Trump ‘Would Consider’ Returning U.S. to World Health Organization
Sometimes a break-up is necessary to improve a relationship.

As much as many people were happy with the news that President Donald Trump signed an executive order beginning the process of the country leaving the World Health Organization, that move may have been a gambit to a better deal for this nation.
During his Las Vegas rally over the weekend, Donald Trump said on Saturday he may consider rejoining the organization.
“Maybe we would consider doing it again, I don’t know. Maybe we would. They would have to clean it up,” Trump said at a rally in Las Vegas.
The U.S. is scheduled to leave the WHO on Jan. 22, 2026. Trump announced the move on Monday after he was sworn in for a second term in the White House.
The U.S. is by far the biggest financial backer of the WHO, contributing around 18% of its overall funding. The WHO’s most recent two-year budget, for 2024-2025, was $6.8 billion.
Trump told the crowd in Las Vegas he was unhappy that the U.S. paid more into the WHO than China, which has a much bigger population.

Many Americans are unhappy being the cash cow for a group of globalists who try to force their liberty-crushing bureaucracies on this nation. Many think that the WHO should rethink both its mission and budget.
Sometimes a break-up is necessary to improve a relationship.
According to Trump, the US has been getting a bad deal for quite some time, and he is applying his new relationship rules to several other organizations.
“We paid $500 million a year and China paid $39 million a year despite a much larger population. Think of that. China’s paying $39 million to have 1.4 billion people, we pay $500 million we have – no one knows what the hell we have, does anyone know? We have so many people pouring in we have no idea,” Trump told rally goers on Saturday.
“They offered me at $39 million, they said ‘We’ll let you back in for $39 million,’ they’re going to reduce it from [$500 million] to [$39 million], and I turned them down, because it became so popular I didn’t know if it would be well received even at [$39 million], but maybe we would consider doing it again, I don’t know, they have to clean it up a bit.”
…The president’s complaints about the U.S. paying too much to the WHO mirror his complaints about U.S. participation in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), as well. During the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, last week, Trump said he was asking all NATO nations to contribute 5% of their gross domestic products to NATO defense spending.
Stay tuned, as with Trump at the wheel, the twists and turns of deal-making can be hard to predict.

Like the rest of us, he should be more unhappy that the WHO was a major participant in COVID Kabuki theater.
Our return to WHO should be predicated on complete disclosure of WHO’s role in the whole COVID mess.
Personally, I objet to WHO’s very existence.
Seems like the WHO’s raison d’être is to grab money from its members. We’re better off without them.
Given WHO’s track record on the Wu-flu, I think the US should stay out.
Heads need to roll before our return.
I don’t want to belong to any organization that would have me for a member, nor any organization that has ‘world’ in its title.
C: Arrest Tedros NOW.
LOL. To do what??
That organization should be running on $50 million a year. Tops.
The WHO would do anything to have America as a member because the WHO is looking to gain many powers over its retarded membership, and in the United States’ case that would be “power that runs in contravention to our own law”.
The WHO is a toxic organization that the US should not join if they were paying us. Trump should keep with his initial instincts. Keep AMerica out of the WHO and keep the WHO far away from us.
How about no.
Nope. NOPE. NOPE.
How about we simply eschew the globalism and manage our own affairs? Instead of helping to meddle in everyone else’s? “Just say NO to
drugsglobalism!”” It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliance with any portion of the foreign world. ”

The U.S. re-joining WHO would be like:
a. The 13 colonies re-joining England in 1777
b. Rihanna going back to live with Chris Brown after he pushed her out of a car
c. Britney Spears letting her father take control of her assets
d. Inviting Ragspierre to re-join Legal Insurrection and abuse posters
Rags is here under different aliases..
If the UN is going to survive they will need the kind of housecleaning occuring here.
I like Trump, voted from him three times. He blows hot and cold. His instincts are mostly sound. His need to be loved by everyone ruins a lot of those sound instincts. As a person, Trump is a pragmatist. He has no principles. He’s no free market guy. He’s for winning. If winning means the government has to lean fascist, then fascist it will lean. Even his pragmatism is undermined by his colossal ignorance and his utter refusal to admit a mistake. Hope he does well. But going back into the WHO is flat out stupid. America doesn’t need the WHO. Well, America doesn’t need the UN, which should be moved to Nairobi.
I wish it was possible to both upvote and downvote.

Bipolar button, please!
Yes, halv was ok, half pure a$$.
I have dealt with a large number of high performing people, Trump stands out as exceptional.
The problem with WHO is not how much money we spend. The problem is that it is a globalist health care agency that does harm and does not help. It is anti-U.S. We should not consider returning because it is very bad for our health, not because of money.
I want the USA to spend a total of $1 per year to the entire UN (including WHO), no money to Foreign Countries, No money to NGOs or other groups until our US debt is gone. If we have to pay for specific projects to a foreign country such as handling transport of illegal aliens for us then I can see it if they were not part of the illegals original country but not otherwise.
