Jake Tapper’s Endgame Comes Into View: We Failed Covering Biden’s Age But We Won’t Fail With Trump

“When it comes to the president, President Trump, while he appears healthy, he has not been transparent about his health records”

As Jake Tapper tours the media landscape hawking his new book about Joe Biden’s mental decline and the related cover-up, one has to wonder what his end goal is here, besides making money off of book sales.

It’s already starting to come into focus. This is all going to be about how the media covers Trump in the remaining years of his presidency.

Jake Tapper knows that he and the media couldn’t possibly go after Trump on this kind of issue unless they acknowledge the problems with Biden, so the book tour is more like an act of penance, so Tapper and others will be free and clear to attack Trump.

How do we know this? Tapper is already saying it.

FOX News reports:

Jake Tapper calls out Trump, says he ‘has not been transparent about his health records’

CNN’s Jake Tapper, co-author of the new book on the alleged cover-up of former President Joe Biden’s health decline, says President Donald Trump is not forthcoming with his health information.

“I just think in general, not Trump specific, but in general, I think that the press corps, and I‘m certainly including myself, needs to worry less about politeness when it comes to these health issues and needs to be even more aggressive when it comes to demanding transparency on health issues,” Tapper said Thursday on “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.”

On Tuesday, Tapper’s book, “Original Sin,” co-authored with Axios journalist Alex Thompson, was published…

“When it comes to the president, President Trump, while he appears healthy, he has not been transparent about his health records,” Tapper said. “And I think that that‘s something that the American people have a right to.”

What Tapper is essentially saying is that he and the media made a mistake by letting Joe Biden off the hook for four years, and they’re going to make up for it by aggressively going after Trump. Doesn’t it all make sense now?

My colleague Stacey Matthews recently wrote about this at RedState:

Though Tapper has not claimed he’s seen signs of Trump in decline, he has said that he “appears” healthy but “has not been transparent” about his medical record.

This is, of course, what’s called “setting the stage” for the same press who fretted endlessly over Trump once walking down a ramp slowly and once using both hands to grip a glass of water to go full-court press on simply “raising questions” about Trump’s health as a way to make up for their Biden-era sins and to “express concerns” in the coming months about his ability to lead for four years:

Jake Tapper was not suddenly possessed by a new sense of honesty. This is all about politics, as it always has been for our media.

You can see where this is headed from a mile away.

Of course they will cover the wrong things, that satisfy themselves. They will support the worst of the worst and pretend virtue. As they humiliate themselves in the public eye even further, by the doubling down.

If the trend continues and things take off economically, the media politicos are in for a rough time, deservedly so.

Who watches his show with trash insights anyway? Fake Tapper is out of line and he’s way too predictable. Even the fake book tour exists to go after Trump.

Tapper and his wretched ilk are total scum. The standards and tone of these vile Dhimmi-crat “journalist” shills/trained seals/lapdogs/stenographers quite obviously vary, according to a president’s political affiliation.

What’s galling is that these pukes don’t possess the honesty to concede their glaring political loyalties, agenda and bias. They still keep up the absurd and dishonest pretense of being objective and non-partisan.

Tapper needs to release his own medical health records. What cocktail of meds is he using? He needs to submit to random monthly drug testing.

None of it is coverage, on the right or on the left. It’s all an entertainment choice for your favored narrative, and the product of news is not news but eyeballs. They sell eyeballs to advertisers.

Pretending to be news is part of the narrative on both sides.

At bottom, meaning before the recent popularity of the right, the right was about (one group) economics and (another group) traditional superficial values, e.g. flag etiquette. The economics group equates to common sense.

In the 80s the left morphed into a crazy people channel and the right developed news channels (NR, Limbaugh) which were bemused and mocking what the left had just said. Hence the traditional civility of the right. They treated the left as you treat women, as gentlemen but no above sharing the amusement with other guys.

It wasn’t love of news that drove people to Limbaugh. He was a prankster and loved making what the left just did ridiculous. That’s entertainment.

What does the news claim to know that you don’t know? They always claim to know what is important and what you should be concerned about.

Try that test on the left, and (less obvious) the right, for instance this channel.

Read the comments.

Yeh. The staff here at LE are getting filthy rich off the ad revenue stream. They’re just simple cynical organ grinding entertainers, and the readers here dance to the tune like so many somnolent circus monkeys.

    Except for you, rhardin.

    Thank god you’re here.

    PRAISE THE LORD!

It’s not entertainment. It’s a propaganda machine, disguised as entertainment, masquerading as news. To consider it merely “entertainment” is to ignore its purpose and its role in shaping public opinion, that is, in producing votes and support for favored candidates and agenda items. It is the deadly serious business of creating, and taking control of, an ever-growing government leviathan, and exercising the power that comes with controlling such a system.

rhhardin in reply to DaveGinOly. | May 25, 2025 at 5:46 am

Entertainment is what it is. Whataver gets you to click, the if it bleeds it leads effect, out of stoked anger or anything.

As George Carlin said in one of his bits, you find yourself rooting for a higher death toll after earthquakes and floods. He said it as a joke via true observation but had to withdraw the bit from his act because 9/11 then happened, making it “not funny” to Americans.

THe propaganda effect is just supplying the narrative that you choose to live in. It’s an attraction, not a push. Easy to recognize in the other side, harder to recognize in your own side.

The click-topics are not random. They follow a pattern.

There are a zillion news items in the world to choose from and what you see here are ones that make you mad. That’s a pattern. Now look for it on the left and see if it differs, as a news biz proposition.

rhhardin in reply to rhhardin. | May 25, 2025 at 7:08 am

The general form of propaganda is “virtue that goes public.” The “we are the good people” turns into venom very fast, as you can see here in the comments and everywhere else on both sides.

