Uh Oh: Ted Cruz Targets Nancy Pelosi’s Rejection of Security on Jan 6 at Kash Patel Hearing
“Just to speak English for folks at home, a declination meant she said, no, don’t send National Guard. Is that right?” “Yes sir.”

President Donald Trump’s nominee for FBI Director, Kash Patel, appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday for his confirmation hearing. He confidently swatted away the many “gotcha” questions from Democratic members of the committee like flies and delivered a stellar performance.
This post, however, will focus on Patel’s exchange with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), which was particularly noteworthy for its implications regarding accountability for former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Perhaps justice delayed is not justice denied after all.
In June 2022, investigative reporter and founder of Just the News, John Solomon, obtained an official timeline from the Capitol Police of the events that occurred in the days leading up to Jan. 6, 2021. This document validated the Trump administration’s account of events and clearly showed that Democratic leaders rejected repeated offers of a National Guard troop presence at the Capitol despite intelligence showing that violence was entirely possible.
Needless to say, this news was largely ignored by the legacy media.
Discussing his latest find with Fox News’s Sean Hannity at the time, Solomon said, “Four days of infamy, four days when the Capitol Police, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, leadership could have hardened the Capitol, could have gotten the resources in place, could have made the strategic decisions, could have accepted the National Guard help that would have saved all those men and women in blue on the Capitol who got injured that day.”
“It is overwhelmingly clear that these were repeated political decisions made instead of security decisions,” he added.
[Note: Solomon detailed his findings and shared links to supporting documents on his website the following day.]
At the time of the Capitol riot, Patel served as the chief of staff to then-Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher C. Miller. In that capacity, Patel was privy to the government’s security arrangements.
During Patel’s Senate confirmation hearing on Thursday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) asked him what he was doing on Jan. 6, 2021.
Patel replied, “On that day, specifically, responding to, preparing to mobilize and employ the National Guard once we got the lawful request from the local governing authority, which was the mayor of DC and the speaker of the House.”
“Now, how many days in advance were you working to prepare the Department of Defense to help secure the Capitol on January 6?” Cruz asked.
“Days in advance, Senator, we were in the Oval Office on an unrelated national security matter with the President of the United States, the Secretary of Defense, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and myself and the President authorized up to 20,000 plus National Guard men and women to secure any security measures necessarily related to the capital,” Patel said. “We were moving to the fullest extent of the law before the requisite request came from a local governing authority days ahead of time.”
“While you were chief of staff at DOD, how many times did DOD approach Capitol Police and ask if they needed National Guard assistance?”
Patel answered, “I believe those letters are well-documented. Numerous instances, and [on] numerous of those instances, those requests were shut down.”
“Now, am I correct that the Capital Sergeant at Arms said assistance was unnecessary?” Cruz asked.
“That’s correct, Senator.”
“Who did the Sergeant at Arms report to?”
“The speaker of the House.”
“That would have been Nancy Pelosi at the time. Is that correct?”
“Yes, Senator.”
Cruz asked if it would also include then-Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
“The Sergeant at Arms, yes, Senator, reports up there,” Patel replied.
“Did Mayor Bowser, the Democrat elected mayor in DC, either request or allow National Guard assistance?”
Patel noted that Bowser had “put in writing on the days leading up to January sixth, a declination for National Guard additional support, and that letter is available publicly to the world.”
“Just to speak English for folks at home, a declination meant she said, no, don’t send National Guard. Is that right?”
“Yes sir.”
[Eventually, Cruz asked Patel if he agreed with Trump’s commutation of the sentences of the protestors who attacked law enforcement officers on Jan. 6, and Patel said he opposed the decision.]
The fact that Cruz devoted a significant portion of his allotted time to questioning Patel about Pelosi’s rejection of National Guard troops ahead of the riot suggests that accountability may finally be on the table for the “Speaker Emerita.” With Christopher Wray’s FBI and her sham House January 6th Committee no longer shielding her or shifting blame onto Trump, she may be forced to answer for her actions.
Holy sh*t. Ted Cruz questioned Kash Patel about Nancy Pelosi’s actions on January 6.

