All politicians lie from time to time, but the Democrats have elevated it to an art form. They understand that if a lie is repeated often enough, it gains traction, and most people will eventually believe it. They’ve also learned that the most effective lies are the ones that are the most difficult to disprove, such as their insistence in 2016 that President-elect Donald Trump was an agent of Russia.
The Russian collusion narrative was a stunning success for the Democrats, creating endless challenges for candidate and eventually President Trump. Buoyed by its effectiveness, party operatives felt emboldened, pushing them to concoct even bigger and bolder lies.
When former Vice President Joe Biden entered the race for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, the party quickly rallied behind him, convinced he was their best chance to defeat Trump. It was evident, however, that Biden had changed during his time out of the spotlight. He had slowed down, struggled to speak without a teleprompter, slurred his words, and frequently lost his train of thought. While Republicans and foreigners recognized the early signs of cognitive decline, Biden’s handlers worked tirelessly to cover it up.
Four years later, Biden’s cognitive lapses have become too big to hide. Yet the party continued to insist he was fully compos mentis, a vital trait for any world leader. Their carefully constructed narrative came crashing down during a late-June debate in Atlanta, Georgia, when the truth was laid bare. In that moment, the leader of the free world was exposed as a senile, doddering old man, shattering the illusion his party had tried so hard to maintain. No amount of spin could save the situation.
The electorate was horrified by Biden’s frail physical condition, his incoherence, and his vacant, slack-jawed stares during the debate. And Democratic politicians and pundits, the same ones who have assured voters for years that Biden was “sharp as a tack,” were finally forced to admit the truth: The president was not fit to serve.
But Biden’s candidacy wasn’t the only casualty of the debate. Among the wounded were First Lady Jill Biden, every member of the president’s inner circle, Democratic members of Congress (except for Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN), who challenged Biden in the Democratic primary because of his age), Biden’s personal physician, and the legacy media, which has become the party’s Praetorian Guard. Each one of these individuals was willing to vouch for Biden’s mental competence and physical stamina, knowing full well that he is a senile man in physical decline. They are all complicit in a massive fraud against the American electorate.
The X account @EndWokeness compiled a montage showcasing top Democrats lying through their teeth to convince voters that not only was Biden cognitively fit, but that they struggled to keep up with him.
The first clip features White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre caught off guard when CNN’s Don Lemon asks if Biden has the stamina to remain in office beyond 2024. Laughing, she replies that she herself can’t keep up with him.
Next, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas appears on Meet the Press and states, “The most difficult part about a meeting with President Biden is preparing for it. He is sharp, intensely probing, detail-oriented, and focused.”
And, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi tells CNN’s Anderson Cooper, “Biden has vision, he has knowledge, he has (sic) strategic thinker.”
And so it goes—lie after shameless lie. They should have chosen a lie that was harder to disprove.
In the following clip, a panel of liberals on CBS News show “Face the Nation” identifies Biden’s obvious decline as “the most underreported story of the year.” In perhaps one of the most tone-deaf comments of the year, Jan Crawford, the network’s chief legal correspondent, tells colleagues, “That would be, to me, Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline that became undeniable in the televised debate.”
“And, it’s starting to emerge now that his advisers kind of managed his limitations [as] reported in the Wall Street Journal, for four years,” she says with a straight face.
“Yet he insisted that he could still run for president. We should have much more forcefully questioned whether he was fit for office for another four years. Which could have led to a primary for the Democrats. It could have changed the scope of the entire election.”
The story in the Wall Street Journal was interesting, yes, because it provided specifics. But it was hardly new news to anyone who covers politics for a living. Crawford was simply trying to shield herself from blame for her part in perpetuating the lie.
Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) sums up the Democrats’ hypocrisy perfectly in the tweet below:
