IDF: Kfir and Ariel Bibas ‘Brutally Murdered,’ Third Body is Not Shiri

The IDF could not confirm the identity of the third body.

The IDF confirmed Hamas “brutally murdered” 10-month-old Kfir and 4-year-old Ariel Bibas in November 2023.

Hamas claimed Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir died in an Israeli airstrike.

Nope.

Brutally murdered.

The third body Hamas returned today was not their mother Shiri Babas:

Following the completion of the identification process by the National Institute of Forensic Medicine in collaboration with the Israel Police, IDF representatives informed the Bibas family that their loved ones, Ariel and Kfir Bibas, have been identified.

According to the assessment of professional officials, based on the intelligence available to us and forensic findings from the identification process, Ariel and Kfir Bibas were brutally murdered by terrorists in captivity in November 2023.

During the identification process, it was determined that the additional body received is not that of Shiri Bibas, and no match was found for any other hostage. This is an anonymous, unidentified body.

This is a violation of utmost severity by the Hamas terrorist organization, which is obligated under the agreement to return four deceased hostages. We demand that Hamas return Shiri home along with all our hostages.

Ariel Bibas was four years old at the time of his death, and Kfir Bibas was ten months old at the time of his death. They were abducted with their mother, Shiri Bibas, from their home in Nir Oz. Yarden Bibas, Ariel and Kfir’s father, went out to protect them and was abducted prior to the abduction of Shiri and the children. Yarden returned as part of the agreement for the return of the hostages on February 1, 2025.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Bibas family during this incredibly difficult time and remain committed to doing everything possible to ensure Shiri and all the hostages are brought home at the earliest opportunity.

Abomination.

Not returning her body suggests that they did something horrible and they know it would be revealed if they returned it.

It might also suggest that one of the myriad of terrorist groups that had the hostages murdered her and had no idea where the body was so just told a different Hamas group that this was it.

BigRosieGreenbaum in reply to Paula. | February 21, 2025 at 9:01 am

IDK, they did something horrible to everyone and filmed it. They’re not afraid or ashamed of what they did. Either she was completely obliterated or maybe they somehow lost her body.

Breathtakingly and stupidly obscene to try and pawn off the remains as that of a hostage. Hamas is playing an incredibly dangerous game. My first thought was that ordering the firebombing of Gaza following a 24/7 bombardment for a week might adjust their attitude. No need to risk any more Israeli lives in ground operations.

Ghastly…but not the least bit surprising. They are who we thought they were.

It’s unlikely the body belongs to an Israeli who was never reported missing and therefore not previously known to be held by Hamas, right? Therefor, the more likely explanation is the Gazan animals knowingly took one of the bodies of their own casualties and stuffed it into that box. They don’t even have any respect for their own kind much less anyone else. ‘Peace’ cannot be reached with people like this.

My solution: Egypt is to be told the Rafah crossing is to be opened, or Israel will open it by force. Then Gaza is to be systematically razed, driving the population through the Rafah crossing. Flood the tunnels. The West supplies relief to encampments in the Sinai and the Arab states provide military security around them.

    Milhouse in reply to jb4. | February 21, 2025 at 2:12 am

That would end the peace treaty with Egypt, for whatever that’s worth.

Which isn’t much, and definitely not worth the price Israel paid for it, under coercion from Jimmy Carter in the USA (and Moshe Dayan and Ezer Weizmann at home), but it’s worth more than nothing, and the price has already been paid and can’t be got back.

Israel offered the Strip to Egypt at Camp David; Egypt insisted on every last scrap of land that was Egypt before 1967, but it refused to take Gaza, which was never part of Egypt. Their excuse was that they didn’t want to take land that wasn’t “theirs”, but everyone knew the real reason; they remembered what a headache the Strip had been when they occupied it from 1949 to ’67, and were glad to have it now be Israel’s problem

mailman in reply to Milhouse. | February 21, 2025 at 2:26 am

Ending the peace treaty would be the least of Egypt’s worries with that influx of terrorists in to their country 😂😂

Or, and hear me out on this, Egypt could work with Israel to stamp out terrorism and extremism in Gaza.

      Decisions, decisions!

paracelsus in reply to Milhouse. | February 21, 2025 at 9:39 am

agreed, but it was Jimmy Carter (bless his soul down in Ptolomaea) who endorsed and fought for the return of the Sinai to Egypt. not Dayan and Weizmann.

