Teamsters Union President Sean O’Brien Unloads on Democrats: ‘What…Have You Done for Us?’

“And for once – and not all – but for once, we’re standing up as a union, probably the only one right now, saying, ‘what the f— have you done for us?’”

Teamsters Union President Sean O’Brien recently appeared on the Theo Von podcast and had some choice words for the Democratic party. This apparent rift with the Democrats has been obvious throughout this election season.

Sean O’Brien shocked many people by speaking at the Republican National Convention. Then the Teamsters Union declined to endorse a candidate for the first time in years, despite the fact that their members overwhelmingly back Donald Trump. O’Brien even clapped back at AOC over her criticism of their non-endorsement of Kamala Harris.

Democrats are worried about this and perhaps they should be. Something has shifted here.

The FOX Business Network reports:

Teamsters union President Sean O’Brien torches Democratic Party: ‘They have f—ed us over’

Teamsters President Sean O’Brien issued a sharp condemnation of the Democratic Party in a recent interview, saying the party has itself to blame for losing support from the union’s rank-and-file members.

“I’m a Democrat, but they have f—ed us over for the last 40 years,” O’Brien said during a sit-down with Theo Von for the comedian’s “This Past Weekend” podcast. “And for once – and not all – but for once, we’re standing up as a union, probably the only one right now, saying, ‘what the f— have you done for us?’”…

O’Brien acknowledged he is being “attacked from the left” over the decision, but he told Von that in the two-and-a-half years he has been president of the Teamsters, the union has given “the Democratic machine” $15.7 million and only given $340,000 to the GOP.

“So it’s like, you know, people say the Democratic Party is the party of the working people – they’re bought and paid for by Big Tech,” the union boss said. “And you’ve got the Republicans who are now saying, ‘hey, we want to be the working class party,’ right? And, okay, you’ve got a great opportunity right now to do that.”

Watch the clip below. Strong language warning, obviously:

Of course, O’Brien is leaving out one quite substantial thing that Democrats have done for the Teamsters Union recently. The union’s pension fund got what was basically a government bailout.

Joe Biden was so proud of this that he bragged about it publicly.

From the White House:

Statement from President Joe Biden on Protecting 600,000 Teamster Pensions

As of today, over 600,000 Teamster workers and retirees have pensions protected from devastating cuts. They earned those pensions after working for decades. And now they can retire with dignity.

This didn’t happen by accident. It’s because my Administration is keeping our commitment to America’s workers.

Today’s action protects the pensions of 70,000 workers and retirees in New England—including 6,000 in New Hampshire, where my team is making this announcement alongside Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan and the New England Teamsters Pension Fund. To date, we have protected more than 40,000 Teamsters in Ohio and Michigan; more than 30,000 in Illinois and Missouri; and more than 20,000 in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania.

Then again, when you consider the jaw dropping amount that the Teamsters Union has given to the Democratic party over the years, they probably felt this was owed to them.

However you look at it, this all adds up to a fascinating political development which is sure to impact the 2024 election on some level.

Biden green new deal going to force them to buy EV trucks that don’t work??

So union members get paid for sitting in a broken truck rather than driving a good one. It all pays the same.

pure bs on the unions part

the dems have done nothing but give them what they want

he is crying victimhood again

You look at this, and you think, “Black males, hispanics, and now unions are not supporting the Democrats.” It seems so obvious that no one wants Kamala. Then you look at the polls, and it’s roughly a 50-50 race within the margin of error. However you can discard the polls as they’re generally biased through their weighting. But:

Before you relax there’s one more thing to check: What does the money think? The best rule is always, “Follow the money.”

The betting has it at a dead heat….

So, given law-fare and cheating…. it’s beginning to look a lot like Kamala.

Yeah… I hate the idea, but we have to remember not to take false encouragement from reports like this.

Add in the Obama Factor – white suburbanites deathly afraid of being labeled racist to the point they will vote for a black supremacist – and it is easy to see the Blue Queen being installed in the White House by the same cabal that inflicted Biden* on us.

NEVER underestimate the staggering amount of death, pain and misery some voters will inflict on the nation so they can virtue signal.

