Rep. Nancy Mace’s Resolution Bans Trans Women From Women Only Areas at Capital

Rep. Nancy Mace’s Resolution Bans Trans Women From Women Only Areas at Capital

“Prohibiting Members, officers, and employees of the House from using single-sex facilities other than those corresponding to their biological sex, and for other purposes.”

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) filed a resolution to ban males from the female bathrooms at the Capital building.

Actually, the resolution would make it official that people have to use facilities according to their biological sex.

Congress will get its first transgender lawmaker in January when Rep.-elect Sarah McBride (D-DE) is sworn in.

The resolution states:

Prohibiting Members, officers, and employees of the House from using single-sex facilities other than those corresponding to their biological sex, and for other purposes.

Whereas allowing biological males into single-sex facilities, such as restrooms, locker rooms, and changing rooms designed for women, jeopardizes the safety and dignity of Members, officers, and employees of the House who are female:

Here’s the thing. Have you seen McBride? If McBride had never said anything, one could have assumed he was a female. I honestly wouldn’t think twice if I saw McBride in the restroom unless I stopped and took a long look. Otherwise, just passing by, I would not know.

In fact, all the transexuals (which they prefer to be called) I’ve befriended on X have all taken the steps to look female. They’ve only come out because of the trans activists. They just want to be left alone, but they felt the need to come out due to all the nonsense, especially since the activists have dragged children into it.

Now, it’s important to remember that each representative and senator has a bathroom in their office.

But people aren’t reading the resolution because Mace includes only female spaces. THAT fact is important.

Of course, Mace has attracted criticism. It’s always lovely when men tell females what our priorities should be.

Rep. Joe Morelle (D-NY) shamed us females who don’t want males in our spaces. Plus, he knows what makes a woman:

Zoom in: Despite Jeffries’ demurral, his top Democrat on the House Administration Committee, Rep. Joe Morelle (D-N.Y.), pushed back hard.

  • “I think we have a lot of problems in America, I don’t think spending time worrying about the restrooms is an order of priority here. I think Nancy Mace should focus on other things,” Morelle said.
  • He added of McBride: “She’s a woman. She should use the ladies room.”

How dare Mace look out for a female’s privacy.

Mace shot back at her critics: “As a victim of abuse, I know firsthand women are vulnerable; and I will stand in the way of anyone who violates our rights or who wants to set us back 100 years.”

Also, a female has XX chromosomes. It comes down to the chromosomes. My breasts, reproductive system, makeup, and clothes do not make me a female.

Nice idea, but who is going to check to separate the trans ones from the real ones?

The first woman to graduate from The Citadel, where she wasn’t wanted, telling somebody else where they aren’t wanted is peak irony.

If one were actually related to the other. But please continue to tell us how you want men in women spaces without actually telling us.

      Grey_Man in reply to NotCoach. | November 19, 2024 at 11:34 am

Concluding that somebody wants men in women’s spaces because they point out obvious hypocrisy is retarded.

It’s bemusing that somebody who benefited from invading a men’s only space is against a man invading a woman’s only space.

But I guess the slippery slope isn’t real.

Dolce Far Niente in reply to Grey_Man. | November 19, 2024 at 12:05 pm

Whether a military school should be coed is not the same issue as males being allowed to invade an extremely private female area. Women rarely get undressed in a restroom, but they can and will if necessary; this is only possible in a women-only space.

The only similarity in your example is using the courts to force compliance.

It might not be the same thing, but it is a fight along the same continuum. We would not be here without the Progressive victory there.

The idea of allowing women into The Citadel and VMI was part of the push to break down the barriers between men and women, to make their biological differences mere trifles. This leads to women pretending to be men, and the lowering of standards. Which then leads to “gender is just a construct.” And now men are pretending to be women.

“Anything you can do I can do better,” sang Annie Oakley*. It was dumb then, and it’s dumb now. It’s just that it makes women mad when men do “woman” better than they do. (When doing “woman” as the feminists envision it, anyway.)

(In Annie Get Your Gun. I don’t know if the real woman was that arrogant a feminist, or not.)

          GWB,

These are two completely different issues.

One was that biological women were excluded from something based solely on the fact they were women.

The other is allowing biological men access to biological women’s safe spaces where biological men with severe mental health issues should not ever step in to.

Also the reason biological men with severe mental health disorders SHOULD be barred from biological women’s safe spaces is exactly because they are a physical threat to biological women’s safety.

This didn’t apply to women being barred from military establishments as clearly biological women are not a physical threat to biological men.

        NotCoach in reply to Grey_Man. | November 19, 2024 at 12:33 pm

That’s it, keep telling us you want men in women’s spaces while comparing apples to oranges.

I don’t think she was pretending to be a man when she was at The Citadel.

    There’s the difference.

