From AZ Central:
Hundreds of protesters at ASU drown out GOP student event seeking to report classmates to ICE
Hundreds of protesters took to Arizona State University’s campus on Friday in a show of support for immigrant communities after a student group encouraged students to report their peers to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
College Republicans United, a conservative group with ties to white supremacy, was allowed to host its event on campus as scheduled but ultimately left after an hour, speaking to very few students.
The lone table sat outside Hayden Library with a pair of College Republicans United members brandishing signs directing students to report classmates on ICE’s tip website. They were opposed by hundreds, who protested by marching in a circle around them and led chants in support of the immigrant community.
More than 700 people signed up to attend, according to event organizers Aliento. The group estimated more than 1,000 people attended. The ASU Police Department said officers only counted around 150 people.
Aliento is an advocacy organization that provides resources to immigrants and their families, drew students and other community members looking to protect them.
The group published an open letter to the university the day before calling on officials to prevent ICE officials from entering campus without a warrant, ensure student clubs are not violating school policies, and protect students from targeting and harassment. That letter received more than 3,500 signatures in support by Friday morning.
In a statement two days after the event was announced, ASU said Friday morning it disagreed with the event but would protect free speech. The university said its dean of students and the school’s police department were available to help any students who were threatened or harassed.

AZ Central is the electronic presence of the Arizona Republic newspaper (ironic note: its original name was the Arizona Republican). It’s been captured by the left (Gannett) so hard that DW decided about 12 years ago that she could no longer bear to subscribe even to their Wednesday-only edition to score the grocery store coupon ads.
The marxist students are brain dead and will not change voluntarily. They have no clue about the Constitution nor any of the legal responses a university could take against protesters who violate the law. If they university refuses to support the law abiding students by crushing the protesters, those in administration should be immediately charged with aiding and abetting illegal activities, and all donors to the university should withdraw all support.
ICE should be made aware of events like this, a great opportunity for collecting illegals.
