Covid “Expert” Dr. Leana Wen Trotted Out to Promote More Bird Flu Scare

Covid “Expert” Dr. Leana Wen Trotted Out to Promote More Bird Flu Scare

The mainstream media is trying to get the “covid team” back together, and Americans are having none of it.

Reviewing all the COVID pandemic coverage at Legal Insurrection, it would be hard to name the top morally righteous COVID-absolutist.

But if one were to create a list, near the top would have to be The Washington Post columnist and CNN medical analyst Dr. Leana Wen. Who could forget her demand that rights and privileges enjoyed by Americans be explicitly tied to getting the COVID-19 vaccine during the mandate push to autumn 2021?

“That if you wish to have these privileges, you need to get vaccinated.

Travel, and having the right to travel in our state, it’s not a constitutional right as far as I know to board a plane, and so saying that you want to stay unvaccinated, that is your choice, but if you want to travel, you better go get that vaccine.”

Well, she’s back at it again, this time trying to create enthusiasm for the bird flu vaccine. She recently appeared on the CBS show Face the Nation and pushed the Biden administration to authorize the H5N1 vaccine (given the substantial likelihood it would not be enthusiastically greeted by the Trump Team).

There actually is a vaccine developed already against H5N1. The Biden administration has contracted with manufacturers to make almost 5 million doses of the vaccine.

However, they have not asked the FDA to authorize the vaccine. There’s research done on it. They could get this authorized now, and also get the vaccine out so- and to farm workers and to vulnerable people.

I think that’s the right approach, because we don’t know what the Trump administration is going to be doing around bird flu. If they have people coming in with anti-vaccine stances, could they hold up vaccine authorization?

If they don’t want to know how much bird flu is out there, could they withhold testing? I mean, that’s a possibility, and I think the Biden administration in the remaining days should get testing and vaccines widely available so that at least it empowers state and local health officials and clinicians to do the right thing for their patients.

It’s like they are getting the pandemic team back together, as the media recently trotted out Dr. Deborah Birx. However, this time, social media and our memories mean that the American public is not receptive to any promoted policies.

The social media comments have been brutal, and there is no coordinated government-media effort to silence the dissent.

Congressman Derrick Van Orden (R-WI) quickly criticized her suggestion.

And Congressman James Spillane (R-NH) pushed back on Wen’s statements.

It must be noted that there are mRNA vaccines for H5N1 are in development.

Several H5N1 vaccines currently in development are mRNA-based. Moderna is developing an mRNA-based H5N1 avian influenza vaccine, which has received $176 million in funding from the US Department of Health and Human Services. The vaccine is in early clinical development, with Phase 1 trial data expected later this year and Phase 3 trials projected to start in 2025.

Additionally, a self-amplifying mRNA vaccine candidate has received FDA approval to begin Phase 1 trials in the US.

It appears that the more the vaccines currently being used are the more traditional antigen-based vaccines, and public health officials are considering the longevity of others in a stockpile for use during a pandemic.

Though federal health officials are moving ahead with a plan to produce 4.8 million doses of H5N1 avian influenza vaccine that targets the clade (strain) circulating globally and infecting US dairy herds and some farm workers, older H5N1 vaccines in the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) might be useful in a pinch.

A team led by researchers from the US Food and Drug Administration looked at the ability of three H5N1 vaccines targeting three earlier H5N1 clades from Indonesia and Vietnam that circulated in the early 2000s to neutralize antibodies against the current 2.3.4.4b clade. All three are already licensed and are in the SNS. Two are adjuvanted, meaning they contain an immune-boosting substance.

So, I am not sure which vaccine Biden’s FDA needs to authorize, considering one is available already and we have a stockpile of others in a pinch.

Wen faced the nation today, and has been repudiated.

As a country, our best move is to allow our agriculture and veterinary experts to address this situation and be mindful of sensible personal protocols to take during flu season.