In the clip below, Pelosi tells a colleague, “I take responsibility for not having them [the National Guard troops] just prepare for more.”

Pelosi was surprised we didn’t have National Guard on Jan6?? I was denied National Guard support multiple times before January 6, and repeatedly for 71 minutes ON January 6.

Pelosi and other leaders, including Schumer and Mayor Bowser, need to be questioned under oath about why, when FBI intelligence reports suggested violence was a real possibility, they rejected Trump’s offer of National Guard troops. Had they secured the Capitol, we might not even be talking about Jan. 6.
Did they want violence to break out that day to distract the public from the numerous allegations of fraud in critical swing states during the 2020 election?
Prior to the riot, nearly 200 Republican lawmakers were planning to object to the certification of the election results. Afterward, that number dwindled to 147.
Here’s how The New York Times covered the story:
When a mob of President Trump’s supporters stormed the Capitol building on Wednesday, they forced an emergency recess in the Congressional proceedings to officially certify the results of the 2020 presidential election. The disruption came shortly after some Republican lawmakers made the first of a planned series of highly unusual objections, based on spurious allegations of widespread voter fraud, to states’ election results. The chambers were separately debating an objection to Arizona’s results when proceedings were halted and the Capitol was locked down.
When the Senate reconvened at 8 p.m., and the House of Representatives an hour later, the proceedings — including the objection debates — continued, although some lawmakers who had previously planned to vote with the objectors stood down following the occupation of the Capitol. Plans to challenge a number of states after Arizona were scrapped, as well — but one other objection, to Pennsylvania’s results, also advanced to a vote.
Were they hoping that violence would break out so they could frame Trump for inciting an “insurrection”? Was this part of their plan?
Given all of the dishonest, unethical, and even unlawful maneuvers the Democrats have carried out in their crusade to destroy Trump, from the Russian collusion hoax to the coordinated lawfare campaign, it’s time for them to be thoroughly investigated and exposed.
I sincerely hope that, if confirmed, Patel assigns a team of agents to uncover the truth.
This is so important!
THIS is why Cheney deleted evidence.
THIS is why they lied to us all!!
This is THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT THING EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT j6TRUMP WANTED THAT BUILDING PROTECTED!!

“Did they want violence to break out that day to distract the public from the numerous allegations of fraud in critical swing states during the 2020 election?”
They not only wanted it, but it is clear that they instigated it. It was a Fedsurrection and nothing but.
I totally agree.
Reallly? Recounts done- no fraud. 50 court case . No evidence. His lawyers and ag conclude he lost. 2000 mules turned out to be fraud. But one asshole stuck with the fraud lie. And millions of gullible rubes bought his con( like they always do)This was why 1 / 6 happened. Anything else is redhat kooky talk
The biggest fraud was the persecution of people who were merely present at the Capital on January 6th, but committed no violence.
You are coming across as a Trump-hating Democrat, fully indoctrinated by the Left.
since it is now well established that Trump lied for months and there was no material election fraud, So why would anybody be coming to DC in 1/6? why would there be any need for NG?
But I guess that was when people were still naive about how clueless the Trump cult is. Despite the fact that he lies pathologically and constantly, people still believe him. It’s pathetic how low our country has sunk
You have no clue if there was fraud or not. Blowhards speak as if they know things they do not. You are passed the grade.
And, by the way, those with TDS like yourself are in the actual cult.
Since it is now well established that you are a troll and have been posting lies on this site telling us over and over in every post—-orange man bad, orange man bad.
Despite the fact that you lie pathologically and constantly and nobody believes you, you still post your BS. It’s pathetic how low we have sunk by letting you post your nonsense here. It is high time for you to be banned.
What lies? Please list? Speaking of which- let’s see if you can answer a simple question. His AG could not. Did Trump win in 2020?
Funny how you twist that. Answer is Yes he did, but since the Uniparty stopped true investigations, certification declared Biden the winner. They did everything they could to shut down a valid investigation. The same with Covid. Both were used as weapons.
