trade this for the Epstein boondoggle… if and only if they include Strzok and his doxy, AND it gets all the way to a fair trial, not just endless investigation.
Being lied to isn’t a bargain you make with politicians. You have low standards for your government and yourself.
Low expectations, more correctly.
Even the Trump Administration has become the equivalent of hitting your monitor when it fritzes: gratifying when it works, but no guarantees.
Her name is Lisa Page, and she much prefers the term paramour. These round heels can be very sensitive.
MAKE PROSECUTIONS GREAT AGAIN
Pam Bondi has been a profound disappointment so far. Prove me wrong Pam, prove me wrong.
The L. Neil Smith sieve is never wrong.
trump was f’d over and no one doubts that
but. the criminal org aka as the dnc is just playing the game of
catch us if you can
60 years later the jfk stuff (some of it) was released
Blondie said that she has the JFK files on her desk next to the Epstein files,…her conclusion,..Oswald acred alone
agree
but she might have thought she had the file …yeah she has to answer for that one
and oswald DID act alone imho
Something tells me the Deep State jig is up. Do you remember the tongue twister: “She sells sea shells down by the sea shore.”
But sometimes Comey doesn’t sell sea shells at all. He honestly isn’t a very savvy sea shell seller, and might be on the verge of getting caught.
bust themmmmm
“The full scope of the criminal investigations into Brennan and Comey is unclear, but two sources described the FBI’s view of the duo’s interactions as a ‘conspiracy,’ which could open up a wide range of potential prosecutorial options.” FoxNews
Conspiracy in itself is not a crime. We all conspire with others to do things all the time. A criminal conspiracy requires agreement on a common goal of committing a crime, and an overt act in furtherance of that agreement. I’m glad they’re looking, and I hope they find something, but I don’t expect it. If they do, and they can get a conviction, I’ll be pleasantly surprised, because both of these characters deserve more than they’ll ever get.
Legally, a Conspiracy exists when two (2) or more persons join together and form an agreement to violate the law and then act on that agreement. An important feature of the Conspiracy statute is that it enables the investigator to get beyond the first layer of visible members to find and prosecute the “brains” behind a criminal scheme or organization.
Specific federal anti-conspiracy statutes are found throughout federal law. Conspiracy statute found at Title 18 USC § 371.
There are five elements for the crime of Conspiracy. Those elements are:
1. You must have 2 or more persons who
2. Intentionally
3. make an agreement
4. to violate federal law or defraud the United states, and then
5. Commit some overt act in furtherance of the agreement.
Based on these elements, we know that the crime of Conspiracy is a specific-intent crime. In other words, the government must prove that two (2) or more persons intentionally entered into an agreement to commit some criminal offense.
I believe you CAN be charged with conspiracy even if you do not actually commit/follow through with the/ a crime
Yes, of course you can. But there must be an agreement to commit a crime, and an overt act in furtherance.
But the charge is criminal conspiracy. Conspiracy itself is normal and completely legal; we all do it all the time.
gotcha
thanks
It seems only right that we witness a good old fashioned hanging. The monsters who have committed treason deserve nothing less.
Demonrat politics have been despicable for far too long!
Just like Epstein —
Nothin’ to see here, folks; move along.
I am so sick of this crap.
Brennan deserves to be strung up by some bodily appendange and left to dangle until even the vultures can’t stand the smell.
Even he can’t stand his own stench. Ever notice how he always looks like he’s crapping his pants?
I’m skeptical that they will find a law that Brennan’s broken, and enough evidence to prove it beyond reasonable doubt. But more power to them for looking. And if they can find the goods on him I’d be delighted to see him in a cell. It’s where he morally belongs, regardless of what laws he may or may not have broken. The harm he’s done to America, all perfectly legally, is difficult to exaggerate.
I read someplace that he was being investigated for perjury, However they do it let him have to lawyer up and spend all his money on saving his hide and “his good name”,
Lying to Congress would be an easy Conviction unless it’s a DC jury
Thank you!
