Two House Democrats Join Republicans to Pass Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act
The act strips those who receive federal financial assistance if they allow a “male to participate in an athletic program or activity that is designated for women or girls.”
Texas Democrat Reps. Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzales voted with all Republicans to pass the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act.
H.R. 734 amended Section 901 of the Education Amendments of 1972 (20 U.S.C. 1681).
The act strips those who receive federal financial assistance if they allow a “male to participate in an athletic program or activity that is designated for women or girls.”
The act also defines the obvious. It’s beyond sad anyone has to define sex: “For the purposes of this subsection, sex shall be recognized based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth.”
Rep. Don Davis (D-NC) voted present.
Three Republicans did not vote: Rep. Diana Harshbarger (TN), Rep. Lisa McClain (MI), and Rep. Elise Stefanik (NY).
“This is a great day for women in America. House Republicans yet again stood up for women,” Speaker Mike Johnson said. “Today, the House voted to uphold common sense. We voted to require all schools receiving federal funds to uphold the original meaning of Title IX and keep biological men out of women’s sports. Last Congress, we also voted on this legislation. And not one Democrats joined us. The American people sent a clear message in November. They want a return to common sense, but Democrats are ignoring them.”
Fox News reported that House Minority Hakeem Jeffries wrote on BlueSky “that the law would ‘unleash horrific child predators on girls and young women.'”
Um, what? How? By keeping males who have been using the transgender movement to infiltrate sports not to just succeed in sports but prey on females?
AOC said that bigots love this bill. Okay, lady.

Not much. As per usual, it’s some irrelevant distraction.
I’ve always wondered why they need a long row of flags when one would do. Maybe each person behind the podium gets a flag for a close up photo op?
In ball games the point of the flags is to get the crowd to stop milling around, shut up and pay attention. Self-appointed enforcers take care of it. A similar plan with the pledge starting school days, if that’s still allowed. It’s doubtful that the pay attention effect is wanted in politician backdrops since the press cynically ignores everything. It’s more saying that “our entire lives are patriotic as we work for the country.”
What’s sad and appalling is that copious litigation and legislation are now needed to uphold girls’ and womens’ rights and privacy against the obnoxious and misogynistic invasions and predations of malignantly narcissistic male trannies.

The law should require people who play on sports as a woman undergo genetic testing to prove that they have XX chromosomes.