The jail Tina Peters, the Michigan AG not going after the illegal vote fraud and the on tape ballot scanning just to name a few. I saw the presentation on CO and it had legs. Instead of investigating it, they attacked Tina. We don’t need to list anything.
My bad, Should have not responded to the village idiot.
It is even simpler than that. In the middle of a pandemic with a befuddled candidate campaigning from his basement, the national vote totals for 2020 versus surrounding presidential elections look like the counting was done by Maduro. It is not ambiguous.
Yes. The 10-20 MILLION voters who materialized from pure ylem, voted for Biden, then were abducted by aliens and never heard from again.
you know how it works, right? You have proof -you present it in court.Proof- not anecdotes and rumors. . And Not on Truth social or crackpot Qanon sites. ‘The moron’ and his legal team couldn’t do it. This is why HIS OWN LAWYERS AND AG. concede he lost. But you know more than them, right?
The thing is most of the cases were tossed on technicalities with standing and such not because of evidence. I know someone who was involved with Pennsylvania and they filed before the election about the PA sec of state changing the rules around mail in ballot when the legislature indicated they did not want them changed. Judge said you have no standing because you have not been harmed by the change. So after the election they go back and the judge says the time to argue about the rules is before the election takes place not after. A lot of the 50 cases were tossed for similar reasons. Most of the cases neither a judge or jury ever saw any of the evidence. So yeah they lost but only very few cases did someone rule there was no fraud the rest they just ruled they were not going to look at it.
The subject of the article is Nancy Pelosi. But a Troll comes along and attempts to hijack the thread and make it about his pet subject: orange man bad. Well I ain’t biting, Troll.
So by troll, you mean somebody who hasn’t believed all the MAGA lies.
Especially the J6 lies
THE FACTS: Trump has repeatedly and falsely claimed that he offered National Guard troops to the Capitol and that his offer was rejected. He has previously said he signed an order for 20,000 troops to go to the Capitol.
While Trump was involved in discussions in the days prior to Jan. 6 about whether the National Guard would be called ahead of the joint session, he issued no such order or formal request before or during the rioting, and the guard’s arrival was delayed for hours as Pentagon officials deliberated over how to proceed.
In a 2022 interview with the Democratic-led House committee that investigated the attack, Christopher Miller, the acting Defense secretary at that time, confirmed that there was no order from the president.
The Capitol Police Board makes the decision on whether to call National Guard troops to the Capitol, and two members of that board — the House Sergeant at Arms and the Senate Sergeant at Arms — decided through informal discussions not to call the guard ahead of the joint session that was eventually interrupted by Trump’s supporters, despite a request from the Capitol Police. The House Sergeant at Arms reports to the Speaker of the House, who was then Pelosi, and the Senate Sergeant at Arms reported to then-Senate Majority Leader Mitch MCconnel.

He has nearly 500 hours of troll experience since graduating from troll school for idiots. He often posts while wearing his night vision goggles. It’s hard to keep up with him since many of his posts are over 200 feet in the air.
Well maybe he will crash and burn.
Were you sick the day they taught English composition in school? Care to cite your bibliography and footnote your sources to prove your claims?
You are the pathological liar that you claim Trump is. Democrats are such good little Marxists, always accusing conservatives of doing the things they themselves are doing.
One more thing, knucklehead, was Joe Biden truthful when he said he would never pardon Hunter?
Joe biden was a serial pathological liar. Just not on Trump;s level. https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/the-new-york-times-bidens-a-serial-liar-but-trump/ I don’t blame Biden for changing his mind on Hunter after seeing the MAGA lackeys now in charge of the DOJ. Can’t trust any of them- they’ve made it clear they are out to exact revenge on the good guys who tried to hold Trump accountable. The last straw was ‘ the moron’ pardoned the execrable 1 6 creeps
I’m not sure what is more pathetic, the very obvious lies about January 6th that have been spewed by the media, or your acceptance of those lies, hook, line, and sinker.
what lies-? I go by the evidence. It was all investigated by Republicans with all Republican witnesses. What you are relying is QANON conspiracy theories and Trump . Doesn’t get any less reliable than that.
