Reports: Israel Locates Body of Hamas Chief Mohammed Sinwar

The Israel Defense Force (IDF) may have succeeded in recovering the body of Hamas chief Muhammad Sinwar, who was killed in an airstrike on an underground bunker three weeks ago in southern Gaza, Israeli and Arab news outlets report Saturday.
The IDF is conducting forensic tests to confirm the identity of the body, which was found at the site buried along with those of several other terrorists. “The Israeli military said it found a body in an underground compound near the European Hospital in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis and is examining whether it belongs to Mohammed Sinwar, the head of Hamas’ military wing, who was killed last month in an airstrike,” the Israeli news website Ynetnews reported.

Muhammad Sinwar, the brother of former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, became the terror group’s “overall military chief” after his elder brother was eliminated by the IDF in October 2024.
Arab media reports support the claim that Mohammed Sinwar’s body has been retrieved. “Saudi channels Al-Hadath and Al-Arabiya reported Sunday that the body of Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip, Mohammed Sinwar, was found in a tunnel in Khan Yunis, along with the bodies of ten of his aides,” the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported. “According to the reports, Rafah Brigade Commander Mohammed Shaban was killed alongside Sinwar.”

The body was allegedly located in a tunnel, alongside about 10 other bodies of terrorists. (…)
Sinwar, former head of the Hamas military wing, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on May 13 in Khan Yunis.
The operation, conducted jointly with the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), targeted senior Hamas figures operating in an underground command and control center. (…)
The IDF previously said the airstrike was carried out using extensive intelligence measures aimed at avoiding civilian harm. The targeted command center was located beneath the European Hospital in Khan Yunis, but hospital operations were not disrupted.
Last Saturday, the IDF confirmed the elimination of Muhammad Sinwar after weeks of intelligence gathering. The airstrike was conducted when Muhammad and his top henchmen were briefly alone in a fortified bunker, away from the hostages whom they had been using as human shields since October 7, 2023, the Israeli news reports say.
After Hamas rocket fire, IDF orders evacuation of Gaza City neighborhoods
With Hamas using civilian neighborhoods to fire rockets towards Israel, the IDF on Saturday issued evacuation orders for parts of Gaza City, north of the terrorist-infested enclave. “IDF Arabic Spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued an evacuation notice to Palestinian residents living northwest of Gaza City, as well as the al-Nahda neighborhood in Jabalya, asking them to move south on Saturday afternoon,” the Jerusalem Post reported.
The IDF ordered the evacuation to minimize civilian casualties as Hamas continues to fire rockets from these residential areas.
The IDF is gearing up to hit Hamas rocket launchers in the area as Operation Gideon’s Chariots entered its 34th day. The operation is seen as a final push to destroy Hamas’s terrorist fighting force and free the remaining hostages after the terror group refused to accept the latest U.S.-backed ceasefire plan.

The IDF issued a warning in Arabic on Saturday to residents of two additional neighborhoods in northern Gaza, instructing them to evacuate immediately ahead of expected military strikes: “The IDF will target any area used for rocket launches.”
The message was delivered in a social media post by IDF Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee, who wrote, “This is a pre-strike warning! The IDF will strike any area used for launching rockets. The responsibility for the evacuation, displacement and suffering of residents lies with the terrorist organizations, foremost among them Hamas. For your safety, evacuate south immediately.”

IDF reveals identities of two slain Islamic Jihad terrorists who posed as journalists
The IDF has revealed the identities of two Islamic Jihad terrorists posing as journalists, who were eliminated in a recent Israeli airstrike.
The Legal Insurrection reported Thursday that IDF “fighter jets struck a command and control center of the Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terrorist group hidden inside a hospital in a Gaza city.” Following the intelligence-based precision strike, Palestinian activists and some mainstream media outlets claimed that an ‘innocent journalist’ had been targeted.
The IDF on Saturday debunked those claims by revealing the identities of the targeted terrorists. “Two days ago (Thursday), the IDF carried out a targeted strike against terrorists from the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization who were operating under the guise of journalists, from a command and control compound established in the courtyard of the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in the Gaza City area,” the military said in a statement. “The terrorists used the compound to plan and execute terror activities against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.”

IDF recovers body of Thai hostage murdered by Hamas on October 7
As part of the ongoing operation in southern Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) recovered the body of Thai hostage, Nattapong Pinta, who was abducted by a Hamas-linked terrorist groups on October 7, 2023.
Nattapong Pinta was a hardworking and beloved man who worked in agriculture in Kibbutz Nir Oz. He was held hostage for 610 days by terrorists in Gaza.

“Israel says it has retrieved the body of a Thai hostage kidnapped into Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023,” the Associated Press reported Saturday. “Pinta was kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Oz and killed in captivity near the start of the war, said the government.”
Pinta, who worked as a farm worker in Kibbutz Nir Oz, was abducted and killed by the Iran-backed Mujahideen Brigades terrorist group. This is the same terror group that murdered the Israeli-American couple, 70-year-old Judi Weinstein Haggai, 70, and 72-year-old Gadi Haggai, after kidnapping them around the same area on October 7, 2023. The IDF, on Wednesday night, recovered the bodies of the couple from southern Gaza.
“Nattapong Pinta was abducted alive by terrorists of the Mujahideen terrorist organization from Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7th, 2023, and was murdered while in captivity by the murderous terrorist organization,” the IDF said in a statement Saturday. “The operation was made possible by precise intelligence obtained from an ISA interrogation of a terrorist, along with intelligence received from the Hostage Task Force and the IDF Intelligence Directorate.”

The military vowed to undertake all efforts to bring home the remaining hostages. “We have a critical and moral mission to bring all 56 hostages home, and our troops are working towards this with courage and determination,” IDF Spokesperson, Brigadier General Effie Defrin, declared Friday.

Return the body of Muhammad Sinwar in the company of a thousand journalists, making absolutely crystal clear that it’s being done with respect for the family and only the family. Do it on live TV so the whole world can see how it’s done. That way the savages can’t say they did it without respect. Don’t sink to the depths of depravity where the savages live. Give them opportunity to humiliate themselves instead.
