Feministabulous, a left-wing podcaster, posted a video of Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer feeding her a Dorito as if it is the Eucharist.
I mean…what?! You know, it’s not edgy to mock Catholicism because everyone does it.
We roll our eyes for the most part.
Why in Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer feeding chips to a woman who’s on her knees?

It’s not actually Christ’s body so there’s no problem.
As a practicing Catholic, I find this hugely offensive. Can anyone imagine the public and media outcry if some red state governor participated in a TikTok or other social media skit that demeaned Islam, even in a subtle way? It’s not an exaggeration to say that riots and mayhem might follow. That person’s political career would be over. The media would see to it.

You don’t get a public outcry for mocking Islam. You get a response from jihadists.
Which is one reason no one mocks Islam.
The reason is that practicing Catholics won’t cut the offender’s heads off, or knife them in the street, or blow them up.
You can safely mock civilized people. Barbarians, not so much.
You’ll never see Whitmer get down on a prayer mat because it would make her fat * too irresistible a target.

Some religious music would be nice. Didn’t Bach do Catholic music? The lyrics of the Christmas Oratorio were by Martin Luther so perhaps not that one. For lyrics you can’t beat this. Note the German rhymes

If you can find the instagram link, it appears to be some kind of odd joke about the CHIPS act. Whitmer doesn’t have any background in tech. Nor does most of her voter base. So in those situations she defaults to “feminism”. Because that’s all she ever needed to do for the next election.

I’m a practicing Catholic in my 60s, so I’m well versed in all the calumnies thrown at the Church, both by other Christians and atheist mockers as well.
This is certainly tasteless and not really funny in any respect (it’s true that leftists don’t really understand humor unless it’s “making fun” of someone or something, like this. 12 year olds do it better).
I refused to be offended by something so stupid, particularly by a group that allows NO dissention or mockery against their own sacred tenants of baby murder, Covid mask sanctity or and sacrifice to the climate gods.
Now if that blogger chick had any guts she’d get on her knees like that in front of Lori Lightfoot.

And, let’s I get jumped by practiced Catholics, when I was a youngster, some of my Catholic friends actually practiced giving communion using necco wafers. A couple of those kids went on to join the Catholic clergy.

A friend of mine who is an avid film collector sent me a copy of a real oddity. Chrysler corporation did a 1967 promotional film intended for in-house use. It introduced all the new Dodge models. Tom lehrer of all people was the master of ceremonies for the whole thing. It’s very cleverly done, and was done in the days before today’s sensitivities. There’s enough in it to offend any ugly white women, given that they’re the main complainers of today.
In those days, Chrysler had colors like “plum crazy”, “Go Mango” and “Top Banana.” Inside joke was a color called “Statutory Grape”.
Chevy had “Hugger Orange”.. for which the question was “hug her orange what?”
At least the chips leave no stains…..
So then “feminists” would be OK with photo of woman kneeling before male governor and being hand fed??
You’re not supposed to receive communion with an unconfessed mortal sin on your soul. Here the communion itself is the mortal sin.

Was Whitmer supposed to be on the clock, and working for the people of Michigan during this stupid video’s recording?
Are there no functioning adults on her staff? No one asked why are you doing this?
