Prime Minister Netanyahu: “The Houthis will also learn what Hamas, Hezbollah, the Assad regime and others have learned.”
As Jews and Christians in the Holy Land observe the festivals of Hannukah and Christmas, respectively, the Iran-backed Houthi terror group continued its aerial attack against Israel unabated. Overnight, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) intercepted a Houthi missile heading towards the country’s airspace, and a drone from Yemen on Wednesday afternoon landed near the Gaza border.

“A missile launched by the Houthis was launched at Israel overnight for the fourth time in a week,” the Israeli TV channel i24NEWS reported Wednesday morning. “The Israel Defense Forces said that it had been intercepted, adding that sirens were triggered across central Israel in accordance with protocol to prevent injuries from falling fragments.”
“Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago, a missile that was launched from Yemen was intercepted before crossing into Israeli territory,” the IDF said in a statement early morning Wednesday. “Sirens regarding rocket and missile launches were activated due to the possibility of falling shrapnel from the interception.”

A Houthi drone entered the Israeli airspace but crashed in an open field, the IDF disclosed. “The Houthis in Yemen launched a drone that crossed into Israeli territory, and crashed in an open area near the Gaza border,” The Jerusalem Post reported Wednesday afternoon, citing Israeli military sources.
The Iranian terror proxy claimed firing two drones at Israel. “The Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen have taken responsibility for a drone that crashed near Ashkelon this evening,” The Times of Israel reported. “In a statement, the Houthis claim to have launched two drones at Israel, one at a “vital and sensitive target” in the Tel Aviv area, and the other at Ashkelon’s industrial zone.”
The Yemeni terrorist group fired some 400 missiles and drones at Israel since the October 7 massacre. The Iranian proxy has been trying to impose an embargo on Israel by attacking and hijacking commercial ships in the Red Sea.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to teach Houthis a lesson for their continued campaign of terror against Israel, the news website YNET reported Wednesday evening:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the lighting of the first candle in his office in Jerusalem: “The Houthis will also learn what Hamas, Hezbollah, the Assad regime and others have learned, and this will also take time. This lesson will be learned across the Middle East, I tell you, in those days at this season.”
