State Department Revokes Visas of Bob Vylan Members After Antisemitic Rant at Glastonbury

It looked like Bob Vylan’s talent agency also dropped the rap duo over their disgusting tirade.

Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau announced that the department has revoked the visas of the British band Bob Vylan after they went on an antisemitic rant at Glastonbury.

I wrote about the disgusting comments this morning.

United Talent Agency (UTA) also dropped Bob Vylan. From Deadline:

UTA has moved swiftly to drop Bob Vylan, the punk duo at the heart of a scandal in the UK over their performance at Glastonbury Festival.

Deadline understands that UTA executives made the call over the weekend to part ways with Bobby Vylan and Bobbie Vylan after assessing what was said on stage.

—-

UTA insiders are thought to have shared the sentiments of Glastonbury organizers, who said that Vylan overstepped the mark with his comments on stage. UTA declined to comment, but the band’s page has been scrubbed from the agency’s website.

The agency should have booked them into gaza, damascus, beirut, tehran, all the hot spots and then dropped them.

“Talent” agency? I seriously question their judgment.

These agencies vie for whatever act can make a buck. It doesn’t matter how awful they are; if it has an audience thy want a piece of the action.

THE U.K NEEDS TO SIGN THE ABRAHAM ACCORDS

The UK government was fine with a hundred thousand people cheering and chanting death to many people… but a woman who tweeted and deleted within minutes was sentenced to 31 months in prison.

It’s no longer a free country. Although England was always very class conscious and quick to put people in their place, so they were never the bastion of freedom some people imagined. The Magna Carta, after all, only applied to the nobles.

      We can’t read-ey
      We can’t writey
All we know is the problem be whitey

That is my rebuttal to a local elementary school that proclaims their social justice curriculum.

It’s because nobody argues the positive forces of Judaism. They argue instead who is more oppressed, including the Jews arguing that. That’s the one argument that Jews cannot win.

Why does that happen? It’s because Jews get something about the claim of being oppressed, namely alienation. That prevents assimilation and preserves the religion.

It’s a mistake to argue antisemitism because it loses the argument always made, which accounts for the nuts on campus and elsewhere; but also because antisemitism is legal and it’s a mistake to suppose that it’s not. It’s just another losing argument.

Act like you’re white people being attacked when you’re doing the stuff you’re doing to in fact take care of Palestinians, while they’re being immoral terrorists, and get the argument out of the oppression genre.

destroycommunism in reply to rhhardin. | June 30, 2025 at 12:29 pm

      agree to a point

the jews dont generally *argue* that they are more oppressed

they are forced to downplay their cultural achievements lest they piss off the blm who can only claim to dribble a ball better

“Why does that happen? It’s because Jews get something about the claim of being oppressed, namely alienation. That prevents assimilation and preserves the religion.”

Idiotic to the max. Jews are NOT trying to “get something” or looking for “alienation” as if they are trying to segregate. It’s non-Jews that have stood in their way.

Pretending that Jews set this up to prevent assimilation and to bring forth their oppression is stupidity masking as theory.

Give it up already. It’s a bigoted theory and it’s wrong!

Can you point to an example of Jews pointing out the good they do, and try to do, for Palestinians? That’s would would influence singers and campus protestors.

Instead they’re accused of antisemitism, hating Jews, etc. Those are losing arguments.

CincyJan in reply to rhhardin. | June 30, 2025 at 1:10 pm

The results argue that you’re right.

Living in the world of “arguments” is not living in the real world.

Examples? They are in a war now. However, Jews provide humanitarian relief to those that want to exterminate them. Ask Abbas. As if the Palestinians and Jew haters care? Or the theorists that act like they have all the answers and suggest it will make any difference.

rhhardin in reply to rhhardin. | June 30, 2025 at 1:21 pm

You have to argue that, instead of calling them anti-semites.

You are the one that needs to “argue.” over inane theories. As such, your advice sucks. One can both point out good acts and antisemitism, neither of which is theoretical.

They have been reporting for a year on all the food they are sending in to those people. If the world press ignores it there isn’t much they can do. The biggest good they are doing is in the news every day, they are destroying the terrorists

rhhardin in reply to rhhardin. | June 30, 2025 at 2:06 pm

You can start by not calling them anti-semites, because it frames the place of argument in their favor. Their fault isn’t hating Jews but not seeing goodness when it’s right in front of them.

The right tone to take with such a person is putting more in front of them.

artichoke in reply to rhhardin. | June 30, 2025 at 2:55 pm

No, in fact we do point out that nobody else wants those Palestinians and they’ve been treated better by Israel than in the other Arab countries. Compare the Jordanian refugee camps with living in Judea and Samaria as a Palestinian.

And the Palestinians periodically lash out violently (in Israel, but also in Jordan). More often in Israel I guess because they have more opportunity.

And in your case complain that we’re tear-jerking. No, but some on the left in Israel have had that tendency. Since 10/7 that’s gone way down. Now we actually fight.

And none of it does anything but make the Palestinians feel empowered to fight again.

CincyJan in reply to rhhardin. | June 30, 2025 at 2:15 pm

I’ve been thinking about your criticism. You’re right – American Jews are not putting up an effective defense. I have the following thoughts, which I’m generously sharing!

