A reporter asked Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt why President Donald Trump didn’t notify organizations before ordering agencies to freeze funds.
Leavitt pointed out that it would have led to millions of tax money for stupid things like…$50 million for condoms in Gaza.
Leavitt said:
And this is, again, incredibly important to ensure that this administration is taking into consideration how hard the American people are working and their tax dollars actually matter to this administration.Just during this pause, DOGE and OMB [Office of Management and Budget] have actually found that there was $37 million that was about to go out the door to the World Health Organization, which is an organization as you all know, that President Trump, with the swipe of his pen in that executive order, doesn’t want the United States to be a part of. So that wouldn’t be in line with the president’s agenda.DOJ and OMB also found that there was about to be $50 million taxpayer dollars that went out the door to fund condoms in Gaza. That is a preposterous waste of taxpayer money. So that’s what this pause is focused on being good stewards of tax dollars.
I wonder how long America has given terrorist groups money for condoms.
We know former President Joe Biden’s administration gave Taliban-controlled Afghanistan $15 million for contraceptives and condoms.
It’s interesting because we’ve known for years that Hamas uses “explosive condoms” to attack Israel and Jews.
The Times of Israel reported on June 20, 2018:
For over two months, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been flying kites, birthday balloons and inflated latex condoms into Israel, relying on the gentle Mediterranean coastal breeze to push them across the border.Silly as they may sound, these weapons are no joke. Most of them carry metal mesh pouches containing a burning piece of coal or oil-soaked rag, which have sparked hundreds of fires in southern Israel, destroying thousands of acres of land and causing millions of shekels in damage.
Hamas has used regular balloons with “endearing or celebratory lines” and kites.
Vijeta wrote about Hamas attacking Israel with balloons in 2023.
Correction
There is confusion as to where the condoms were headed. They may have been headed to Mozambique.