JackinSilverSpring in reply to Milhouse. | February 21, 2025 at 9:48 am

Egypt under Sisi has been playing a double dealing game with Israel. On the one hand, it’s a partner in peace and a mediator for Israel. On the other, it has turned a blind or worse to the smuggling of military equipment through Rafah. It is no surprise that it objected to Israel’s military takeover of the Rafah corridor during the war. Egypt no doubt lost some significant income when the smuggling operation was ended at that time.

I am so done with playing nice
with these f—— animals
(and I disrespect animals I know)
give them the Dresden effect.
give them 12 hrs to leave to Egypt
and then open the gates of Hell.
seal the flood the tunnels.
no more playing nice. be the pale
rider and death and hell follows you.

Poor poor babies

Pure evil. Get the hostages back, wait for Hamas to violate the ceasefire (and they will) then level the place. Send them back to Hell.

I get the impression that both Jordan and Egypt would kill Pales rather than allow them to stay. They want Israel to have to do the deed, and Israel will not.

I still think that Pales should be driven out. and not just out of Palestine.

Trump has spoken today

“Someone on X observed that even in Nazi Germany, there were some Germans who rescued/sheltered Jews and moved them to safety.

Not a single Gazan helped a Jewish hostage. Not even the babies.”

“I keep thinking about this,” the X-er said.

Me too.

Me three

“Someone on X observed that even in Nazi Germany, there were some Germans who rescued/sheltered Jews and moved them to safety.”

‘Hitler’s favorite boxer,’ heavyweight Joe Schmeling, never joined the Nazis and protected at least two Jewish children.

Milhouse in reply to gonzotx. | February 21, 2025 at 2:21 am

There were indeed many Germans who did what they could to save people. Even in PA territory, in what the Western governments insist on calling “the West Bank”, there are many Arabs who rescue Israelis who have taken a wrong turn and find themselves in trouble. But not in the Gaza Strip.

mailman in reply to Milhouse. | February 21, 2025 at 2:32 am

Gaza needs full scale denazificarion like what the allies did to Germany and Japan after WWII.

No fucking about! The entire death worshipping racist culture that is Palestinian society needs to be corrected and corrected hard.

No more leftists NGO’s operating anywhere in the Middle East. No more UN controlled schools. No more Palestinian appeasement and definitely an immediate stop to treating them as victims.

The children need to be, sad to say it, brain washed 24/7 that living in peace with Jews is not just a good thing but a desirable thing! Hamas to be outlawed and the death penraltybreinteoduced.

Males no longer allowed to congregate together in groups larger than two. Women to have to join the 21st century and no more hiding behind religious clothing.

Basically treat them like children until they behave like grown ups.

Fuck it, keep hammering them until they can function as civilised human beings.

smalltownoklahoman in reply to mailman. | February 21, 2025 at 6:36 am

Basically agree: I’ve said it before in the comments on other stories, if there is to be any real chance for lasting peace between Israel and the Palistinians then there needs to be a massive cultural change within the Palistinian community. Trumps idea about taking over, forcing Palis out, and rebuilding gets better by the day, especially when Hamas pulls something like this disgusting shit!

There were not ten righteous souls in Sodom and Gomorrah and so God obliterated them. Gaza deserves to be obliterated.

    AF_Chief_Master_Sgt in reply to JackinSilverSpring. | February 20, 2025 at 9:28 pm

Bomb them to oblivion and let God sort them out. It’s the job of the United States Marine Corps to arrange the meeting. Make it so.

But what was the principal offense and sin Sodom – and what policy does modern day Israel have towards it?

Milhouse in reply to M Poppins. | February 22, 2025 at 9:22 am

Sodom’s sin was hostility to strangers, lack of hospitality to them.

Kind of like the way many commenters here feel about illegal aliens.

Its sin had nothing to do with sex of any kind.

Never forget the 1.5billion muslims who support the gazans, the eurotrash and un, the south africans, the chinese, the russians, the many south americans, the Israeli left, and the progressive in this country in the media, the universities, hollywood, and the democratic party who do as well, May they all get everything they deserve is this life and burn in hell afterwards.

Well Trump promised “All Hell” if all hostages were not returned last Saturday, and they were not. The 2K pound bombs “Shock and Aw” have been delivered and Israel has a green light to use them when ready.

