Schumer’s response? Doubling down.

“Look, we didn’t,” Schumer responded. “Let’s look at President Biden. He’s had an amazing record. The legislation we passed, one of the most significant groups of legislation since the New Deal, since Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society. Putting in 235 judges – a record.”
“He’s a patriot. He’s a great guy,” the top Senate Democrat went on. “And when he stepped down, he did it on his own because he thought it was better, not only for the Democratic Party, but for America. We should all salute him.”
But when pressed for the follow-up, the Senator “refuses to speculate.”
For a party grappling with the fallout of its own blind ambition, the question isn’t whether Americans feel misled by Schumer and company—it’s how long they’ll tolerate a political machine that refuses to admit its failures. Let’s repeat this interview after we get the final pardon list in a couple of weeks, indicating which of the contributors to this “amazing record” were perhaps not quite so amazing.
I keep asking myself, “How can these people get any nastier?” “How is it possible for them to keep telling bigger lies with each passing day?” “How can they do any more damage to the country than they already have?”

I’ve been a big Trump fan, and voted for him three times. His embrace of Musk and Ramaswamy, especially after Trump telling us he aways supported the H-1B program. Yeah sure. Trump support for visa programs to import foreign workers is nothing new. Trump has spoken out in the past about his support for H1B and other visa programs. In particular DJT has used H-2B visa for seasonal workers in his hotels/resorts. Employers can also import permanent workers from abroad by requesting a green card for a foreign worker applicant.
If y’all didn’t perform your basic due diligence to understand who Trump is and what he supports before he ran his 3rd Presidential campaign… that’s on you.

That said Trump is, as you say, not a conservative. Not in the 1980’s/1990’s sense. I voted for the guy in three general elections b/c he was the best choice.I am certainly not alone in that.
I will say that some of the ‘cult of personality’ sorts who demand MAGA ‘purity’ are likely gonna be disappointed with a second Trump admin precisely b/c DJT simply doesn’t hold the policy positions that some of these folks mistakenly attribute to him. We already see it with some MAGA and the artificial dust up about visa.
Every Democrat in Congress or as a governor that runs for re-election should be forced to answer the Biden competence question. For the next 4 years at least. Plus any supposed Presidential debate moderator should be confronted by Republican nominees to expose how biased and untrustworthy they are.
The solution is simple: Criminalize this collusion by politicos who blatantly deceive the electorate in order to egregiously interfere w/ elections for a scripted outcome, or it’s still just *clown world* where they’ll just REPEATEDLY do it during another election cycle.
