Biden-Backed Green Group Sent $651M to Credit Unions—EPA Denies Oversight [Correction]

Despite the staggering amount of taxpayer money involved, the EPA now claims it has no authority to oversee the funds after they are transferred.

Correction: This article mistakenly originally mentioned Coalition for Green Capital. It has been corrected.

A Biden administration-backed green energy group, Inclusiv, funneled $651 million in taxpayer funds into credit union accounts, and now the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) insists it has no oversight of how the money is being used. This revelation comes as the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) continues to scrutinize government spending.

The Free Beacon has more:

In mid-February, the New York-based eco group Inclusiv—which received $1.9 billion last year as part of the EPA’s $27 billion Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund program—transferred $651 million to 108 credit unions across 27 states and Puerto Rico. The group said the credit unions would use the funding to offer financing for green energy projects such as solar installations and electric vehicle chargers within their jurisdictions.

Inclusiv initiated the transfer on the same day that EPA administrator Lee Zeldin discovered that the Biden administration had parked $20 billion in Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund funding in accounts at an outside financial institution, limiting federal control and oversight of the money. In collaboration with the Department of Justice, Zeldin ultimately froze the accounts, but not before Inclusiv completed its transaction.

Despite the staggering amount of taxpayer money involved, the EPA now claims it has no authority to oversee the funds after they are transferred.

The passthrough structure of these grants is a significant deviation from how EPA regularly conducts oversight of grantees,” EPA spokeswoman Molly Vaseliou told the Free Beacon. “EPA has no visibility nor role into understanding how these taxpayer dollars are being spent on the ground.”

This is yet another example of taxpayer dollars being funneled away with little transparency instead of being used for legitimate public benefit.

However, the story doesn’t end there.

After Zeldin’s team located that $20 billion in program funding at an outside financial institution, the Free Beacon reported that the Biden EPA had awarded $2 billion of that sum to a brand new environmental group linked to Georgia Democratic politician Stacey Abrams and another $5 billion to a senior Biden EPA official’s most recent employer.

At best, this raises serious ethical concerns. At worst, it suggests outright kickbacks to Biden’s inner circle—a coordinated effort to funnel taxpayer money to politically connected organizations before the administration leaves office.

With growing scrutiny on government spending from DOGE, the EPA’s inability to track taxpayer dollars once they leave federal hands will only add fuel to the fire. The Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund is looking more and more like a slush fund for Democratic allies, disguised as environmental policy.

And we have no business questioning this theift

So how can the doling out of vast sums of money with no oversight to ensure that the money is spent as intended not result in criminal investigations? The Federal employees that enabled this need to face consequences beyond losing their jobs, and laws need to changed so that this sort of thing is more heavily discouraged.

Dem Interstate racketeering? Immediatly file lawsuits to freeze the funds

Well, if EPA can’t do anything about it, maybe DoJ can. What about it Pam?

What credit unions got the money? The Dept of Ed credit union? The ActBlue employees credit Union?

Perhaps this is one time that the CFPB can serve a purpose and investigate every bank and credit union that received this money, and look for any violation of federal law, and fine the shit out of them. Track every dime they spend of this mo et, and investigate every recipient of this money to ensure they use it for the purpose it was intended.

Or, they can just return the money

Yet these leftist a-holes keep telling me that I’m not paying “my fair share”.

I’m beginning to think we need a reset on the entire government. Everything. Courts, Congress, Executive, Military, Keep the constitution and fire everyone, and start from scratch. It’s all been corrupted because of complexity, money, and the government class that feels entitled to spend and steal it.

And it’s the Democrats who incessantly say the Republicans are in bed with the evil cor4porations, tax breaks to the rich, etc.

Looting the Republic

maxmillion it’s always pure projection with Leftists, charge opponents with your crimes.

I would suggest the Trump Admin get behind a few straightforward short term fix
1. Ask Congress for blanket recession authority to ID and hold questionable funding. Once ID the Executive sends back to Congress for up/down vote by line item on the ID ‘questionable’ spending.
2. Set temporary funding at 90% of baseline budget while full FY budget is being marked up and eventually approved.
3. Require Sec level authorization to shift funds outside the department as last check on questionable spending. Once the funds hit the byzantine NGO world of transfers it is much harder to figure out where they went.
4. Simple legislation that makes financial transfers among NGO and Charities illegal. Same for all nonprofit political contributions to PAC or to candidates to mitigate payola. PAC can contribute to candidates but not other PAC.

I believe this is just the beginning of finding of questionable/illegal spending. There are reasons that many politicians leave office as multi millionaires, this could be a prime source. Examples abound.
