Trump Meets World Leaders, Attends Reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral in France

The bromance between Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron is back!

President-elect Donald Trump met with world leaders before attending the reopening of the historic Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France.

Notre Dame Cathedral suffered a horrific fire five years ago.

So many people worked hard to restore the cathedral to its glorious Gothic architectural roots.

Trump privately met with French President Emmanuel Macron at Élysée Presidential Palace. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky later joined the two men.

Macron seemed happy to have Trump back in France. In fact, sources told Fox News that Macron invited Trump to the ceremony.

Macron was also the first world leader to congratulate Trump after he defeated VP Kamala Harris on November 5.

“It’s a great honor for French people to welcome you five years later,” Macron told Trump. “And you were, at that time, president for the first time. And I remember the solidarity and your immediate action. So, welcome back again. We are very happy to have you here.”

Macron and Trump have always been friendly. They have the best handshakes.

Trump also met with His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales.

Trump and Prince William shook hands at the U.K. ambassador’s residence in Paris after the ceremony, during which they held a private meeting.

Kensington Palace said the two men spoke about a wide range of issues, but mainly the strong relationship between the U.K. and America.

The best part, though? Trump greeting First Lady Jill Biden. My goodness, you know she voted for him. I swear deep down the Bidens are happy Trump won after what the Democrats did to President Joe Biden.

Trump sat in the front row in between Macron and his wife Brigitte.

I’m reading elsewhere that the professional snivelers are complaining about the fact he didn’t. Instead, go to the 80th anniversary of Pearl harbor’s bombing by attending the Arizona memorial. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Nothing is being said about the fact that President Biden isn’t going.

“Nothing is being said about the fact that President Biden isn’t going.”
DW read a report saying that Biden could not attend because of a “previous engagement.”
Yeah, with a Koala Kare table.

Kind of an unusual, remarkable visit. As president-elect, presidents have sometimes visited our immediate neighbors in the lame-duck session. Reagan traveled to Mexico shortly before taking office and Obama traveled to Canada. Eisenhower made a very famous trip to South Korea, something he talked about doing during the campaign. There used to be a display in the Smithsonian about that specific trip, it was so unique. While this isn’t a precedential trip, it still feels even different than what previous presidents-elect have done. In a lot of ways, Trump really is the de facto president right now and this event really highlights it.

What?!? They didn’t sit him in the back row? How… odd.

Macron is simply trying to hold onto his job

“Find you someone who looks at you like Jill Biden looks at Trump”
Watch out, Don, she’s a homewrecker.

There’s something parodic about “world leaders,” the way Fred Hoyle’s science fiction would have world experts gather in London to solve some astrophysical threat problem.

Right off the bat, it’s a positive to have a U.S. president who can interact with other countries’ leaders with full cognition, who can ambulate unassisted, and, who has full control of his bowels.