CommoChief in reply to rhhardin. | May 25, 2025 at 2:56 pm

This more succinct comment we can agree on. Always gotta watch out for the folks on a self appointed ‘mission/crusade’ claiming that Gott Mit Uns. Doesn’t matter if it is church ladies at sewing ciecle, some environmental whackos with claiming Gaia on their side or even more unsavory folks with deadly ends asserting it. They believe they are divinely inspired and doing ‘God’s work’ so if you object to their cause or actions you are obviously a non believer who is hell bound and thus worthless in the company of the elect so brushing you aside isn’t an offense in the eyes of the elect.

DaveGinOly in reply to rhhardin. | May 26, 2025 at 2:14 am

Of course it’s click bait and of course it appears to be entertainment. As propaganda it wouldn’t be effective without people putting eyes on it. Therefore it must appear to be something it isn’t to attract attention. Labeling propaganda as “propaganda” would downright turn away a large part of its potential audience and those it did draw would know that what they’re consuming is propaganda. It would be entirely ineffective. If people believe their consuming “entertainment,” they 1.) will be more likely consume the product; and 2.) would absorb the “entertainment’s” message more readily because of its pretty packaging and palatable nature.

I think all press covering the president including the anchors should have to take both an IQ and a mental acuity test. After all, we should make sure that only those sufficiently intelligent and sound of mind bring us the news as they load it up with their opinions and narratives.

Better yet, perhaps the public should vote on who is allowed to bring us the news in print and broadcast. Democracy you know.

Don;t confound the need by bleating with comments like “You can always change the channel.” We’re talking about democracy here. DEMOCRACY!!!

There has to be another way. Testing intelligence would only provide numbers to dazzle the easily impressed and give detractors something to focus on. History is filled with intelligent psychopaths. Taken to an extreme, Satan is intelligent but do you really want to follow him?

ztakddot in reply to DSHornet. | May 25, 2025 at 12:40 pm

So what you are arguing is

      Tapper is intelligent
      Satan is intelligent

      Ergo

      Tapper is Satan.

      Ok. I can accept that.

Jake Tapper, we need to see your health records to ascertain whether or not you suffer from Cranial-Rectal Inversion (CRI) or if you enjoy it.

It sems as if you enjoy it but you have not been transparent about your health records…

MoeHowardwasright | May 24, 2025 at 6:31 pm

Jake Tapper is a tool bag for the far left. After the previous administration fu($ ups and his non-reporting he can kiss my a$$. Jake GFY

Hopefully Trump says to the MSM:

“In the words of Secretary Noem: Suck it.”

They (fake news) are at what 93% – 95% negative coverage now? How much lower can they go?

irishgladiator63 | May 24, 2025 at 8:03 pm

This is nonsense.
They ignored Biden’s obvious physical and mental health issues.

During Trump’s first term they repeatedly tried to make his mental health an issue and say he needed removed by the 25th amendment. To the point of putting on psychiatrists who never even met Trump.

But they ignored or made excuses for Hillary’s obvious issues, such as having to be tossed in the back of a van like a side of beef.
Obama being a smoker was totally healthy to them. But George W. Bush’s being on the wagon was a total problem.
McCain’s war injuries were a problem…until he lost and supported Obama.
I’m noticing a pattern here…

If Tapper knows so much who was running the country and who was using the auto pen?

I wonder when his wife stopped listening to him.

The majority leaders should immediately draft up a Jake Tapper Law, in the the same vein that they do budget cuts:

The law will go into effect only in a FUTURE year, namely, upon the election of the next Democrat president.

Cucks like JR and Danny will gladly oblige their leftist pals.

The Democrats Propaganda Ministry still at work

JackinSilverSpring | May 25, 2025 at 12:01 am

The Maoist State Media lied repeatedly about the Russia-hoax. Why should anyone take them seriously about anything they report?

Trump hasn’t been transparent? Really? This is a hell of a lot more transparent than anything we saw from the Biden administration:

DSHornet in reply to Sanddog. | May 25, 2025 at 6:27 am

Read the lab report. Many men half his age want numbers like his. I’m of his generation and mine don’t look quite like that – many close but not as good. Let Tapper try to make something out of nothing and the jokes on him will write themselves.
    .

You can’t trust anything coming from a doctor of the moron.
His mental decline gets played out daily.
Has any person. EVER. Delivered a more bizarro ,rambling screed than THE MORON did at West Point? Such a buffoon.
Last week he did it again at the WH. Remember when THE MORON made a jackass of himself with Zelensky? Well he doubled down with the leader of South Africa, openly displaying his racism and ignorance by showing a video of 1000 white crosses falsely claiming they represented 1000 white farmers who were murdered in a genocide..So embarassing that this a-wipe is the US President

They were all fooled by 80 y/o dementia patient ??

That’s their story and they are sticking to it.

I saw during the 2020 election that Biden had brain issues via my TV. I saw this on all networks including Fox and all shielded Biden. When Biden was in debates and media events he was drugged up plus again they MSM/Fox kept Biden from being hammered from Trump when they were together.

After Biden was President he was not in front of the press and if he was he did not spend much time or answer many questions he did not know. The now cancer issue that Biden has is something he likely has had for many years even before he was President.

As VP and President Biden has had full testing by top Doctors for everything. So everything was known before Biden ran for President. His wife knew it, likely the DNC knew it, and so did most of the Dems in DC including the MSM.

I gave up watching MSM and Fox the election night of 2020 when the election was stolen. I see some of these various in clips at times but they are dying of viewers.
