FLASHBACK 2020: Democrats, Media Lose Their Minds Over Preemptive Pardons

Will they scream and moan since Biden did it?

Right before he left office, FORMER President Joe Biden issued preemptive pardons for family members, Lizzy Cheney, Fauci, and others.

Back in 2020, the Democrats and their friends in the mainstream media lost their minds because they just knew President Donald Trump would issue preemptive pardons for his family before he left office in January 2021.

Yeah, that didn’t happen.

I wonder if we’ll hear these people scream and moan.

Serious question: If Biden’s DOJ declared Biden to be a frail old man, too demented to stand trial, wouldn’t that same declaration mean Biden is too demented to pardon anyone?

I think Trump’s DOJ should review and reverse everything Biden has done the previous 12 months.

As a test case, pick out one of the people Biden pardoned, charge them with a crime and prosecute. Let them take it to the Supreme Court, and Milhouse willing, we’ll find out if Joe’s pardons are worth the paper they’re written on.

Your point is on target. Is biden too frail of mind to answer to a criminal charge, or to be more specific, TREASON? Aiding our enemies, and particularly, taking $$$ for favours is actually treason.

With this same reasoning, he wouldn’t be of sound mind to sign ANY legal document, nest-ce pas? So how can the many and amazingly corrupt pardons he’s issued be of any value or to be taken in anything but jest.

If Biden’s DOJ declared Biden to be a frail old man, too demented to stand trial
It didn’t.

I really do enjoy seeing these historic photos from back oin the age where Joy Reid was black.

What’s hilarious is that the Democrats then went on to demonstrate exactly why a president might want to insulate his family members from “Trumped-up” lawfare charges.

Milhouse needs to give these silly Democrats a good talking to.

for what? They’re Democrats. Blaming them for being Democrats is like blaming a scorpion for being a scorpion.

I blame Republicans when they act like Democrats.

See: Burdick v. United States, 236 U.S. 79 (1915)

I’m sure Sen Adam Schiff will turn down a pardon from Joe Biden.

Burdick only said that there is a public perception that accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt. It did not endorse that perception.

I think there is a potential legal trap here. If they accept the pardon, they will essentially be admitting guilt. And once pardoned could be forced to testify to their actions.

If they decline the pardon and claim innocence it only takes one of the others to accept the pardon to put them in a very precarious position. Again, anyone who accepts the pardon can be forced to testify and those that passed on the pardon would be open to prosecution.

Since Biden extended pardons not only to the senators and congressional reps but also their staffs, it could be a functionary that turns and testifies against the others.

The hitch here is do the Republicans have enough guts to go through with it.
