Hispanic Man Stabbed at Anti-ICE ‘Student’ Protest in Los Angeles

A series of protests against President Donald Trump’s crackdowns on illegal immigration and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids have been taking place in Los Angeles since the weekend.

Today, these demonstrations culminated in a violent incident, when a person was stabbed during a student protest near Los Angeles City Hall.

The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the stabbing took place around 2 p.m. on Friday near Spring Street in downtown LA. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The demonstration was subsequently cleared from the area, and Spring Street was reopened between Temple and 1st Street.Details about what led to the stabbing have not been made available. It is also unclear if those involved in the altercation were students. The investigation is ongoing, and further information is expected as authorities continue to gather evidence and witness statements.

It seems that Los Angeles Unified School Districts were permitted to conduct this protest. It is not known whether the stabbing victim was a student.

Images taken by KTLA’s Sky 5 helicopter over downtown L.A. showed the aftermath of the brawl, which included a bloodied person. Several groups from different schools across Los Angeles congregated in front of city hall on Friday afternoon.By 1:49 p.m., the LAPD confirmed a hispanic male had been stabbed at Grand Park, outside city hall. He was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition as of 2:20 p.m.KTLA’s Rich Prickett estimated that there were several hundred people outside the city hall at about 1:30 p.m. The demonstration was cleared by 1:50 p.m., police said.It wasn’t immediately clear if the individuals involved in the brawl, including the person stabbed, were students, or if they were legal adults.

It is very troubling to realize these students are being organized to walk out in protest against the legal application of laws and statutes regarding citizenship. Especially as it is at a potential risk to themselves.

As Los Angeles Unified School District students prepare for another day of walkouts in protest of President Donald Trump’s immigration policies, the district is warning that some fake law enforcement agents may approach. In a post to social media, Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho said that some people impersonating Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have approached members of the district’s community in recent days.“We are aware of reports that individuals alleging to be law enforcement or ICE agents have approached some in our community,” Carvalho said. “This has the effect of generating fear within our communities.”He added that the district is working with police to address any potential impersonators.

It must be noted the number of students here illegally and attending our taxpayer-funded schools is potentially vast.

According to the Migration Policy Institute, about 146,000 students enrolled in California public schools are undocumented. Nearly three million children in California have at least one undocumented parent, according to the National Center for Children in Poverty.

No matter the results of the investigation into today’s incident, one must wonder how many woke Los Angeles teachers are hired to teach students who should not be here in the first place.

At present, there are no apparent efforts from Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass or California Governor Gavin Newsom to quell the quasi-riots. Perhaps they are hoping this will play out for Trump badly, as the Blake Live Matters violence did.

If so, they are likely to be deeply disappointed.

And these moves give Trump even more reason to unleash DOGE on the Department of Education.

Finally, I would like to conclude with some good news from California.

A woman was arrested on Thursday after she took down an American flag and placed it on the muddy ground at a California park, replacing it with a Mexican flag.Kern County deputies responded to the entrance of Hart Memorial Park in Bakersfield on Thursday morning after receiving reports of someone trying to steal the U.S. flag, the sheriff’s office said in a social media post. When park rangers arrived, they found a vehicle on the grass near a flag pole, authorities said.
