Marine Le Pen Banned From French Election After Found Guilty of Embezzlement
Weird how this happens after a poll discovered Le Pen would be the front runner in the 2027 election.

A French judge found National Rally leader Marine Le Pen guilty of embezzlement of public funds and banned her from running in the next election.
The judge also sentenced her to four years in prison, with two years suspended:
According to the court, the politicians set up a system between 2004 and 2016 to funnel €2.9 million from the EP to the headquarters of the RN in Paris.
Le Pen has been “at the heart of this system since 2009”, according to President Bénédicte de Perthuis.
The court stressed that “no one was judged for having done politics”, but that it was about a “system” of embezzlement of public funds.
Le Pen cannot run for an election for five years, making her ineligible for the 2027 election.
The prosecutors insisted the election ban start immediately, and the court complied. However, she can keep her parliamentary seat.
Le Pen will appeal the jail sentence, so she does not have to comply with that yet.

At the time of her trial, even former Macron ministers came out in protest at the idea of her losing the right to stand for office.
Current French Justice Minister Gerald Darmanin posted on X in November that it would be “profoundly shocking” if she were to be barred from elections.
I’d like to see an answer to that question that did *not* come from the opposition party. Or from LePen’s party. It certainly *looks* like government money was sent to a political party’s account, but if you turn over a rock and find one worm, there are probably another dozen if you dig a bit. Makes me wonder what DOGE would find if they managed to do a full audit of France’s government. (Yes, I know the current French administration would never allow it. But I can think it without being arrested. For now.)

Actually, many of these countries are trying to kill off themselves. Plummeting birth rates coupled with unprecedented immigration means that within a generation several European nations will be radically transformed. Much of their aristocracy promotes this because they think that if they lead it they will remain even more in charge, though history suggests otherwise. The U.S. has much more experience with multiethnic communities, and nowadays it is unlikely that a single group can amass the numbers here to oppress the others. Not so in Europe, where old alliances are shifting to reflect the new demographic, which is clearly anti-european.
Also, is this selective enforcement? What are the chances that long-established politicians in any country are squeaky clean? Why haven’t they all been investigated? Answer: See “long-established.”

The last of the WWII generation are dying off so France has no real recollection of what it’s like to live as a conquered people. When and if the Epstein files become public it would surprise me greatly if a number of European elites and politicians are not listed as clients and none of them will be the populists currently being hounded out of politics.

He promised he would do so, just like he promised he would “Build The Wall!” and “Lock Her Up!” He also promised he would end the Russia/Ukraine war within 24 hours after being elected. What kind of clients are we talking about? Financial? (I understand Epstein may have been good at handling money.). Until we know the nature of the services Epstein was providing to these people, his client list may be of no interest.

The EU censure of Orbon in Hungry, nuking the election results in Slovakia where the populist was victorious then refusing his candidacy, then candidacy of his replacement, Germany banning Afd with CDU promising immigration reform only to break it 3 days post election, France going nuts with Le Pen and National Rally, the UK elite dragged their feet on Brexit with both labor and Tories now exposed as globalist hacks aiming at denying Farange power when they take a break from arresting folks for silent prayer or wholly factual internet posts.
A French EU official said a few months ago that just as they canceled the Romanian elections, they could do the same in Germany and other countries if necessary.
Looks like they were not joking. The EU’s response to fucking up the continent with unpopular policies is just to ban any candidate that garners enough popularity to pose a threat.
Stifling genuine political opposition and good faith dissent is all fun and games until they figure out the growing discontent when left without any outlet is like a pipe waiting to burst under the growing pressure.
