Trump Nominates Scott Bessent for Treasury Secretary

But I thought Trump hates gays? Bessent, CEO of Key Square Group, is openly gay, married, and has two children.

President-elect Donald Trump nominated Scott Bessent, founder and CEO of Key Square Group, as Secretary of Treasury.

Bessent also served as a key economic policy adviser for Trump’s campaign.

Trump wrote:

Scott has long been a strong advocate of the America First Agenda. On the eve of our Great Country’s 250th Anniversary, he will help me usher in a new Golden Age for the United States, as we fortify our position as the World’s leading Economy, Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurialism, Destination for Capital, while always, and without question, maintaining the U.S. Dollar as the Reserve Currency of the World. Unlike in past Administrations, we will ensure that no Americans will be left behind in the next and Greatest Economic Boom, and Scott will lead that effort for me, and the Great People of the United States of America.

My Administration will restore Freedom, Strength, Resilience, and Efficiency to our Capital Markets. We will reinvigorate the Private Sector, and help curb the unsustainable path of Federal Debt. As a lifelong Champion of Main Street America and American Industry, Scott will support my Policies that will drive U.S. Competitiveness, and stop unfair Trade imbalances, work to create an Economy that places Growth at the forefront, especially through our coming World Energy Dominance. Together, we will Make America Rich Again, Prosperous Again, Affordable Again, and, most importantly, Great Again!

Wait a second.

Isn’t Trump a homophobe? Doesn’t he want to round them up and put them in camps?

Then…then why did he just appoint an openly gay man to lead the Treasury?

Bessent is married to John Freeman, a former New York City prosecutor. They have two children.

Anyway, Bassent founded Key Square Group in 2015. George Soros gave the group $2 billion at that time.

However!

Key Square’s assets hit $5.1 billion in 2017. The group returned the Soros money then as well.

Is George Soros or is he not richer because of the job George Soros hired that man to do?

George Soros pays X to do a job does not mean X is George Soros.

You seem to have lost all sense of shame since Tucker came out as what he really is.

No George Soros is not Hitler, and accepting a non-political job from him is not disqualifying.

Trump wants qualified professionals who know what they are doing with money because he has been given a sacred trust by voters.

If you want to discuss Nazis lets start with Tucker Carlson.

Tucker Carlson is actively hostile, interrupts, attacks and makes demeaning faces and laughs in the faces of people he disagrees with, and if you go off a pre-arranged script he loses his shit (just watch his interview with a Dutch Historian when he went bat bleep entirely because he was called a millionaire funded by billionaires and asked how he is different from aoc in that way).

Because he only has people on he agrees with to discuss the areas he agrees with them on (confirmed by social scientists who he wanted on but couldn’t get because they wouldn’t agree to censor themselves and Konstantin Kisin) when he has on a neo-Nazi to deny the Holocaust, and claim Churchill was the main villain while regurgitating David Irvings claims……

You have not denounced neo-Nazi Tucker Carlson which makes you unfit to ever compare anyone to Hitler period.

As expected.

He is not married. No matter what Definition of marriage is a Man and a Woman. Don’t use the language of the Left.

Well this is further evidence Trump isn’t a Conservative, but only the Left possibly considers him so.

For hiring an extremely accomplished money man to handle money matters???

I was one of the people who wanted a different nominee, I proudly voted for Trump in general and would do so again in a second. Yes he is a conservative whatever issue you don’t agree with him on.

3 bad picks in one day

At least Obama pretends he’s straight.

I’m not impressed. Trump was doing so well and now this globalist Soros dud on top of those to ladies who both suck. What is going on all of a sudden? If Trump thinks he is going to build bridges with the other side by doing this someone needs to shake him up and tell him the left doesn’t want a bridge.

This guy has been talking about the virtues of using tariffs to fund the Federal gov’t and discussing how to hammer remittances by illegal aliens back home.

Those foreign remittances to Mexico is the hammer Trump can use for make Mexico play ball. Over 5% of Mexico’s GDP are from this source. Remove it and there will a severe economic crisis south of the border. Couple it with a crackdown on illegal immigration and I think the current government would be thrown out of office.

So Trump’s hard-nosed meritocracy has room for gays, women and POCs?
Who knew???

It seems the idea that “poor kids are just as bright as white kids” is actually taken as an axiom by the Conservative Right, instead of merely being a condescending shibboleth, as it is on the Radical Left.