Yes
Teamsters have near destroyed UPS
Don’t know if they will recover from last years immediate give in to the teamsters

His verbal eloquence matches his sartorial splendor.

As a retired Teamster I find his f-bombs embarrassing. My mom told me people who use those words are low vocabulary and use them as filler because they can’t think of anything else. I think O’Brien validates her theory.

Today’s WSJ article stated the job loss from the EV mandate. Those numbers will affect the election.

” what the f— have you done for us?”

This is a question that black voters should be asking the Dems. They have be reliably voting Dem since the 1960s and the policies of the Dems have caused a deterioration of their world. From breaking up the families, to damaging housing through rent control, to AA giving to the wrong idea that the black person is not actually equally able to succeed, the Dems have left them high and dry.

And.. O’Brien says “I’m a Democrat” like he would say “I am Irish”. No, the Irish he is stuck with, but he is only a Democrat (and reliable Democrat voter) because he chooses to be. When he mans-up and separates himself from them, in thought and deed, then his words will mean something.

As one wag put it: you cannot talk someone out of a position they were never talked into in the first place. American blacks – like many Jews and women – were terrorized into supporting the Communists. Blind fear always trumps reason and thinking, and that is how the Communists keep their people in line.

Moreover anyone why tries to think for themselves stands the chance of losing friends, loved ones, jobs, and even their freedom and lives. Communism is a jealous god.

The fact that most democrats STILL haven’t figured this out, even after being repeatedly screwed over for decades by the very people they voted for, shows just how stupid you have to be to support those communists.

“I’m a Democrat, but they have f—ed us over for the last 40 years,”
Talk about a slow learner, this guy makes Chaɿly look like Hawking.

“saying, ‘what the f— have you done for us?’”
Good grief. This union stooge must have a short memory. I take it when the Dems ——you over, they didn’t use protection??

“What have you done for me?”

What have you done for yourselves?

2smartforlibs | October 9, 2024 at 9:04 pm

Well to be honest dude the Democrat Party took real good care of the union leaders it was the rank and file that was stupid enough to follow and pay for it that suffered

I lost any respect I ever had for the Teamsters back in the 1960’s when I was in high school. Teamsters went out on strike against the SavOn Drug Stores in SO Cal. Union tried to shut down everything. but some scab drivers decided to stand in the gap to save he company from going broke. Friend of mine signed on as a lumper (loader, packer) on the run from the South LA COunty terminal down into San Diego. Second trip, as they opened the swing doors to back into the loading dock, my friend observed THREE BULLET HOLES in that back door that he KNEW were not there whey they loaded the truck that morning. He schlepped that load into the store warehouse, was rather quiet on the return trip, and never showed up again.
The fact that the union goon squad would resort to SHOOTING to try and force their way on the company struck me as just flat out plain WRONG.
As I started working outside my home to make chump change for bike yres and such it never struck me that there was anything wrong with agreeing (or not0 to accept the proffered pay for whatever job I was considering. Don’t like the pay? Make yourself worth more, or find someone else willing to pay you what YOU think you are worth. Simple equation.

I drove big rigs for a season, bought my own tractor and hired it and myself out to a local freight pool warehouse outfit. Made great money but I had to learn the ropes to maximise my driving time. AND work hard.
One time I backed into a door at a Safeway warehouse, full load of canning jars slip loaded (no pallets, cardboard sheet under, loose cases on the floor). I had to hand stack them in the proper pattern on the pallets. I noticed another load from my company two bay doors down. He had hired a lumper out at the gate, so there were two guys working that identical load.
When I went to the dockmaster to get my load counted and signed off as delivered, he realised I was from the same company as the other load of jars. Hey what gives? They got here an hour before you did, they still have freight on the floor and you’re done, working solo? I told him I get paid for results, not for time. I get loads when they don’t, I get second loads in the afternoon, I make a LOT more money than they do because they don’t work hard.
He was a lo more friendly to me after that day. Helped me get in and out and done more quickly.

WHo NEEDS a union anyway? All those overpaid union goons in management only add to the cost of moving the freight and put nothing into MY pocket. Its all about extra layers of padding that add to the cost of goods sold and take from what could go into MY pocket.
