New Harris-Walz Ad Targets Asians, Invokes FDR’s Internment Camps

New Harris-Walz Ad Targets Asians, Invokes FDR’s Internment Camps

Disgusting.

So VP Kamala Harris released an ad targeting Asians, making them think former President Donald Trump will do horrible things to them:

NARRATOR: The Liberty Bell. The Constitution. The Statue of Liberty.

Symbols of American democracy alive in our communities today, under attack.

We have a choice between someone who wants unchecked power and has an outdated vision of America that has no place for us…

Or a president who will respect all Americans, who will never view us as “others.”

Protect our democracy and our communities. Vote.

VICE PRESIDENT KAMALA HARRIS: I’m Kamala Harris and I approve this message.

This is from the campaign’s press release email:

But with Trump’s alarming threats to be a dictator on “day one,” terminate the Constitution, and use the military against the “enemy from within,” the impacts of this election go far beyond policy. “Our America” shows the stark choice that voters face not on a specific issue, but on authoritarianism and Asian Americans’ very right to belong. It spotlights symbols of American freedom under attack by Trump and his extremist allies, and alludes to moments when Asian Americans were denied their civil rights – such as the mass incarceration of Japanese Americans during World War II and the 1982 murder of Vincent Chin in Detroit. The ad ends by urging voters to rally around Vice President Harris and defend democracy.

Do you know who put Japanese Americans in internment camps? DEMOCRAT Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Of course, abortion because that’s Harris’s religion.

The ad invokes the 1982 murder of Vincent Chin, implying these murders will happen under Trump. I’m not kidding.

Here’s a background of Chin’s death. It’s horrific:

On the night Chin went out with his friends, 43-year-old Chrysler foreman Ronald Ebens and his 22-year-old stepson Michael Nitz, who’d lost his job at Chrysler, were also at the club. According to testimony, a dispute started between the groups of men over a stripper. A dancer at the club later recalled Ebens shouting at Chin, “It’s because of you motherf***ers that we’re out of work.”

After the scuffle moved outside, Ebens grabbed a baseball bat from his car and began chasing Chin, who ran away. Ebens and Nitz then drove around for about 20 minutes looking for Chin. When they found him, Nitz held Chin while Ebens beat him to death with the baseball bat. Chin died in the hospital four days later from his injuries.

The killers “received a $3,000 fine and zero prison time.” It caused “national outrage and fueled a movement for pan-Asian American rights.”

Democrats are the ones attacking and hating Asians. The state of California even amended the state Constitution by referendum to limit Asians in state colleges. Remember that??

If only Trump would do those things I would vote for him enthusiastically instead of holding my nose.

This ad is wrong on so….. many levels.
First as mentioned above, WWII internment camps were an FDR policy, not a Trump policy.

Now the Vincent Chin sentencing was a travesty.
The sentencing judge should never have sat on the case, being a US veteran who survived internment in a Japanese Death Camp there was obvious at least appearance of prejudice, which no prison time for out and out premeditated murder only confirms. But it was the local Detroit justice system, the DAs office, which pled the case down to manslaughter, allowing such a sentencing.

This happened in 1985. Detroit hasn’t elected a Republican as mayor since 1962. It’s pretty much a one-party enclave. The wikipedia article covering this was, I noticed, very very absent on the party affiliation of the “let ’em go judge”. Eventually I was able to hunt down that the judge was (D). Surprised, not surprised.

If the perps were auto worker, they were also likely Democrats.

Yeah, the Dhimmi-crats’ revered god of “liberalism” and the Welfare State, FDR, instituted the internment camps.

The Dhimmi-crat Party is the party of slavery and citizen internment — that’s undisputed.

Say Kamala, Projection much?

Kamala countered by announcing her new policy to transform institutions like Harvard, Columbia, U of California (all branches), and magnet school systems in places like Boston, Fairfax County, and Silicon Valley into “externment camps,” which will keep Asians safe by ensuring they never enter.

I seem to recall the overwhelmingly d/prog Covid Karens wanting to use camps here for the unvaxed as was done in Australia. They had to settle for blowing up the economy, locking the doors of small business, shutting down schools, arresting those who dared to defy the restrictions on religious liberty by attending worship services, funerals and weddings.

Didn’t have time to read the posting, but assume Harris is threatening Americans of Asian dissent with concentration camps if they don’t vote for her?

“NARRATOR: The Liberty Bell. The Constitution. The Statue of Liberty.

Symbols of American democracy alive in our communities today, under attack.”

Umm…the Constitution isn’t a “symbol of American democracy.” It’s the whole basis and foundation of our Republic. That Kamala so devalues it is terrifying.

