Morning Media Slam Democrat Party: ‘They Need to Look in the Mirror’

“Only 32% of the electorate yesterday identified themselves as. Democrats. I would have to guess that’s probably the lowest number since maybe Herbert Hoover was president?”

Are you guys ready for the Democrat Civil War?

The media melted down last night after President-elect Donald Trump destroyed VP Kamala Harris.

Now, a few turned their anger on the Democrat Party.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: This wasn’t just a loss in those states. Democrats only won in Illinois by four points, only won in New Jersey by five points, bleeding support in New York, you can go around the country. It’s bad. Not just for Kamala Harris again. Kamala Harris kept…you know, Kamala Harris for these three states, she was like a percentage point away.

We’ve been calling her president this morning. I’m not saying, “Oh, well. She should be president.” I’m saying if you’re Kamala Harris, you can say, “Well, we ended up about 40,000 short in Wisconsin. Maybe a percentage point or two here and there.”

So that’s a presidential race. But the bigger problem with Democrats is nationwide. And this is what the Democratic Party needs to focus on. They can talk about Donald Trump. They need to look in the mirror because, get this number, Alex just gave this number to me.

Only 32% of the electorate yesterday identified themselves as. Democrats. I would have to guess that’s probably the lowest number since maybe Herbert Hoover was president? I don’t know. That’s as low as it goes for the Democratic Party. This is a party, and to their defense two weeks ago, some people in the Harris campaign were saying “We have a problem, we got a problem with young people. We got a problem with Hispanics. We got a problem.” And they thought over the next two weeks they were doing enough to catch up. They didn’t catch up enough.

And so now 32%…that is talking about a branding problem.

Former Biden spokesperson Symone Sanders blasted the Democrat Party for not using Biden and throwing him aside.

SANDERS: But I do have an indictment of some of the strategy. And again, the people that said Joe Biden was the problem. Where’s my camera?

PANELIST: He was not the solution.

SANDERS: Okay. I will just note that. I will just note that it is probably not the best idea that Democrats orchestrated a very public stab fest, a proverbial stabbing in the front of the sitting president of the United States of America and then didn’t use him in his hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania. I will defer to Mr. Lemur.

I see Portland doubling down, or worse, as they now have 12 commies in the city council, having expanded it from 5 in this election cycle. Their answer is always MORE of what we have been doing all along, yeah, that’s the ticket.

The ones that stay earned what they voted for. No sympathy for any and all damage they endure.
Actions have consequences, so does voting stupidly.

d/prog this AM; it’s YOUR fault… nuh uh, this is YOUR fault, ….hey let’s blame Biden…..nah let’s blame the party elders who shanked him …. after that we can get back to blaming voters who didn’t want Biden or Harris b/c it couldn’t be our polices the voters rejected….

“We could have done better running the senile wreck” is the limit of modern Democrat self-awareness, and it’s objectively monstrous.

Holy Moly, I didn’t even realize what happened in Illinois. In 2020, Biden carried the state by 17-points. Harris only carried it by 4-points. To put that in perspective, Illinois was closer this year than Florida was in 2020. Did anyone see a single poll that predicted this?

ChrisPeters in reply to TargaGTS. | November 6, 2024 at 10:27 am

Maybe the anti-voting fraud measures were more effective this time around . . .

Polling is dead. This election killed it. Selzer wasnt just wrong, she was wrong by 16 points, in her home state.

NGAREADER in reply to dwb. | November 6, 2024 at 11:16 am

Polling (and the media) normally cover up until just before the election, as they need to claim accuracy leading up to the next election.

This time they both rode the bomb down like Slim Pickens in Dr. Strangelove. Even after the polls closed, when there was no other motive other than their egos.

Now I want to see all those narcissistic celebrities heading to the airport and their next home country.

      “Polling is dead.”
Only if people have a shred of common sense. Next election everyone will be looking at polling results and it will affect the flow of money.

There was an internet claim yesterday that Seltzer had purposefully spiked the Iowa poll to try and somehow assist Harris by moving turnout numbers..

henrybowman in reply to CommoChief. | November 6, 2024 at 7:23 pm

This is why polling is crap. When you shave a poll down, do you demoralize that side, or do you increase their incentive to turn out? The argument for either way is persuasive.

    diver64 in reply to TargaGTS. | November 6, 2024 at 12:27 pm

Nope. The last polling I saw was, I think 538, very end of October and had Harris up 16 pts. Other polling before they stopped was anywhere from 16-20 pts. The fact Harris only managed a 4 pt shows how much the polls were wrong in a number of places. Iowa was equally off kilter but not as much.

