President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump hosted the White House Easter Egg Roll this morning.
My goodness, it made my heart melt! Say what you will about Trump, but he is fantastic with children.
Both participated with the children in the Easter egg roll. They sat at the tables and colored with the children. Trump even signed the pages for the children.
Trump also announced he ordered flags to fly at half-staff in memory of Pope Francis.
Trump started the event with a speech, recognizing Melania’s hard work putting together the annual celebration. I loved this part:

We’re honoring Jesus Christ, and we’re going to honor Jesus Christ very powerfully throughout our lives, all throughout our lives. Not just now. That’s why you see the kind of numbers that you’re seeing. The spirit and the kind of numbers that you’re seeing, so we’re going to come down and join you right now, but I just want to wish everybody once again: Happy Easter!
Of course, Trump had to poke at former President Joe Biden and the news.
The Easter Bunny had to lead Biden around his Easter egg rolls. There was one time the bunny spooked him.