Also, how is Trump attacking the Liberty Bell and Statue of Liberty? Did I miss some campaign promises to remove them or something?

      ThePrimordialOrderedPair in reply to irishgladiator63. | October 26, 2024 at 2:47 pm

I think their claim about ‘attacking the Statue of Liberty’ has to do with the fact that Trump wants America to have real borders and enforce them, to actually defend American sovereignty. The Dems want to claim that the Statue of Liberty stands for the whole world owning America and anyone who decides to come here having a right to be let in and to live off of any and all American government services.

Yes, they are insane and they only appeal to people who hate this country … but, sadly, we have a lot of people here who hate this country and want to see it destroyed.

      CommoChief in reply to irishgladiator63. | October 26, 2024 at 8:00 pm

Pretty sure the context on the Statue of Liberty is the Emma Lazarus poem The New Collosus; ‘…give me your tired…’

Reopen Ellis Island and stick that propaganda poem straight back up where the sun don’t shine. Just like the late 19th and early 20th century all these 21st century immigrants can go through Ellis Island. Of course the daily throughout would be limited and everyone gotta go through screening and quarantine after waiting their turn on converted barges ….

And this is all even more laughable since the dems and their shock troops have been feverishly tearing down every and any symbol of America they could get their grubby little hands on. Not just screaming about these things but actually tearing them down, vandalizing them, and destroying them.

It’s the very definition of chutzpah to see dems, who hate America with a burning passion, pretend they are the defenders of America. They totally despise this country, blame us for every ill in the world (anyone remember Barky’s treasonous World Traitor Tour, where he went around the world claiming that America is the cause of all their ills) and have been in a serious, full-force effort to totally dismantle it since their ineligible candidate, Barky, first slimed into office.

At some point, these traitors need to be held accountable.

ThePrimordialOrderedPair | October 26, 2024 at 2:38 pm

and the 1982 murder of Vincent Chin in Detroit

Huh?

I thought Vinnie the Chin was that mobster who pretended to be crazy and walked around Manhattan in a bathrobe …

I wonder how many honest Asians were screwed because of Harris DA not doing her job?

Early voting started here in NJ today. There was a long line to get into a polling station to vote! I have never seen a line to get into a polling station here in NJ. And I am in the Acela corridor. My daughter asked me who they were voting for and I KNOW they were for Trump. You can just tell.

Speaking as someone of Asian descent [Chinese] who has in the distant past had to carry a gun to high school because of anti-Asian prejudice [during and immediately after the Tet Offensive], it has always be Democrats and other Leftists who have threatened me. Kamala and the Left lust after concentration camps for those who oppose them.

Subotai Bahadur

I really hope someone asks her what she thinks of the legacy of Democrat FDR and his camps. As soon as she tries to turn it on Trump just say “So you are saying Trump is like FDR?”

    oldvet50 in reply to healthguyfsu. | October 27, 2024 at 7:56 am

Although I loathe FDR and his socialist policies, I do understand the reason for the Japanese camps. The religion most of them practiced, even as US citizens, was Shintoism which worshipped the emperor Hirohito as a god. The kamikaze pilots also worshipped this man. This was a new type of warfare (suicide bombers that are very prevalent in another religion today) that most Americans feared, and understandably so. It was not until 1946, after WW2 ended, that Hirohito officially renounced his ‘deity’.

Lucifer Morningstar | October 26, 2024 at 8:12 pm

But . . . but . . . it was Franklin D. Roosevelt, a democrat, that signed Executive Order 9066 that lead to the establishment of “military zones” in the United States which lead to the eventual forced relocation and incarceration in camps of every Japanese-American citizen in the United States as suspected spies and saboteurs for the duration of World II.

I wonder how many people realize that FDR, a democrat, was responsible for the imprisonment of Japanese-Americans. Not many I’d wager. But there you go and here we are.

About the same number as realize that Democrats were the party of slavery, the KKK, and Jim Crow. They’ve spent 50 years gaslighting the country that Republicans did all that.

Just a reminder: the only controversy about FDR’s internments is that he interned Japanese Americans. He also interned enemy aliens, and as far as I know that was not controversial at the time, and has never been controversial since. And that is the law that Trump has threatened to invoke. American citizens have nothing to fear from that law, no matter where they or their ancestors came from.

Another reminder: George Takei makes a big deal about his family’s internment, but tries to give the impression that this was part of the controversial internment of Japanese Americans. But that is not true. His father was interned because he was not an American at all, but an enemy alien; the rest of the family went with him. I think if more people realized that they would view his history differently.