Junior Varsity sez, “no material election fraud”.
How could that be “established” since our elections are completely unauditable? Are ye daft?
the way it works is you find evidence and produce it in a court of law. None was produced.FYI – truth social is not a court of law.
You’re kidding me, right?
kidding about what?
It’s not established, either way, at all. Your fundamental flaw is you fail to consider that if you recount fraudulently cast ballots, you still get the same result. Simply put, if there were fake votes, those fake votes would remain in the system.
FWIW, I did a test this year. I did WRITE IN candidates for myself (Senate), my brother (President), my wife (Governor), my daughter (Sec. of State), my sister-in-law (Treasurer) and for Attorney General I wrote in Danny DeVito.
NOT ONE WAS COUNTED.
I will be filing a complaint with the Secretary of State’s office.
Many Democrats still believe it started in the wet market.
Wet market is where tjv1156 came from.
Good one
Actually I will never forget the Chinese lady working on some landscape, she shoved her hand into a bush, pulled out a young bird and ate it on the spot
I lost it
In China, anything that moves will be eaten.
Thank you, Paula. We love you!
who’s writing your material? Ted Cruz? LOLOLOOL #UNFUNNY
It writes itself.
She said “wet market.”
She meant “wet fart.”
From what I hear, the better translation would be “fresh market”… in the tradition of “Reset buttons” and the late unlamented President Carter sexually desiring Poland… I guess “wet” in is.
Ok. Maybe the Patient Zero researchers at the WIV picked it up at the wet/fresh market a couple miles away on their way home from work one day. And the CRISPR insertion sites in the virus occurred through natural mutations. Etc. Now, it would be nice if they could find some intermediate examples of the virus in the >1k miles between where the virus originated and the WIV… it’s only been a bit over 4 years, so there is still a chance.
Good article, Elizabeth! I won’t feed the troll; could he be a staffer for Pelosi or Schumer?
Pelosi’s daughter.
Let’s not forget the pipe bombs “planted” at the DNC and RNC headquarters as a backup in case the FBI’s informants could not convince people to enter the Capitol.
“The Insurrection” was the excuse to cease the debate on the vote certification and send it into and emergency session where no debates or motions could be made — only the business at hand of certifying the votes was permitted. If the crowds didn’t comply then the pipe bombs “being discovered” would have been the excuse for an evacuation to facilitate an emergency session.
Or it was just one big coincidence that Biden got 81 million votes, the National Guard was turned down, and one big crowd together misunderstood words to the effect of storming the Capitol that Trump never said…
you have a very active imagination. None of what you said is accurate, but it’s still amusing. HAHAHAHAH
Liar.
There were pipe bombs found. Trump never said to storm the capitol. The National Guard was turned down. There were FBI agents and informants in the crowd. These things led to an emergency session where there were no motions. Pretty much everything he said happened. He may be incorrect on the why it happened, but it is kinda funny how it all turned out.
HEY, MA, The meatloaf!
81 million ballots.
Since this has been common knowledge. Why did it take this long for anyone to step up to the plate?
if the NG had been there then their Antifa and embedded agents wouldn’t have been able to break in, justifying the attack on the protesters.
“…despite intelligence
showing that violence was entirely possibleagents actively fomenting violence in the crowdFIFY
C’mon, man – if Pelosi didn’t reject the offer of security, how on earth were the Fedbois supposed to carry out their false flag? Somebody gotta lay the groundwork for them.
So she can be investigated for aiding and abetting an “insurrection.” Beautiful. That will look good alongside the investigation of securities fraud. What will investigation #3 cover? And #4? Such a self-aggrandizing, highly privileged hack is highly vulnerable to prosecution under an honest
DOJ.
In a way, all this dickering with trolls may actually help clean up our elections. The problems are now getting more attention. Trump’s DOJ has been in business 14 days. They came prepared for this one. Why? Over half the votes were ignored and never should have be.
As for Pelosi, the troll above should watch Sen. Cruz’s questioning of Patel. Then again, the troll may not understand.
What about the congressional guard who murdered Ashli Babbit?
