IDF Discovers Expansive Hezbollah Underground Compound Stocked With Weapons

IDF Discovers Expansive Hezbollah Underground Compound Stocked With Weapons

The IDF also eliminated a top Hezbollah commander and the Hamas terrorist in charge of the paraglider infiltrations.

The soldiers of the 8th Brigade combat team, under the command of the 91st Division, continue to conduct limited, localized, targeted raids based on precise intelligence in southern Lebanon. Together with the Yahalom Unit, IDF soldiers located an underground compound stretching across 800 meters that served as a command center for Hezbollah’s Radwan Forces.

Inside the underground compound, the IDF found helicopter-fired missiles, mortar shells, motorcycles, living quarters, and means for long-term stays, including a kitchen stocked with food and supplies.

Hezbollah intended to mobilize these weapons as part of their “Conquer the Galilee” invasion plan and deliberately embedded this underground command center below a civilian area in southern Lebanon.

During the targeted raid on the compound, the troops engaged in an encounter with a terrorist who had embedded himself in the headquarters. Guided by an Israeli Air Force aircraft, the terrorist was eliminated. The troops are continuing their activity in the area and are investigating the tunnel route.

IDF Spokesperson RAdm Daniel Hagari: “They were planning, with these motorcycles here, to enter Kiryat Shemona, to Yiftah, to villages and positions inside Israel and conduct a massacre. They were here only a couple of days ago.”

Attached is a video announcement of the IDF Spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, from the underground tunnel:

The IDF posted more photos of weapons and videos of the tunnel.

Southern Lebanon: IDF eliminates another Hezbollah terror commander

After Sunday’s deadly strike by Hezbollah on an IDF training camp in northern Israel, the Israeli armed forces are expanding their ground operation in southern Lebanon. ‘IDF warns residents of 25 southern Lebanese villages to evacuate amid Hezbollah operations,” the Israeli news website YNET reported Tuesday.

Israeli fighter jets killed another Hezbollah terror commander in the area. “The IAF (Israel Air Force) struck and eliminated in the area of Nabatieh the terrorist Muhammad Kamel Naeem, the Commander of Hezbollah’s Radwan Forces Anti-tank Missile Unit,” the military said in a press statement Monday.

The slain terrorist was behind numerous cross-border attacks, the military confirmed. “Muhammad Kamel Naeem was responsible for planning and executing numerous terrorist attacks, including anti-tank missile attacks against Israeli civilians,” the IDF added.

On Sunday night, four Israeli soldiers were killed, and several troops and civilians were seriously injured in a Hezbollah drone strike in northern Israel. “A Hezbollah drone strike on a military base near Binyamina, north-central Israel, on Sunday night left four IDF soldiers dead and 58 others wounded,” Israel’s i24NEWS TV channel reported Monday. “The attack, which targeted a dining hall at a training base, is under investigation by the IDF as it looks into how the drone breached Israeli airspace undetected.”

IDF, Shin Bet Eliminate Terrorist in Charge of Paragliders From October 7

The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated Samer Abu Daqqa, Hamas’s head of aerial operations.

Abu Daqqa was in charge of the paragliders who flew into the music festival on October 7:

In September 2024, Israeli Air Force fighter jets, guided by Military Intelligence and the Shin Bet, targeted and killed Abu Daqqa. He had taken over the role after the previous leader was eliminated in October 2023.

Abu Daqqa was responsible for multiple aerial terror attacks, including launching drones toward Israel and IDF soldiers. He was pivotal in developing Hamas’s aerial capabilities and orchestrated the use of paragliders and unmanned aircraft during the deadly attack on October 7.

Before assuming his leadership role, Abu Daqqa served as Hamas’s head of UAV operations until Operation Guardian of the Walls in May 2021. He also oversaw weapons manufacturing in Hamas’s production unit, contributing significantly to projects aimed at enhancing Hamas’s aerial capabilities in Gaza.

Hamas preventing Gaza civilians from evacuating combat areas

With the IDF pushing ahead with its ground operation in northern Gaza, Hamas terrorists are preventing Gazans — often by the use of force — from leaving the designated combat areas.

“Hamas is actively preventing Gazan civilians from heeding the IDF’s calls to move away from the combat zone in Jabaliya,” the military said. “In one conversation between an IDF representative and a Gazan civilian during the evacuation, the Gazan civilian described how Hamas forces were hitting them with sticks in order to prevent them from evacuating from the area.”

The IDF in early October launched a ground offensive in the area of Jabaliya in northern Gaza after intelligence reports confirmed that Hamas was regrouping and rebuilding its terrorist force in the region.

Since Israel began the Gaza operation in the wake of the October 7 massacre, Hamas has used civilians as human shields, repeatedly ambushing Israeli soldiers to try to facilitate a safe passage for Gaza residents. “While the IDF makes every effort to move civilians away from the battlefield, Hamas continues to make every effort to keep civilians in the line of fire,” the military noted.

So, what happens to the weapons the IDF found? I bet they are repurposed and are pointed in the opposite direction towards what is remaining of Hezbollah

it is the IDF practice to use the weapons to enhance destruction of the facilities. However I agree with you. The anti-air and RPGs should be repurposed. The latter for kibbutz and settlement armories, the SAMs military field deployment against helicopters.

The IDF had better finish cleaning up Gaza, Lebanon, and responding to Tehran very soon. If Kamala is elected, they will be totally on their own battling the rockets aimed at them from every direction.

I suspect the expansive underground may extend to Columbia U. Just a guess.

Paragliders.

lol

IDF Discovers Expansive Hezbollah Underground Compound Stocked With Weapons

Deja vu …

Back in 1982, when Israel had to go after the PLO in southern Lebanon, they found large caches of Soviet weapons. I seem to remember something about a gigantic cache found in a soccer stadium.

Back then, Israel was capturing so much Soviet weaponry from arab armies and terror groups that Israel had become the largest(?) exporter of Soviet weaponry outside of the Soviet Union, itself.

The years pass … and the names change … but it’s all still the same.
