The Associated Press reported that doctors found a small nodule in President Joe Biden’s prostate.
He is 82 years old.
The discovery happened during a physical exam:
A short statement said the finding “necessitated further evaluation,” but it was not clear whether that had already taken place or the outcome of the examination.The detection of nodules in the prostate generally requires a further exam by a urologist to rule out prostate cancer. These kinds of abnormal growths can be caused by cancer or by less serious conditions, including inflammation or an enlarged prostate.
Hopefully it is not cancer.
A nodule could also be Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate.
It could also just show inflammation of the prostate.
Cannot stress this enough. Men, get your prostate exams! Ladies, get your mammograms and pap smears!