I wouldn’t surprised if the ones who murdered those kids were also kids. Training the next gen zealots.

If Israel were ever to take the decision to actually commit “genocide” (since the world is already blaming it for doing that anyway), no bombing would be required. No bulldozing or turning it into a parking lot or anything like that. Just put the territory under total siege. Nothing comes in. No water, no food, no electricity, no medicine, no “humanitarian aid”, nothing. Maintain a strict sea blockade and inform the European busybodies that any “humanitarian flotilla” that tries to run the blockade will be sunk immediately. And just wait two weeks. The world will scream, but it’s screaming anyway.

The real problem with this is the Israeli DOJ and judiciary, and the fact that the military would refuse the orders.

mailman in reply to Milhouse. | February 21, 2025 at 2:34 am

Or just stop supplying food, water, electricity, medicine. Let the Palestinian brothers in Egypt and Turkey step up and help them out.

Europe won’t do fuck all, they have a war in the Ukraine to keep going.

noway in reply to Milhouse. | February 21, 2025 at 6:24 am

    Sadly Milhouse,

While I agree with your post, a siege will do little good. There is still a massive tunnel network left in tact, probably filled with enough supplies to keep Hamas alive for a good long time. The civilians have shown they are combatants now by their actions, and except for the children that could possibly be deprogrammed from their evil oppressors propaganda and their parents the others need deported or killed.

The Left has a lot to answer for, especially here.

DSHornet in reply to noway. | February 21, 2025 at 10:07 am

Drop a few MOABs along the Egypt border to collapse the tunnels. Eventually their preexisting stock will be exhausted.
      .

Besides what Paula wrote, suspect if NIFN has no identification of this body it’s a Gaza citizen .
I assume they know every missing person

MoeHowardwasright | February 21, 2025 at 6:59 am

The horror is real. hamas equals gaza. They had there chance with the cease fire. They have proven that the entire population is nothing more than a death cult. They are nazis. Israel should provide the forensic analysis to Russia, the Gulf States, Egypt and the EU. Along with a note to either join in moving them out or stay out of the way. Then flatten it. No two stones touching. If the death cult won’t move, oh well.

In an update to the story at Times of Israel, Hamas claimed it is the victim of mixed-up confusion. What? Hamas wants the world to believe it can’t keep their corpses straight:

Hamas expresse[d] surprise over Israeli anger after the terror group handed over a body yesterday that it claimed was Shiri Bibas, but Israeli authorities determined was not.

In a statement, Hamas says it will “examine these allegations very seriously” and announce the results of its investigation.

The Hamas statement reiterates its claim that there may have been an “error or mix up” in bodies found in the rubble of an Israeli airstrike which it said killed Shiri and her two young sons, Ariel and Kfir. Israel said last night that Ariel and Kfir, whose remains were identified after being handed over, were murdered in captivity by terrorists.

Hamas calls on Israel to return to Gaza the body of the Palestinian woman that it handed over yesterday in place of Shiri.

The terror group says it remains committed to implementing the current ceasefire-hostage release deal and vows to uphold “all of our obligations,” claiming that it has no interest in holding on to any bodies of hostages.

It is time to stop Muslim immigration to the west and start deporting any non-citizens, Enough of “tolerance”. They hate us.

They must really be afraid of what an autopsy of Shiri’s body would reveal — and how the rest of the world would react when they learned what had been done to her.

I used to refer to the Palies as a death cult but they are plumbing new depths in perversion.

Butchering alive a little boy and his infant brother.
Not soldiers fighting soldiers; rather, Satan’s most vile, evil, inhuman monsters.
Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord.
Dear Lord, please guide those with the earthly power and authority to fulfill Your vengeance for these precious children, created in Your image, and their mother and utterly destroy this wicked nation.

wonder if she was “sold” by traffickers.

Dolce Far Niente | February 21, 2025 at 11:12 am

I think the most likely explanation (not necessarily the true one) is that this little family was piled into a mass grave along with some Gazans.

The baby and toddler corpses would be easy to distinguish, but the rotted bodies of the adults might give no clue as to which was which, so they just grabbed the one on top.

It is also believable that the 7th century barbarian Gazans really didn’t know the Israelis could identify the bodies.

The hostages were farmed out to various factions for keeping. It is quite possible that the Hamas faction doing the deal with Israel had no idea that was not who it was supposed to be and is as surprised as anyone.