CommoChief in reply to nordic prince. | November 19, 2024 at 12:50 pm

      Agreed.

The Citadel had the option to stand on principle by refusing to accept Federal and State funding and to end their ROTC program. As a fully private College they could probably continue their male only tradition.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair in reply to nordic prince. | November 19, 2024 at 1:39 pm

She was pretending to be a potential warrior.

Women have no place in the combat military. Any society that sacrifices its women for combat (which is a total waste, to begin with) is not long for this world.

I generally agree, though assuming that all women have equal (or in some cases, any) evolutionary value to a society is overly generous.

By all means, argue again for why women should not be allowed to vote in America. That is what you really want.

DSHornet in reply to henrybowman. | November 20, 2024 at 10:53 am

          JR,

It’s obvious to anyone with a brain that a society can lose 10 percent of its male population without affecting its future population levels because a male can impregnate many females. But if a society loses 10 percent of its females then maintaining its population becomes more difficult because that level of child bearing takes a hit.

You can’t be this stu … Oh, wait, you certainly can.
          .

I agree – women in combat is a disastrous idea. Her “pretending to be a warrior” is something The Citadel went along with.

But she wasn’t pretending to be a male warrior.

Israel does and I agree, we can’t just send our so sons to war

Milhouse in reply to gonzotx. | November 19, 2024 at 4:20 pm

The IDF didn’t put women in combat roles until recently, when the judiciary and JAG got all woke and forced it. There are still many male-only units, which the courts and the JAG hate and have declared illegal, but the IDF is dragging its feet because it knows that if it obeys them huge numbers of its best combat troops will refuse to serve.

Define ‘combat’. If you mean infantry then I agree. If you mean in any MOS that may deploy to a combat theater then I disagree. Plenty of combat support roles that women can fill and in doing so free up a male body to go to the Infantry.

Then there’s the Intel missions and developing HUMIT sources or conducting searches and detention of female prisoners. There’s a whole wide array of functions woman can perform and a few of them more effectively than men.

Either we treat women as equally by granting equal rights AND equal responsibilities as Citizens and potential military service is one of them IMO or make the case for 2nd class status.

    guyjones in reply to Grey_Man. | November 19, 2024 at 1:28 pm

Schools vs. women’s bathrooms. See if you can spot the distinction. It’s not that hard. Your attempted analogy is woefully inapposite and fails.

What? They want to keep men out of the room where women go to pee? Either:

That policy is absolutely crazy

or

Men who want to be in the same room where women pee are crazy

Dolce Far Niente | November 19, 2024 at 11:13 am

“My breasts, reproductive system, makeup, and clothes do not make me a female.” Well, your reproductive system really does; the size of your breasts and clothing certainly does not.

The very best that men who want to look like women can do is mimic. Occasionally that mimicry is good enough to fool the eye but it’s still a Halloween costume.

It is not only deeply disrespectful but also deliberately ignorant to insist that his Halloween costume makes him exactly like me.

“Here’s the thing. Have you seen McBride? If McBride had never said anything, one could have assumed he was a female. I honestly wouldn’t think twice if I saw McBride in the restroom unless I stopped and took a long look. Otherwise, just passing by, I would not know.”

Jesus, what a ridiculous argument. I was actually attacked in a women’s restroom by a male in college

They are always stronger, I don’t care that some girly men look like women

They are not!

The pervert that attacked me was small and not very tall, so what

Ridiculous!!!

ahad haamoratsim in reply to gonzotx. | November 19, 2024 at 11:49 am

I don’t understand why the policy doesn’t mention guests and invitees.

For the same reason that the statement that “any law named after a victim is a bad law” is generally true. Two weeks after the first federal trans legislator is elected, this policy emerges. You just KNOW it has been well thought out,

henrybowman in reply to henrybowman. | November 22, 2024 at 12:09 pm

And on this topic, the newest example:

“If you use non-rechargeable hearing devices, you may have noticed changes to the packaging of traditional hearing aid batteries. This update stems from Reese’s Law, passed in 2022 after a tragic incident in which a child swallowed a button cell battery. The law introduced new safety standards for battery packaging, which took effect this year. While these changes are designed to be child-proof, many patients have found the new packaging to be nearly adult-proof as well.
We’ve seen a rise in concerns, particularly from individuals with dexterity challenges, neuropathy, or larger hands, as the packaging can be difficult to handle. Unfortunately, these packaging standards are unlikely to change in the foreseeable future.”

(In other words, thousands and thousands of seniors.)

Probably because the House has no authority over those.

Men with mental health issues are the last people who should be allowed anywhere near real women!

It is not a woman it is an it

Here’s a possible compromise: Perhaps Delaware residents should have their own separate bathroom, and be required to use it, exclusively. So, public bathrooms would henceforth be labeled “Women”, “Men” and “Delawoke.”

On a related note . . .

