Anti-Israel Activists at Columbia Chain Themselves to Gate as Prospective Students Tour Campus

Anti-Israel activist students at Columbia University chained themselves to the school gate, demanding the release of Mahmoud Khalil and calling for an ‘intifada revolution’ as prospective students toured the campus. Some people have suggested that this exact scenario is what led to the enrollment crisis at Emerson College.
This idiocy continues at Columbia despite the best efforts of the Trump administration to persuade the school that it’s in its best interests to get a handle on it.

Several Columbia University student activists chained themselves to a school gate Wednesday afternoon, chanting “globalize the intifada” as prospective students walked by.
The four unmasked protesters secured to the St. Paul’s Chapel gate, which serves as a campus entrance, were joined by additional students behind them, wearing masks and holding signs that read “Pigs aren’t kosher,” “Israel bombs, Columbia pays,” and “ICE off campus.” The group assembled to demand the names of the trustees who “collaborated” with the Trump administration, resulting in the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil.
As a group of prospective students and their families passed by, the anti-Israel agitators chanted, “There is only one solution, intifada revolution,” and “Intifada, intifada, globalize the intifada.”
Columbia’s Public Safety removed the chains after several hours and escorted the activists through the gate, where they continued their protest.
Wednesday’s events unfolded amid Columbia’s ongoing battle to curb rampant campus anti-Semitism, a crisis that has destabilized its leadership and triggered a $430 million loss in federal funding.

In related news, a student at the school was just arrested for throwing an unlit Molotov Cocktail from a dorm window.

A Columbia University student was arrested after tossing an unlit Molotov cocktail from his 14th-floor dorm room, police said Tuesday.
Javen Jovero, 22, filled a plastic bottle with rubbing alcohol and a sock before throwing it out of his dorm room window at Columbia University’s East Campus on Morningside Drive near W. 118th St., police said.
Why are Columbia’s trustees allowing this madness to continue?

Perhaps chain their chains and make them sit for a few days while pro-Israel activists parade in circles around them.
And let’s not forget to show them all of the videos of the attacks. Make them sit there and watch, then deport to Gaza.

I can’t wait for the day when protestors finally learn the abject stupidity of voluntarily immobilizing themselves for a cause. It’s WAY overdue (modulo the Porsche demonstrators in Germany).

There is another solution. Leave these protesters chained to the gate, then hire ‘rent-a-grandma’ to serve these protesters delicious chocolate cup cakes laced w/ a laxative.

My solution is old fashioned. They’ve essentially put themselves in stocks. Now sell rotten vegetables to the crowds. Much fun and entertainment.
That fence needs to be spray painted. Now is a good time.
By this point, I think it’s safe to assume Columbia’s trustees allow this madness to continue because they support it. Instead of getting mad and demanding action, stop giving the school federal dollars, and don’t send your kids there. Make Columbia a pariah and let it die.
Any other cause and they would be expelled which is what should happen.
Enough privileges for being leftist. Even without direct subsidies we subsidize Columbia by virtue of the University not needing to pay taxes.
Send all of these pathetic useful idiots off to Riker’s Island for an all expense paid long weekend.
The idiocy of these useful idiots was exemplified by the one student who I just suspect didn’t know how Molotov cocktails work. They have no life experience, believe everything their teachers and the media spoon-fed them, and badly need wake-up calls now instead of later.
Arrest, Expel, Suspend.
The job of the students is to attend classes, the job of the uni is to hold classes. Any unlawful behavior that gets in the way of Job One needs to be stopped – not encouraged like it has been.
They are not protecting civil rights, they are interfering with the civil rights of everyone else on campus – and not just the Jewish ones they’re attacking directly. Money talks, cut off govt loans and govt money to both students who do that and any uni that encourages that.

I was vehemently opposed to the military draft back when we sent troops to die for another country most of us never heard of.
At the same time, military service – even without being in a ‘police action’, changed my perspective in many ways. It still took a few years after I got out for my views to solidify, but my service got the ball rolling.
These children need either to hold actual jobs where they must work or be fired, or need some sort of experience like the military or work in hospitals or veteran’s homes to gain a wider perspective. I firmly believe that most of them would come around to some form of common sense.
They need a sign that says “Do Not Feed the Animals”

But seriously, any students needs to be suspended for a year. Any non-students need to spend some time at the MCC prison. All involved also need to be hit heavy with fines as well.
Isn’t about time this battle is brought to the trustees sitting fat and happy enabling it all. Shun them while boycotting their firms!
Well when they are all chained together it’s easier to pull of their klan hoods and show their ugly faces. So that might be a positive?
