Newsom Complains About ‘Disinformation’ as Wildfires Destroy Los Angeles Area
Reminder: Newsom was focused on “Trump-proofing” the state instead of wildfire preparation.
On January 7th, the day before the fires began to rage in the Los Angeles area, the National Weather Service warned about the potential for historically high Santa Ana winds.
In fact, it used the term “life-threatening” to describe the situation.
The Southern California region is preparing for a “life-threatening and destructive windstorm” caused by strong Santa Ana winds Tuesday, weather officials say.
The National Weather Service has issued several warnings including a red flag warning and a high wind warning for parts of Los Angeles and Ventura counties. The NWS said there is an extreme risk of fire weather conditions.
Weather officials predict this weather event will “likely be the most destructive windstorm seen since 2011.” The last significant windstorm caused extensive damage to Pasadena and foothills in the San Gabriel Valley.
These winds are a regular occurrence. After two years of massive winter storms that ended California’s “drought status,” the fact that we had an arid winter should have inspired even more concern among state and regional officials.
Given the high level of risk to human lives and property, as well as the sacred “environment” progressives claim they love, a responsible governor might have prepared by rattling the local water officials to ensure reservoirs were full, lined up fire resources all around the city to quickly quench fires, warned residents to maker preparations for fire conditions and evacuations, and lined-up utility and extra fire-response resources close to the region and ready-to-go in the event disaster struck.
You know, like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis…but for fires rather than hurricanes.
Newsom is now being excoriated for failing to take the threat seriously and ignoring the decay of California’s water infrastructure (along with the state Assembly and Senate, also loaded with Democrats). I recently asserted that these fires have incinerated his chance for the presidency.
Now Newsom is whining to Biden about ‘disinformation’ regarding the fires and the incompetent response to the disaster…which is proof that he understands just how badly the asteroid-impact-scale devastation of the region has hurt his future.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom told President Joe Biden on Friday the country must address the “hurricane-force winds of mis- and disinformation” spreading about the fatal fires devastating the Los Angeles area.
During a White House briefing with Biden, the Democratic governor said fire crews and first responders have been forced to deal with falsehoods originating online about the conflagrations that have killed at least 10 people and destroyed more than 10,000 homes and other structures in the region.
“People want to divide this country,” Newsom said as he spoke to Biden remotely from Los Angeles over a video screen. “It breaks my heart as people are suffering and struggling that we’re up against those hurricane forces as well.”
Those fires are still burning, and most of them have little containment. In fact, a new fire has begun blazing.
The Archer fire had burned about three acres near the 17000 block of Sesnon Boulevard and was growing at a moderate speed, said fire officials. Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said the area was hit with erratic winds.
LAFD firefighters are on the scene along water-dropping aircraft. Officials said they were making progress.
It is burning west of the Hurst fire, which erupted in Sylmar earlier this week.
Newsom’s complaints are being met with disdain on social media.
Governor Newson already said that the inept response to the fires is the fault of the locals.
Incompetent public officials never hold themselves or anyone else accountable.
Unless they examine their failures and learn from them, history will repeat itself. And the citizens…

Ignore the neighborhoods of charred homes, fire hydrants with no water, and massive cuts to the fire department…it’s disinformation that’s the real problem here, says failed Gov Newsom 🤦🏻♂️

And the fact that Newsom was focused on “Trump-proofing” the state instead of wildfire preparation has been part of the successful information campaign against him.

Yesterday, famous cartoonist and entrepreneur Scott Adams popularized the term, “governor envy”.
My governor envy has never been higher. https://t.co/j1gRMBnkva

I have a terrible case of it, especially after Newsom whined about ‘disinformation.” In the era of X, this tactic will be as successful as lesbian fire chiefs are at dealing with massive wildfires using DEI tactics.

The disinformation is the idea that Newsome isn’t an incompetent retard. It’s all on him and that incompetent retard running Los Angeles because they knew the problems existed and they did absolutely nothing to mitigate it. The people who paid the taxes that unfortunately pay their salaries really should ask for a refund
Suppose your first opinion wasn’t to lie. Maybe you could get the facts out.
Apparently Gov. Noisome failed to notice that voters declined to accept the “…mis/dis-information’ card during the recent national election. He’s starting to panic ovrer the idea that he has turned into a male version of Her Majesty so far as his Prsidential ambition is concerned.
Our own “Trudeau” is now facing the music. There hasn’t been mis, mal, dis-information about the fire and its outcome. The only dis, mal, mis, is coming from Gruesome and Billy Bass.
The disinformation about Trump is a mile high. Newsom has dumped a lot of it himself, “I’m gonna Trump-proof California.” Then, due to his own negligence, his state catches fire. He grabs his magnifier and spots about 1/4 inch and cries, “Help! Help! I’m being attacked!”