Didn’t check it out but there are people saying harris only won the states that DO NOT require an ID to vote.

If they looked in the mirror it would crack. You simply cannot be introspective and support tyranny. A freaking Kennedy, who started this race running as a Democrat, dropped not just out of the race but the party to support Trump? I mean, come on.

There is no honesty on the left and most will never even try to understand this, because if they did, they wouldn’t be leftists.

Ah. It’s a “branding” problem. Not their policies, not their attitude towards the voters, not their obvious incompetence.

This is an evergreen approach for the Democrats. They never have any problem except people just didn’t get their message.

They need to call a mid wife. Mika Brzezinski looks like she’s gonna have a cow!

The corporate media “journalists” are either too stupid or too malicious to see their own part in turning many voters against the Democrat Party.

Their nasty unending attacks on Republicans, conservatives, and Trump supporters helped to bring about greater enthusiasm for Trump and the Republicans, and may even have helped open-minded Democrats to realize just how bad the Democrat Party has become.

JackinSilverSpring in reply to ChrisPeters. | November 6, 2024 at 11:02 am

DemoncRats “realize how bad the Democrat party has become”? The DemoncRat party has been a very bad party since its establishment by Andrew Jackson. It started by forcing Indians in the east to go west despite a US treaty to the contrary; it championed slavery after the rest of the English speaking world had abolished it; it tried to destroy the Union through secession and civil war; it nullified Reconstruction; it established segregation/Jim Crow laws and the KKK; it segregated the federal civil service and military under the aegis of “progressive” Woodrow Wilson; it interned Japanese-Americans without due process, some of whom lost their property and livelihood as a consequence; it has at this time returned to its segregationist and secessionist roots through DIE, CRT and demands to deconstruct the US; it has turned the US into a banana republic by prosecuting opponents; and some parts of it have embraced antisemitism if not Jewocide. So, it has not become a bad party, it has always been that way.

The media ran a hate campaign. Kamala did very little other than give the same speech for 3 months.

The Democrats have a problem, and the only prescription, is more wokeness. Clearly.

If only there was a way to know that 70% of the country thought it was on the wrong track.

DaveGinOly in reply to dwb. | November 6, 2024 at 10:57 am

What’s surprising about that metric is that a substantial percentage of voters voted for more “wrong track.” Or did they really believe that after nearly four years of the Biden administration DJT is still responsible for the country’s woes? Either way, those voters are morons.

I can see the salt mining operation is going to be very profitable.

This is how communists act. They turn on their own to explain failure. We have ample examples from the Soviet Union. A series of purges. Trotsky was a hero of the Red Army until he became the enemy, and had to be eliminated. Beria, once the most feared was purged and executed. Beria replaced Yezhov, also purged and executed. The Democratic Party has become our communist party. They cannot and will not accept the fact that Americans don’t want their program. Harris will become a non-person: Kamala who? Now they have to explain failure. The blame game starts. The purges will follow.

Here’s your analysis: The dems didn’t call Trump ‘h!tler’, or us ‘garbage’, enough. That’s why Trump & Co. won.

The self-righteous don’t understand self-reflection.

Want to put this horror to test so it will never rise again? Release the true Obama background with all the documentation. That is what emboldened the dems to install a demented old hack as president and nominate an addlepated moron.

Mirrors don’t reverse left and right, as commonly thought. They reverse front and back.

Or, ad the nee VP-elect said: “Can you hear yourself?”

One of the anchor schmucks on CBS this morning was talking about what Democrats had done he said “Did we… Did the Democrats” He let is slip who they all are even as they deny deny deny most of the time. Objective they claim. I don’t really care that they are Democrats I care that they pretend they are not. If they would acknowledge their bias and maybe let in a few people with a different one they could have much better shows.

Morning Media Slam Democrat Party: ‘They Need to Look in the Mirror’

What good would that do? Democrats have no reflection.

Projection is a thing some like these twits are oblivious to. Joe lecturing us that Biden could go toe to toe with Socrates when we could see for our own eyes he was not in the room was an epic self own
