DA Bragg Agrees to Postpone Trump’s Sentencing in Manhattan Case
“Assuming Defendant is permitted by the Court to file a motion to dismiss and does so promptly, the People ask that their response to Defendant’s motion be due on Monday. December 9.”
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg agreed to postpone President-elect Donald Trump’s November 26 sentencing.
A jury found Trump guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree to payoff Stormy Daniels.
Bragg told Merchan he opposes Trump’s push to dismiss the case. Bragg wrote:
Assuming Defendant is permitted by the Court to file a motion to dismiss and does so promptly, the People ask that their response to Defendant’s motion be due on Monday. December 9. The People believe that further proceedings before this Court should be adjourned to permit litigation of Defendant’s forthcoming motion to dismiss and, therefore, the People: would not oppose a defense motion for a stay of further proceedings before this Court while Defendant’s motion is adjudicated.
“This is a total and definitive victory for President Trump and the American People who elected him in a landslide. The Manhattan DA has conceded that this Witch Hunt cannot continue. The lawless case is now stayed, and President Trump’s legal team is moving to get it dismissed once and for all.” said Steven Cheung, Trump Communications Director.
NEW: In a new letter, Alvin Bragg's team tells Justice Merchan how they want to proceed with Trump's hush money case now that he's president-elect.

In September, Merchan delayed the sentencing from September 18 to November 26 to avoid accusations that he wanted to affect the election.
As we all know, Trump destroyed VP Kamala Harris on November 5.
However, on November 12, Merchan paused the case to allow Bragg to outline the next steps.
Merchan could also decide on Trump’s request for a new trial by tomorrow.
Is your head spinning? Mine is. I cannot keep up.
Obviously, a dismissal would be a YUGE win for Trump.

It’s not the defendant that belongs in a cold, dark prison cell, it’s the prosecutor and the judge. Their behavior and actions to deprive Mr. Trump of his liberty and 70 million odd people of their preferred candidate for president is at best election interference and at worst an act of treason. A proper sentence for such crimes should have their great grandchildren serving prison time.
Here’s hoping Alvin Bragg a Joyous 2025, in which he definitely doesn’t kill himself.
Or, step out in front of a speeding taxi, or “accidentally” get pushed in front of a subway car, or gets lost in the south Bronx at 3AM Saturday, or…
And has nobody like Daniel Penny to defend him…
If it isn’t dismissed
The real law will be coming for you fool
I will, of course, defer to the lawyers present, but how long can the judge allow this case to hang-fire like this? My understanding is that unless Merchan dismisses entirely, Trump cannot appeal the convictions unless and until the verdict is officially entered and a sentence handed down. Is Trump and everyone else supposed to just play Damocles for the next four years, waiting for Merchan to wake up in a bad mood?
I would imagine that NY criminal procedure law would not permit delaying sentencing almost indefinitely, which is what 4 years would amount to?
That’s exactly their ploy with this: to keep the whole travesty of Justice alive over Trump for the next four years, as they did with the whole fake Russia collusion investigation during his first administration.
This should not be allowed to stand.
The winner of the biggest loser competition is Matthew Colangelo, who left a top position at the US DoJ to work for Alan Bragg on this case. May his future legal career be restricted to offering unsolicited advice to family members.
Any relation to Orangelo or Lemongelo?
More like colon-gelo.
His career is coffinated.
The Communists bet everything on the Blue Queen winning the election. If that had happened, Trump, his advisors and supporters, the J6 defendants, and anyone else the Communists could get their hands on would be sent to die in the Garland gulag. But having lost, it would make the Communists look worse than they already do if their tried to actually incarcerate him.
If I had to bet money, I would say that Merchan will sentence Trump to prison but make zero effort to actually jail him. Then after January 20, 2025 the Communist Party and their media jackboot lickers’ spin will be, “Trump is a dangerous fascist dictator who unconstitutionally used his power to evade justice!”
ok so now DOJ n IRS
shud b up both their a$$
esp. the judges daughter. n