(1). In the 70s and 80s there were several effective TV movies about the Jewish experience in the Holocaust. In fact, I believe Rutger Hauer’s break out role was in the TV move Inside the Third Reich, based on Albert Speer’s book. Some of those old movies should be taken out of the vault and replayed. This generation responds mainly to emotional, visual stimulus. It wouldn’t hurt to replay a couple of the great A movies, too. Schindler’s List and Sophie’s Choice come to mind

.(2). We speak of Jews as if they were a unified group. But they are not. Many Jews value being on the left more than they value being Jews. So a portion of Jews are happily working with the opposition – such as Brad Lerner campaigning with Mamdani. They must realize that to Hamas, for example, their ideas or values mean nothing. All that counts is whether they can be identified as Jews. It must be that they really don’t feel threatened. And they don’t believe their children are threatened.

(3). The conservative right was very supportive at the end of Trump’s first term. Trump is the only President who has had a favorite daughter covert and raise his grandchildren as Jews. Plus there was the matter of the Abraham Accords, which are effective guarantees of Israel’s existence. Commerce forges tight bonds that simply ignore religious difference. But it seems Ivanka converted to the wrong type of Judaism (Orthodox), and that liberal Jews didn’t care about the Abraham Accords, as they were tainted by their connection with Trump. It was a shock when the Jewish vote was publicized.as being 70% against Trump. Really? Then there is no hope of conservatives ever satisfying that 70%, and American Jews lost a great deal of support from conservatives. Although they remain supportive of Israel, as we think they are facing possible extinction if they ever lose a war.

As divided as the Jewish population is, and as unwilling as many are to support the greater group, I really don’t see how they can put up an effective defense. First, they’re going to have to acknowledge they’re under attack. And too many think the only danger comes from the MAGA crowd!

artichoke in reply to CincyJan. | June 30, 2025 at 2:59 pm

All true. I think percentages have shifted since 10/7, especially within Jewish communities in Israel and also the US. It also helps that the Orthodox are far more productive in having children than the Reform or nonreligious Jews. Those children are now coming to voting age, to serving in the IDF, and full participation in society.

        Very good points. Thank you.

The progressive fascists believe that the Muslims have dark skin and the Israelis have white skin and are oppressing the Muslims. They think that the Muslims are justified in anything they do to fight their oppressors the Jews. This includes slaughtering the innocents like on Oct 7th and running death camp like the Nazis did for millions of Jews.

Wait for it (KBJ)….judge issues injunction against Trump Administration to un-cancel the visas.

/sarcasm

Imagine the world if there were no Jews, and if there never were any Jews. Imagine the world and mankind without Jewish contributions.

One thing pretty certain. These “artists” and “humanitarians” and their chanters, from their caves, would just find someone else to scapegoat and hate to make themselves feel valuable. How sad for us all.

destroycommunism in reply to oldschooltwentysix. | June 30, 2025 at 12:27 pm

    if there were no jews

al sharpton would have invented them to have someone to beat up on

Everybody is a Jew. It’s the human condition. That’s how it winds up being a religion for adults.

Everybody is NOT a Jew. Tell that to the Jews who fear for their lives or have to listen to theories that try to explain away the reality of Jewish existence in the owrld today.

Easy to spout ridiculous ideas. If “everybody is a Jew” then there would be no need to assimilate or play the oppression/victim games you love so much. Make up your mind.

The insight of Judaism is that being called on is the only thing that makes you a person, unique and irreplaceable. Until then you’re an NPC, interchangeable with anybody else.

The human condition is being called on (to be responsible for somebody else). It doesn’t happen with ostriches, for example.

13 Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?
14 Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,
15 And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.
16 She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not her’s: her labour is in vain without fear; (KJV)

That’s the human condition in general. Think of it as built-in alienation in your very identity. Or as a connection to prophets rather than early Greek philosophers.

Your lectures are unconvincing. And that is being generous.

Wow. “ The insight of Judaism is that being called on is the only thing that makes you a person, unique and irreplaceable. Until then you’re an NPC, interchangeable with anybody else.”

Not according to any rabbi I’ve ever learned with. Where do you get this nonsense?

All it took for him to face consequences for anti-white hate speech was biting the hand that feeds him.

After listening to the video I am of the opinion that there will not be a great cultural loss by canceling the visas. If these were serious people, the message would be to release the hostages.

Looks like someone just had his Dixie Chunks moment. Good luck being shut out of the largest music market on the world

The state department should monitor hateful comments of non-green card holders and deport them

It can’t. It can deny visas to those who are not here yet, but as soon as someone sets foot in the USA their speech is protected.

Up until last week I would have predicted that a federal district court judge not only would have enjoined the State Dept. from banning Mr. Vylan, but would have mandated a free concert on the White House lawn. Thank you Supreme Court!

What a drastic fall for England in general, and the Glastonbury Festival in particular. In 2022, Sir Paul McCartney played a humanity lifting set there. A man for all people, doing what he does better than anyone. And now you get these bloodthirsty Anti Semites, bloodthirsty as anything. Sad. Good on the Trump admin for not letting these morons into the US. Trump is the best.
