FBI Investigating Threats Against SpaceX Launch Site
The launch site is located in Boca Chica, TX.
The FBI is investigating threats against SpaceX’s Starship launch site in Boca Chica, Texas, raising alarms about the safety of critical infrastructure essential to American innovation and leadership in space exploration. Under Elon Musk’s leadership, SpaceX has become a symbol of private sector ingenuity, driving advancements in technology while cutting through bureaucratic inefficiency.
Adding fuel to the fire is Musk’s connection to incoming President Donald Trump, whose administration is poised to reignite policies prioritizing America’s greatness over Biden’s lack of leadership. Musk, a staunch advocate for entrepreneurial freedom, previously worked with Trump during his first term, and their shared commitment to cutting red tape and empowering the private sector has left bureaucrats and naysayers scrambling.
More from the San Antonio Statesmen:
“While we are working to carefully vet and investigate the information we have received, we want to reiterate that the safety and security of the American people is the FBI’s highest concern,” the FBI statement said. “We will continue to work closely with our law enforcement and private sector partners to respond to this — and all threats against any of our citizens.”
This is not the first threat they have faced. The Statesmen continues:
The recent threats are at least the second bomb threat against Starbase. On Dec. 27, 2023, an unidentified person called in a bomb threat to the SpaceX facility from a Brownsville Police Department nonemergency phone line, according to the deputy’s report. In that incident, the suspect said, “the bomb was on a rocket, and then advised it was on a space ship.”
The threats against Starbase don’t seem random. They feel like a calculated strike against Musk’s success and willingness to work with incoming President Trump. This has painted a target on Elon’s back.

I think its time the left was declared a terrorist threat to the safety of the nation.
Start with your field offices, FBI. Your thugs or paid CI may be the culprits.
I would trust the Boca Chica Police Department before the FBI, or any Federal “law enforcement” agency. The last several years have completely destroyed the credibility of the FedGov.
The degree of difficulty in a place like Boca Chica, Texas will score you a lot of extra points IF you succeed in infiltrating the place.
Even if you’re smart enough to rent a pickup truck instead of a car so you blend in, if your ball cap ain’t from the local feed company you’re busted, and if your cowboy boots are new, hell, they’ll just shoot your ass first amd ask questions of your next of kin, later.
Musk’s next project needs to be armed security bots.
Wait… is that really a good idea?
Dubious legality on that one, so good thing Musk is on Trump’s good side in case he would need a pardon.
The original report on this sounded like it was either some foreign college students out to prank someone or some foreigners really bad at espionage.
Be nice if they can actually run these people down, so we can know.
That’s the impression I get too, that this is not some serious threat but rather someone playing a nasty little prank.
The fbi will get right on this investigation as soon as they find the J6 pipe bomber.
The FBI can’t manage them selves let alone the USA. Corrupt since founded and led by J. E. Hoover.
