Anti-Elon Activists Target Tesla – Protests at Showrooms, Reports of Car Owners Being Threatened

“Don’t buy swasticars!”

Well, the silly season is upon us again (not that it ever truly left). We are seeing that not just with the over-the-top anti-Musk/Trump demonstrations Democrat members of Congress are staging at federal departments like the ED, but also from leftist protesters at Tesla showrooms and charging station locations across the country.

For the past two weekends now, small groups of people — many who look like aging hipsters from the 1960s — have been demonstrating in states like New York, Maine, Texas, California, and Washington, urging potential buyers not to buy a “swasticar” because it will make Musk, who they say is a coup-staging “Nazi,” richer and more powerful:

As part of an effort organizers dubbed #TeslaTakeover, clutches of protesters across the country gathered outside the company’s showrooms, having largely planned when to meet and where on the social media platform Bluesky, an upstart competitor to Musk-owned X, formerly Twitter.

In some places, those protests barely numbered a dozen, with people in Washington DC, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh and Lyndhurst, Ohio, stamping their feet to stay warm amid snow and cold weather. Some held signs that read “Say no to Doge” and “Deport Musk”.

The protest in Berkeley – a top California city for electric car ownership – numbered 200.

[…]

Saturday’s protests were promoted by prominent disinformation researcher Joan Donovan and the actor Alex Winter, who played Bill in the 80s movie “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.”

Here are some videos and photos from some of the protests:

There have even been reports of vandalism and threats to Tesla owners:

A group calling itself “Students Against Nazi Extremism” is reportedly issuing threats to Tesla owners ito sell their vehicles or they will be vandalized, according to a local media report.

Lost Coast Outpost reports that residents in Humboldt County in northern California found notes left on their Teslas saying “no Nazis in America.” At least one of the notes was tied to a brick, according to local media reports.

The group mailed a supposed manifesto to the news outlet claiming responsibility for the notes. The manifesto also issued threats to Tesla owners in Rohnert Park in Sonoma County north of San Francisco, Hayward in Alameda County in the city’s East Bay, and Seaside in Monterey County.

On the somewhat tamer side of things, left-wing singer Sheryl Crow virtue signaled on Instagram recently by showing her Tesla vehicle being hauled away after she sold it and gave the money she made to NPR:

Though the vandalism and threats are disturbing, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry over the rest of it. There is no “coup” going on. Elon Musk is not a Nazi. Waste, abuse, and fraud need to be rooted out no matter where they are located. It’s just as simple as that.

Sheryl Crow…didn’t she have a song on the charts a few decades ago?

I won’t buy an EV anytime soon, but those loser activists have nothing better to do with their time? If I was a parent, I’d instruct my children to point-and-laugh at them all.

Much like the lawfare waged against Trump made me like him even more, this has me thinking maybe there is something to buying a Tesla. Have to check it out.

“A group calling itself “Students Against Nazi Extremism” is reportedly issuing threats to Tesla owners…”

I’m no scholar of 20th century European history but I’m pretty sure the failed painter with the funny mustache sent people who criticized him to camps. And I don’t mean the kind with catchy songs and arts & crafts.

These people are on the far left of the bell curve.

These loons should cut to the chase and hold up signs saying, “I have mental problems”.

We haven’t been this close to the end of democracy since Reagan fired the air traffic controllers.

Far lefties protesting against far left Tesla owners.

This should be exciting.

Historically , every opponent of communism was branded a fascist. Keeps it simple for small minds although it can be challenging with two syllables.

More than 80 years ago, Orwell, who had fought in Spain against the fascists, pointed out that the term had become meaningless through overuse.

Violent threats are all these morons have to offer America.

I’m very disappointed that Alex Winter is part of this sad virtue-signaling wankerfest. He did a great job with his project to archive Frank Zappa’s vast trove of recordings and videos. I was happy to contribute financially to that effort. This antifa-like effort to justify horrible government waste and corruption is crap.

I’d do the same to Ben and Jerry’s if I had no life and were mentally deficient. Instead I just avoid their products. Same as for Apple, Men’s Warehouse, and bunch of other brands that have professed to hate me.

I’ll admit to occasionally buying Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, but only when it is at half price because the market is trying to get rid of it. Otherwise I can’t afford it at close to $7 a pint. My bad but my ice cream craving overrides my distaste for the company and its previous owners.

Wasn’t Lance Armstrong court ordered to spend time with Crow as punishment for blood doping and stepping out on his wife?

Actually, Mr. Musk has been defunding fascists.

Sad people doing sad things. If they spent as much energy actually making things better, how nice that would be.

If only we could be so privileged to give away a car worth thousands to pretend we are a better than those other people.

Just curious – how many of these “Trump is a Nazi” people drive VW’s or Audi’s?

Also – what is the greater priority – saving the planet by driving an EV or driving an ICE and thereby punishing Musk?

I’m old enough to remember when protesting an African American in the White House was racist.

Come see the violence inherent in the Left

Musk bought twitter because of FBI censorship. Musk supported Trump for various reasons. Trump won because there was an uncensored news site.

Trump won because the feds tried to censor the internet.

I have no intention of buying a Tesla because I can’t fit an EV into my lifestyle but now I’m considering finding some Tesla showrooms and seeing if there are protestors to walk past as pretend like I’m interested in buying one.

The protests have been pretty dang small.

That’s because Trump and Musk cut off USAID money for “grassroots” protests. Even the signs are juvenile, unlike the signs paid for and given to professional activists.

The best they could do is 200 people in Beezerkly. The rent a mob money dried up.

They’re so cute when they’re angry.

I’m a little confused by their threat to Tesla owners…
Sell your car or we will vandalize it and/or hurt you …
And to the NEXT owner goes the same warning…

WHO are they supposed to sell it to?
How do they know if it an “original sinful owner” or a “virtuous 2nd buyer”?

Oh yeah, there is not logic.