Does anyone else see Kaitlan Collins’ face as being masculine?

Thankfully this issue is a winner for Trump and Republicans. We must reject this Orwellian assault on women. Democrats have become Big Brother. Demanding we deny common sense and reality. Is there anything more misogynistic than demanding men replace women, invade and conquer their spaces, and steal their futures by taking their places on sports teams?

Mary I’m guessing if you were in a ladies restroom with this 6ft plus guy you probably would look twice and also probably get the hell out of there just to be on the safe side..,

They have yet to figure out a way to swap the pelvic bone. So no matter how much lipstick they are wearing the gender differences in pelvic motion is a dead giveaway to their sex at birth.

I just saw a play where a fake female (the brochure used “they” pronouns) in the role of a genuine woman.

The fake female could have been a high school football team’s center.

To be fair, Will Shakespeare dealt with this same issue. Especially in his comedies where his main characters were themselves cross-dressing.

John Lithgow in The World According to Garp.

Thank you representative Mace. In MN – we have trans in the legislature. This is so wrong for kids to see. The damage done to their world is something we do not know.

Basics are key – are there always exceptions but not along the trans line. A very, very, very few but the impact they are having on education is off the charts. Why? Are people so scared or forced into the “love thy neighbor” that they are cowards and won’t fight?

One can love your neighbor but one does NOT have to agree with them.
Parallel: One can forgive the person who hurt them but trust is another level.

Sarah, whose appearance is that of a homely female, just wants to swing his package in the ladies room. What could go wrong?

Trans woman means biological woman pretending to be a man, to me. I bet that’s a common generalization from a knowledge of English. The trans is the pretending to be other part, and woman is what she was, so now she’s pretending to be a man.

Adj-noun. The noun stays put. Tall woman, smart woman.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair in reply to rhhardin. | November 19, 2024 at 2:00 pm

The left is trying to pervert the old term “tomboy”.

This is akin to their perversion of intent for a crime to bleed into “motivation” for the crime, and hence “hate-crime”. It’s a bastardization that is only a minor perturbation of a standard concept that the left hopes most people won’t notice, though it is a seismic shift in meaning and operation that takes a concept with no history of any sort and makes pretend it has been an accepted part of the culture all along.

henrybowman in reply to rhhardin. | November 19, 2024 at 2:16 pm

I was always confused until someone mentioned the rule of thumb was to replace trans with fake, and since then I can now sail through all these coy MSM essays..

A “trans ‘woman’ ” is a malignantly narcissistic, obnoxiously misogynist and mentally disturbed man. Let’s call things as they plainly are.

The entire “trans” phenomenon of men cosplaying as alleged women is and should be considered as offensive as a non-black person putting on blackface.

rhhardin in reply to guyjones. | November 19, 2024 at 2:12 pm

    There’s nothing wrong with blackface.

guyjones in reply to rhhardin. | November 19, 2024 at 2:16 pm

Go to your next job interview dressed in blackface and see how that goes, if there’s nothing wrong with it.

Milhouse in reply to guyjones. | November 19, 2024 at 4:35 pm

That it won’t go well doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with it. In any case, job interviews are not an appropriate occasion for costuming, unless the job is in the theater or the like.

guyjones in reply to Milhouse. | November 19, 2024 at 8:08 pm

A matter of opinion. Mine is that we’re at a point where dressing in blackface is widely recognized as being in poor taste and culturally insensitive. This isn’t about politics; it’s about basic tact and common sense.

I honestly wouldn’t think twice if I saw McBride in the restroom unless I stopped and took a long look.
Unless she was using the urinal.

“If McBride had never said anything, one could have assumed he was a female.”

Nope. That’s a dude.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair | November 19, 2024 at 1:41 pm

Mike Johnson stepped all over his d**k on this. He was asked, straight-forward, if the trannie guy is a “man” and he could not answer. Absolutely pathetic cowardice.

Johnson is working hard to insure that he is thrown out of the Speakership – which he should be. We need someone in that position who is not afraid of stating the simplest truths of reality.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair | November 19, 2024 at 1:46 pm

I honestly wouldn’t think twice if I saw McBride in the restroom unless I stopped and took a long look.

You’re kidding, right?

At best, you feel that something is off and then take a good look, at which point you would assume that he’s a guy. Of course, if he grabbed your wrist, say, then you would know in a second that it’s a guy.