It’s time to revive this old goodie by my friend buzzsawmonkey:
Brennan Loves the Moors.
There are only a handful of crimes that have a statute of limitations that exceed 10-years with most expiring only after 5-years. I wonder what they could be investigating that would be actually indictable….unless they can demonstrate it was a conspiracy that continued well into Trump’s first term, which might be possible I guess.
He lied to Congress in a 2023 closed door hearing. He was not under oath, but lying to Congress is,apparently a crime, but it is not perjury.
Interesting.
“Report: FBI Investigating Brennan, Comey Over Trump-Russia Probe”.

(Laughs hysterically)
The idle chatter about 0bama being a secret Moslem never made any sense. No one with a working brain ever believed it. But Brennan is a different story. I’m not aware of any solid evidence that he is or ever was a secret Moslem, but nor am I aware of anything to contradict it. It would be completely consistent with what we know of him.
If Obama were a secret Muslim during his first two terms and his third pulling Biden’s strings, I would have thought he would have come out now. No, I think Obama doesn’t believe in any higher deity than himself. I do think because of his long association with Islam that he has sympathies for them and likes that they are an autocratic social governance system portrayed as a religion.
That’s exactly it. He’s never been a Moslem, or a Christian, or anything else. He was raised to be a communist, but I don’t think that took either, because it still involves believing in something higher than oneself.
Brennan, Clapper and Comey need to be put through the wringer. Lawfare in reverse. It’s the process that’s the punishment. Bankrupt these jack wagons.
Aaaannnny day now… Someone will be held accountable annnny day now. Yep. Yessirree.
Yawn.
Another ‘investigation’.
Spare me.
Until charges are filed, its just stupid theatre.
Then what would you like? Without looking you’re never going to find anything.
If they put Grassley or Issa in charge of it, you might as well buy long on kabuki makeup.
If you are that tired and bored, then go to bed early tonight.
Typically, a “investigation” is perfect for shielding politicians from actually, factually speaking about a subject .. “sorry, that is under investigation”
Of course what they did was criminal and breaches of their oaths. It started with Obama. Even if they are never convicted, they should get to experience lawfare and the delight of a prosecution. That is the only way to learn the lesson.
And assuming they will never face justice in their lives, posterity will treat them as the corrupt dirty cops they were/are, including the head of their criminal organization, who is quickly becoming seen for his actual role.
But at least he gave us Trump, try as he might to destroy him. So perhaps he deserves some thanks.
Breaking an oath is not criminal. Did they commit any crimes? I don’t know. I know they hate America. I know they harmed America. But those things aren’t crimes. So I hope there’s something they can be convicted of.
My sense is the FBI likely wants to get beyond the first layer (Comey and Brennan) to charge and prosecute the “brains” behind the entire scheme. Therein lies the intrigue. Who is the architect and who approved the entire operation?
Who said it was? It’s as serious, however, when it comes to how they are judged in time. You don’t know how they feel about America. Such nonsense. More likely they love it in a sick way that justifies what they did in their minds. Saving democracy by destroying it. In any event, they should be given the ham sandwich treatment and experience lawfare firsthand. That would be justice and history will be no less kind.
Why do you suppose this public announcement of a FBI probe into Comey and Brennan does not include James Clapper? Could it possibly be that he is not mentioned because he’s cooperating?
There will be much harrumphing and tut-tutting and then… nothing.
Don’t doubt me.
A fable.
Alex Jones dies and goes to heaven. (Told ya it was a fable.)
God welcomes him.
Alex asks God, “Who killed JFK?”
God replies, “Oswald. And he acted alone.”
Alex pauses, then says, “It’s worse than I thought it was.”
That’s nice. Nothing will happen to them as there are 2 sets of laws. One for the elites and one for the peons.
Durham told us.
Legacy media immediately called him a liar.
Now the CIA told us.
And they’re calling them liars.