Every time they trot out another one of these HoF level Covid Karens they add to the obstacle of wider public acceptance. These Covid Karens are discredited b/c they lied about the available data, made other things up, massaged the numbers and went totalitarian when their propaganda efforts were resisted.

Leana Wen is boarded in emergency medicine, not in infectious diseases or critical care. I am board certified both in infectious diseases and critical care medicine and don’t have the political axes to grind that Leana does. Nor do i have to satisfy some Board of Directors or some investment positions like her stock options like she must have. My question to her is how biotech or pharma could possibly have 5 million doses of H5N1 avian influenza (bird flu) human vax doses, when there is *ZERO* longitudinal data to support either efficacy or safety to issue either an emergency use or regular approval authorization in the United States just based on weak-a$$ed recommendation? Been down THIS road before, and it didn’t end well. The COVID19 vaccinations did not work as intended, and the goal posts had to be moved (remember the definition of vaccine had literally to be changed) to define the endpoints as being met so the registration studies could meet their endpoints so the products could be authorized for sale. I would NOT subject my patients to that risk to prove her stupid theories.

Every time these so called “medical experts” come on tv they should be forced to reveal which big pharma company they have worked at, which one they currently work for, which one will they will sit on as an “advisor”, their stock portfolio and any and all junkets paid for by big pharma. Until that happens, none of these “experts” should be on tv.

Has to be one of the big vaccine producers. Only they have the capital necessary to scale up a production line necessary to produce 5 million doses that would meet FDA GMP standards. That would be Pfizer, Moderna, Sanofi, etc.

Sure I better run down tomorrow to get my Bird Flu shot.
Oh wait, never got the Fake Vax or yearly flu shot so what’s the hurry?

I seriously doubt a Bird Flu human pandemic is going to happen, because a pandemic requires a virus that can be transmitted asymptomatically or from someone with very minor symptoms like sniffles, sore throat, or sinus irritation that don’t get in the way of normal function. All Bird Flues cause extreme eye irritation in humans because the receptors on our eyeballs are of the same type as a bird’s respiratory tract. If you have seen pictures of a person’s bloody eyes with Bird Flu, it is pretty obvious that person can’t see worth a damm, and if you can’t see, you can’t function in society well enough to spread anything. You are stuck at home until you recover. In fact, this may be the evolutionary reason why we have bird-like receptors on our eyeballs – it limits the ability of people to spread bird flues to other people.

They may be able to get the band back together to do another pandemic, but it won’t be Bird Flu, for the reason I stated above. It will have to be something else, perhaps another coronavirus cooked up in a lab, or a really nasty bug like Nipah – one that does have the ability to spread asymptomatically.

My comment is absolutely ethnically nasty. So, please stop here if you don’t want to see it.

STOP trotting out these Chinese “Expert” parasites who supported the spread of COVID-19 like the murderers they are.

Not one of these experts of Chinese origin will say anything that will convince me that aren’t on the payroll of the CCP or Big Pharma.

Of course Representative Swallows and his pin cushion Fang Fang were not available for comment.

Oh noes, the nation is in dreadful peril of bird flu irritated eyes, which isn’t easily contracted even by people who work with infected animals daily and has never been passed human-to-human.

The sheer effort these pandempaniic lovers are putting into hyping this is positively heroic., saving us from a disease which virtually no one has gotten and which has not caused even a single death (yes, yes, an elderly person with multiple co-morbidities passed while testing positive, blah blah).

I am amazed that this chick isn’t too embarrassed to show her dumb face in public, let alone trying to instruct people on anything. People with this lack of shame or integrity – which includes the entire democrat party – are signs of one of the most serious failings and weaknesses of today’s society.

Just an FYI. James Spillane is a State rep, not a member of Congress. We’re stuck with Democrats on the federal level.

The United States clearly needs, and deserves, better “experts”!

    Under what rubric?
If things worked that way, you would be unable to name one public advocate for gun control. Instead, they are in the Rolodexes of journalists worldwide.