What you are really trying to say is that if he passed you on a crowded sidewalk in Manhattan, while you are on the lookout for machete-wielding Biden invaders, you might not notice he’s a guy. In almost every other circumstance you would get a weird feeling about him, if not outright realize that he’s a guy parading around as a girl.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair | November 19, 2024 at 2:48 pm

Interesting … cannot find this guy’s, McBride’s, real name. Scrubbed from everywhere – except that the National Women’s Historical Museum (or something like that) said that he was “Beau Biden’s ‘body man’ (driver and aide)”.

it’s also interesting that it seems impossible to find out his height.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair | November 19, 2024 at 2:54 pm

In fact, all the transexuals (which they prefer to be called) I’ve befriended on X have all taken the steps to look female. They’ve only come out because of the trans activists

If any of them do a good enough job pretending to be a woman (or having been surgically altered) that he fools a guy in a bar who tries to pick him up then that trannie had better be prepared for a violent reaction when the truth finally spills out or is realized. This is one of the worst deceptions that one can pull on another.

So, who are they pretending for, really?

    For themselves.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair in reply to Milhouse. | November 19, 2024 at 5:33 pm

Then it would be private. But this is specifically all for public consumption.

Do you actually know any “trans” people? Or are you merely describing some goblin in your imagination? Those of us who know actual such people can better answer what motivates them.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair in reply to Milhouse. | November 19, 2024 at 8:08 pm

I don’t care how many trannies you know, you really cannot answer what truly motivates someone else. It is the height of arrogance to even make that claim – especially about a strangely disturbed group like men who want to pretend they’re women.

And it is most certainly a public issue for them. They are not just getting dressed up in bras and panties by themselves, looking in the mirror. They are going out onto the street to try and fool society into thinking they are women (or getting off on the idea that everyone knows they’re men just trying to pretend they’re women).

They might take these odd actions for a lot of reasons, but it is most certainly NOT “for themselves”. They NEED others to be involved in this whole charade.

Milhouse in reply to Milhouse. | November 19, 2024 at 10:32 pm

Again, do you actually know any? I don’t think you do.

All the ones I know are doing it for themselves, not for anyone else, and try their best to blend in as their new gender and not draw attention to themselves. They just want to live a life that matches how they experience themselves; they want their outside appearance to match the way they look on the inside.

I am not referring to the performative / political “trans” who thrust themselves on the public’s attention and make demands of us. I don’t react well to those sort of demands. If you tell me I “must” address you in a particular way that’s the best way to get me to do the opposite.

But all the ones I know were “trans” long before it was cool, they sacrificed and suffered to get where they are now, because they felt they had no other choice. And back then you couldn’t get surgery without a doctor or two signing off on the psychological need for it, so the distress they felt without it was genuine. Also insurance didn’t pay for it, so they had to save up the money themselves.

I’m also not talking about small children who are playing pretend, which is completely normal and healthy for them, and who should be humored until they grow out of it, but should not be encouraged to actually start believing their own fantasies.

Males have no place in female locker rooms and showers either, but there are public schools trying to make it happen. It’s sick.

It is clear to me that Trans are mentally ill. This Trans person should not be seated in Congress. A person can be Gay but to physically change your body to try to make it another gender just does not work.

Milhouse in reply to JG. | November 19, 2024 at 4:52 pm

The constitution does not list sanity as a qualification for a seat in Congress, and no one has the authority to add to the list. The voters of the district elected McBride, therefore the House has no option but to seat him/her/it.

In both instances, that should be Capitol.

The city is the capital. The building’s name is “the Capitol”.

Mary calls this McBride dude a “trans woman.” But no, he’s not any kind of woman. I much prefer Macy’s term: McBride is a “trans identified man.”

Rep. Joe Morelle (D-N.Y.) says McBride is a woman? But but but Democrats say they aren’t biologists so can’t tell people what a woman is. How are they thus able to state categorically that any particular man is a woman?

They take her word for it.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair in reply to Milhouse. | November 19, 2024 at 10:48 pm

      First of all, HIS word.

Secondly, according to leftist theory, that means nothing. Someone can say he’s a girl and that is “true” for only that moment because he can decide, at any given moment, that he’s now a boy, again. It can happen any time, so say the leftists, so one can never know what gender someone is, except for at that exact moment that they say it, but that moment is fleeting and always in the past.

This is the basic idiocy of the leftist idea about it … let alone the lunacy of having 30 different sets of pronouns that people are supposed to keep track of and use for specific people at specific times.

By the leftists’ own words, you can NEVER know what someone’s gender is. You can only know what that person says it is and even then, it’s only for that particular moment, since they can just change their mind at any time.

She’s not a witness and there’s no trial happening. She’s a duly elected member of congress, who says she’s a woman. Her fellow Democrats, reasonably enough, take her at her word since they have no reason to question it. And for all ordinary purposes, so should everyone else, simply out of common courtesy and not being a d*ck. That doesn’t mean we have to actually believe her. It does mean we should treat her as if she is what she says she is, unless it really matters.

No, of course she isn’t really a woman. Why does that matter? If you’re a normal decent person, you treat her as she wishes to be treated, for all purposes where it doesn’t really matter. For purposes where her true sex is truly relevant, then courtesy has to give way to accuracy.
